Oh, how I wish that was true for me The damage is negligible once an enemy powers up. The stun lock helps but it's highly situational. Edit: Just learned that buying better equipment is vital. The difference it made after I'd bought wrist and waist armor was quite substantial.

You people should ramp up the difficulty. Mindlessly using combos and bashing enemies is a no-go. There's quite a bit of strategy involved. I'm currently getting my ass kicked by a combination of enemies...

The game opened up a little just now. However, there are a lot of enemies in certain areas that kill me in one hit, so I'll avoid these for now. Need more Hacksilver for better equipment.

I'm not a huge fan of multiplayer only games and "on-going service"-type titles but it's Housemarque. I'm intrigued. No platforms have been announced, yet, as far as I'm aware.

Woke up early, went to the gym, have to do some shopping now but then it's back to GoW Haven't played as much as I wanted yesterday. Wasn't feeling too well, but it's all better now. Usually I don't like "sidekicks" in video games but Atreus is a welcome exception. Interactions between him and Kratos feel natural, both during "cut-scenes" and gameplay. He's a huge help during fights. At first I didn't use his bow and arrows that much, but they are vital to success. By the way, what difficulty are people playing on? I'd love to see a fight against Draugrs on a lower difficulty than Give Me God of War. I'm interested in how much their behaviour changes between difficulties. Also:

Sweet Jesus...the highest difficulty doesn't fuck around. Two or three mistakes and you're dead...My progress is very slow because of that. But it's not frustrating. Combat is so much fun.

Turned off the HUD completely (i.e. set it to "immersive mode") and set the difficulty to Give me God of War. ... I still haven't won the first battle. Well...onto attempt number four The game looks and sounds spectacular. Impressive what is possible with the PS4. Edit: YES, I did it. Never in my life have I felt this kind of rush in a video game during the first encounter with enemies. Seriously, I was nervous as fuck because I was one hit away from death and the enemies got stronger during the battle...phew, close call Edit²: Decided to turn on combat HUD and health bars. It's vital information that I just need to see on screen in order to adapt during a fight. Compass, enemy off-screen indicator and gameplay notifications remain turned off, though.

Alright, Housemarque. I know you guys are done with arcade games and that decision made me sad, but it's time to prove that you're able to create an awesome game in a different genre

Fucked up my schedule and did one of my workout programs twice in a row so I had a week long break for Deadlifts and Shoulder Press. Still managed to increase Deadlifts to 57.5kg and was able to do 5x5. Also succeded 5x5 Shoulder Press with 35kg. It was fucking tough, though, and my form wasn't good for the last few reps. I think I'll just stick with the weight next time and see if it'll be better. The other workout: Squats - 5x5 with 60kg Bench Press - 5x5 with 45kg Pendlay Row - 2x4 inbetween 3 sets of 5 reps with 42.5kg Happy with my progression. I've reached personal bests for Bench Press and Pendlay Row Squats and Deadlift appear to be going well, too. Increasing the load is going smoothly for these two exercises. Shoulder Press is a bitch, as it always has been

By the way, did anybody give Jack White's new album Boarding House Reach a listen? It's bloody amazing.

Lol. I'll be so god damn happy when devs stop jumping on the Battle Royale bandwagon. I mean, add a Battle Royale mode if you want but a big fuck you in your face if you remove campaign mode for that. Black Ops 3's campaign was incredible, especially in Co-op. I'm out, too, if this is true.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is one hell of a ride. Ridiculously over the top but fun. This is what it's all about. Not sure if I'll go for the Platinum. There are a shit ton of collectibles and I already missed some. Don't really like playing a game for the first time and using a guide. Anyway, I hope I'll finish this before God of War is released on Friday, but it'll be a close call.
