  1. Silo & Siberia stand out as 2 levels where i got lost quite a bit. It's linear in that you do this, then this, then this, then this, in that order... but wandering around the levels are not linear at all, compared to more modern FPSs like Modern Warfare, Bioshock, Dead Space, Prey, Doom 3 and of course the first Conduit.
  2. The third Turok, on the other hand, had probably the smoothest frame rate i ever saw on the N64 apart from F-Zero X.
  3. I'd personally jump in & decapitate the police who were trying to handcuff him with my Beam Katana MK III. Then probably be disappointed at the amount of blood that gushes out of their necks (& blame it on being in PAL territory).
  4. No, no, no. The demo was terrible. The level designers had been smoking cheese (speed pads in front of rows of rings, but they boost you off in a random direction & you fall off the end of the world), physics with baddies, boxes, jumping were all broken, and you fell through the environment for no reason every 30 seconds. A taste of things to come... I gotta give credit to Silver's levels in the main game tho - actually enjoyed playing his bits.
  5. Like many, at first glance i liked the Mario one the most. But the more i look at them, the more i like the style of the Metroid one - you should be hired as the artist for Other M!
  6. Was this playing with the balance board or remote?
  7. Yep new one has splitscreen. Check the screenshots on the previous page!
  8. Oops, me too for posting it then "Conduits From Hell" gets my vote
  9. 1 or 2 new screenshots here: http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=77639
  10. It's sold similar amounts to Bayonetta on the other platforms, also made by Platinum Games. Madworld: 460,000 Bayonetta 360: 480,000 Bayonetta PS3: 540,000 So it's not like, "Oh if it was released on 1 of the other platforms it'd have sold 2 million". Also: &reg2=All&game2=Bayonetta+-+X360[25464]&reg3=All&game3=Madworld+-+Wii[22383]&weeks=100"]Bayonetta vs Madworld graph Seems to be having slower, steadier sales than Bayonetta.
  11. Mike Hayes of SEGA says (again) that Wii is not the right platform for their mature games. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/99745-Sega-MadWorld-and-Wii-Were-a-Mismatch
  12. HOLY MOTHER OF FUCK!!!! That music is amazing! Can't believe i've not heard it before (actually can believe it, since i don't really play RPGs but still) Thanks so much for posting. Definitely an OST on my want list now
  13. What's all the fuss about - anyone who played the first in Europe probably imported a US copy anyway, just just import this one too :p
  14. Glad this was posted, let's face it it's the best part (if the only part) of this vapourware we'll get to experience. Somewhere a room full of investors are kicking themselves for letting the wool get pulled over eyes for so many years.
  15. You have a good point marcel - the "gems" have been snowed under with crap At least the first Resi Evil rail shooter, the 2nd one sold much less (along with Dead Space Extraction)... but despite hating the on-rails idea myself, i found the original Dead Space pretty linear too (replaying Perfect Dark on XBLA made me realise just how much modern FPS's hold your hand through the script). I tend to think it's mostly marketing budget: If you can throw enough money at billboards, tv ads, bus stop posters, mens' magazines, etc to completely brainwash the public into thinking it's the next big thing & it's cool to have, they'll buy it. You just don't see that for any core Wii games (compared to eg. Gears of War / Halo), only for casual games like fitness & karaoke. Back on subject, i can't believe Homecoming on the 360 has sold the most out of any Silent Hill game. It was interesting enough but nothing like some of the others in the series. This one's definitely taking the cake as my favorite tho
  16. Ho ho ho, surely you could be talking about any FPS on any platform.
  17. Loved the first, v excited for the second (Oh, i'm sorry, was i meant to be all nitpicky & critical & split hairs over every small annoyance in the game, above the sheer fun of playing through it? Hate to disappoint).
  18. My prayers may be heard! http://mundorare.com/news/2010/03/perfect-dark-xbla-getting-fixes-and-new-features-in-late-april/ Hope they also fix the "achievements don't unlock" and "music goes wrong on the high notes" bugs...
  19. Got my copy of Castlevania: Curse of Darkness a couple of days ago. I'm sure the graphics are worse than Lament of Innocence tho Will have to fire up LoI again to check. Yes i was 1 of the 1.5 people in the world that liked LoI. Also ordered Jak & Daxter Lost Frontier 'cos it was cheap, but not arrived yet.
