Xpert Eleven Season 8: Villan still a loser
gaggle64 replied to Mr_Odwin's topic in General Chit Chat
Whoo! 2-1 away? Very pleasant surprise I must say - squad hasn't been in the best of form recently. -
Guh, trying to build up the mental fortitude to phone Scottish Gas and find out how exactly they reckon we've used more than twice as much gas and electricity in three weeks then in the previous two and half months. Their's nothing more soul destroying then dealing with this kind of thing, spending 45mins waiting to talk to some poor burke trapped in some lifeless cubicle of self hatred somewhere. I don't paying the damn things, I just hate having to put so much effort into making sure I'm correctly billed. Grrr.

That's pretty funny - Still doesn't hold a candle to Flight of the Conchords in my own humble estimation though.

My year has been pretty decent actually. Moved in with a bunch of super guys in a nice student house, all nice, clean and quiet. Excellent year of sport too. Next year should certain be interesting when I finish up my degree and all. I think I am a little nervous about my next move but things seem to be more or less on track.

Don't apologise, it's what everybody needs at some point or another - good to get it off your chest somewhere.

It's difficult not to be impressed by his quick reaction, especially for a bloke at 60+.

Happy Birthday Queen of Fun!

He's just taking up space now, and I think he's all too well aware of it. I thought he had rather good moment at the unveiling of the customary presidential portrait to be placed in the White House after he leaves:

Having a rather sub-par season. It all should be worth it come the next change report, I hope. -

One would assume it would mean a reduction in consumption as the focus turns to fuel management in order to survive the full race, as well as a smaller pit crew.

Overall I'm pretty upbeat about the new changes - the new engine regs and banning refueling makes financial sense. I think the compromise they reached on standarised engines seems like the most amicable solution. Not sure why you would ban tyre warmers, I suppose we could have some pretty interesting starts to races as a result. I think it's interesting that the sport seems to be retracing it's step's to an early nineties style format, but I do want to see the sport move on to fresher pastures when they get together to sort out 2013 and beyond. I do however think paring down the technical side to it will make the sport a lot more accessible to new teams and fans. My only other hope is that "market research" puts a stop to some of their stranger ideas - that needless medal system in particular.

Happy Birthday! (And surely the title should've been Best Served Fresh, no?)

Short Circuit The original Wall-E. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I... am... ALIVE! Undercover Brother Denise Richards makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Too funky for myself.

I was having a really super day today, chilling out, doing a little work and such when one of my housemates told that she was having a really super time with everyone, that I was a super housemate and that she honestly didn't think that her housemates next year could possibly be as fun to be around as all of us. This left me feeling rather depressed: I had forgotten we would all be parting our separate ways again in six months. ._.

According to Autosport.com a full five teams have expressed interest in the standard Cosworth-spec engines: Williams, Red Bull, Force India, Torro Rosso, and Renault. Yeah that's right. Renault. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/72413

Releases I purchased this year include GTAIV, GRID, The World Ends With You, Castle Crashers, Mirror's Edge, Geometry Wars 2, Lost Winds Left 4 Dead, Penny Arcades 1&2, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Far Cry 2 and I still intend to grab the likes of Advance Wars, Viva Pinata 2, Okami and Zach and Wiki. And possibly Boom Blox at some point. It's been another vintage year if you ask me.

Been at the gym bitches, busting my quads. Well, at least I think it's my quads. Something on my body certainly hurts.

Seems likely Button will be back in a Torro Rosso if Honda doesn't get snapped up. http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3478_4596633,00.html

I don't worry too much, but I do like to make an effort with my friends and such. I like to maintain a nice group dynamic. According to my friends, I'm quite the eccentric and highly unreserved, (mind you, I think of them as rather reserved.) My family are often coming to for advice, I seem to be the wise, thoughtful one of the household to them. My tutor seems to suspect I'm an alcoholic manic depressive. To be honest I think they're all right.

Good lord! Wonderful to have you back m'dear.
