    De Blob

Woohoo! Even just more of the same would make me a happy puppy. I quite like not saving during levels, makes you put aside a good couple of hours to play. What would be nice, is when you've completed the main level, if it could stop the clock, so you can try find all the hidden stuff without constantly dying from time running out.
  2. ...AAAAAAAAAAAAND it's gone. http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=113022#comment-section
  3. NiGHTS: Journey Of Dreams (Wii) because it was NiGHTS. Looked great in screenshots, had nice story, decent music...then tried playing it. Framerate from hell made it unplayable. "You make me want to surviiiiiiiiiiiiive!" Funny enough, this is 1 of the few games that still holds up graphically on the Saturn & doesn't look horribly pixellated. Impossible to control tho. Shatter (PS3) Amazing soundtrack (bought it off the website before I'd even finished listening to it!) Game got really good reviews, but i just didn't get the gameplay - seemed quite mundane. Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (PS2) Great atmosphere and story, with 1 of the best soundtracks ever (i'd say on a par with SCIV on the SNES). Gameplay was repetitive & quite frustrating, but still enjoyed playing through it. Audio Audio Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (NES) - for its 2-colour digitised Obi Wan face popping up and saying "LUUUUUKE!" in really low quality.
  4. Yes, you are the only one. There there.
  5. They'll get their sale from me, whether it comes out here or not, cut or uncut.
  6. Can't believe it didn't get a higher score than 8.2 - from the way he was going on i thought it'd be around 9. Gamespy loved it: http://uk.wii.gamespy.com/wii/no-more-heroes-2/1063845p1.html
  7. DK 48 hour marathon:
  8. Box looks nice... but is it genuine? I'd have expected at least the title to be in Katakana...
  9. Feature on EGTV show: http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/the-egtv-show-silent-hill-shattered-memories Preordered for £25 at zavvi
  10. Ok, now i'm excited.
  11. Just bought Psyvariar from shopto (set me back a whole £1.96), it arrived still sealed & i'm now contemplating whether to leave it that way...! Anyone played the new Jak & Daxter?
  12. Was looking at the sales figures on vgchartz: Wii: http://www.vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=33214&region=All Pretty depressing. Then thought "out of interest, wonder how the other recent Silent Hill games have done?" So looked at Homecoming. 360: http://www.vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=24705&region=All PS3: http://www.vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=24706&region=All Scarily similar.
  13. Beyond Good & Evil was criticised for being too short, at around 6 hours. If this is anywhere near as good as BG&E, bring it on
  14. For a second i thought "has he posted a pic of himself as a baby?"...then the whole "waidda minute gamecube is only 10 years old" thing kicked in!
  15. Woohoo, 3 more sales Dear Capcom, Please revoke your comments about your mature titles not selling on Wii. Love us. Played through 2-* last night,
  16. Bumpworthy: The short version: Nothing but praise for this title. So far it's a 10/10. Got this dirt cheap on shopto.net's sale, thought i'd try it out last night. 1 of my housemates was around so i stuck a mote in his hand to help try out the first stage in co-op. Died pretty quickly. Restarted. Got a bit further, 1 of us died, other got further still, then died. Realised this is no Lego Star Wars / Indy, it's not gonna hold your hand and encourage you through the story. It's tough...yet it felt great - the characters' handling and even quicktime waggle events are really accurate. Yes, waggle and accurate in the same sentence. Who would've thought. Restarted after rethinking the strategy, and got a lot further. Died in the final room. 4th time, 1 of us survived the final room (after a wave of baddies the other player is respawned) so we finished the 1st level. Upgraded health/damage & without even hesitating, started the next stage. Died a couple of times, but getting further each time. Felt great. Finished 1-2. Upgraded again, went onto 1-3. Same for 1-4, 1-5, 1-6, 1-7. Realised the 15 minute "try out" had become 2 hours. Figured we were close enough to the final 1-* boss, so carried on with 1-8. Amazingly impressive boss fight, finished the 1st section of the game. Yes, under the hood, this is a classic arcade brawler. It's also probably the most fun co-op Wii game you'll ever play. Graphics are amazing, some of the best seen on Wii. The characters' models & animations are great, and some of the environments look like the developers have found the Wii's secret pixel shader chip. It runs at a solid 60fps. Not only helps the graphics look extra slick & polished, but helps gameplay & controls. The controls and handling are spot on & responsive, never feeling unfair. Even the quicktime combo moves which use waggle are probably the most accurate i've seen. The transitions between the players' moves/anims flow seamlessly. Music & sound effects are great & atmospheric. You can pick up this game really cheap now. Do it.
  17. Please do - i vote video review!
  18. Spotted at services on the M5:
  19. You'll never get an itch if you're as cool and collected as Tom Cruise in the start of Minority Report. Then again, i have blown myself up with grenades multiple times on The Conduit by scratching my head.
  20. Hope that doesn't mean "real sequel on grown-up consoles and Wii gets an on-rails shooter"...!
  21. Thanks a zillion for the comics Sprout, and putting in the extra effort to get them finished by today! Hope you have a great xmas / new year & enjoy using your wacom tablet
  22. Also made me think of Super Paper Mario, like using the 3rd dimension to make him fall off the 2D platform
