Two weeks of lab work are now behind me. To get the negative out of the way: I expected faster work from myself. The experiment took a little longer than I hoped. I guess I should've expected that...most of the stuff I had to do I have already done in a practical course but that was 5 years ago. I remembered a bit but not enough to work without help. It's also a new environment to work in. Still...it kind of bothers me. Other than that: The lab work is fun. To actually do research and experiments with new results (as compared to practical courses in which you just "follow orders" and do what has been done numerous times before) is awesome. Getting those first results and evaluating them...it was fun Now onto next week. Already thought about what I wanna do (pretty much the same experiment but with different chemicals to compare results). Can't wait Oh and, congrats @bob

Great to hear that the BC is delivering on all fronts. Personally, I don't care that much about BC so the Series X/S was never really on the cards for me, given the non-existent exclusives right now, but I still enjoy reading those BC impressions from you ladies and gents Still can't believe next-gen is here (at least half of it in EU ).

Probably won't be able to take some time away from the lab next Friday. Way too much to do. (but it's fun, so no biggie ) Also: Forgot that I'll visit my sister two days after the PS5's release. My plans for the weekend have changed drastically Still: Cannot freaking wait for the time I'll spend with the new console. Kinda funny how I will not be able to buy a true next-gen game for a while. I'll have to make due with Astro's Playroom, but given reviews and impressions it'll be awesome. Gonna spend most of my first few weeks with the PS5 with Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, I reckon. Just bought it for a fiver and have started it on my PS4. I most likely won't be able to finish it in time for next-gen Here's hoping Amazon.de won't fuck up my pre-order...

I also didn't expect to get so many responses to my Burnout Paradise Remastered post Somehow I remember reading a lot about how the open world doesn't really work with the game. Doesn't matter because anybody saying that is wrong. WRONG, I say! I played the multiplayer only for the trophies. It's a great mode but only if the host actually initiates some races/events/challenges.

Finished Burnout Paradise Remastered and got the Platinum (my 80th ). One of the best arcade racers. Enjoyed almost every bit of my playthrough. Only the "Drive a total of 750 miles"-trophy was a little annoying as I had to grind the last 150 miles for a while. Had a great time, nonetheless

As soon as the Switch doesn't do gangbusters anymore, Nintendo will just come out and say: "Switch will now only be available for another 3 months. BUY ONE NOW. IT HAS LIMITED AVAILABILITY" (and a special offer for you: Buy another Switch in that time and you get OS based party chat included. ) (yes, I will never stop milking that joke. NEVER!) Great to see that all consoles do so well. Can't believe a few years ago there was talk about how console gaming is dead. Pretty sure the next-gen devices will do similarly well.

I've been always interested in Sayonara Wild Hearts but somehow I keep forgetting its existence Will definitely get in when it's on sale next time (and I remember that the game is out there...and if I got the money ). In other news: After I stopped playing Dragon Quest Heroes I was in the mood for a racing game. So I downloaded Burnout Paradise Remastered. Bought it for a tenner quite a while ago and played it for a few hours back then. This time I'm going for the Platinum because I love the game. It's a great arcade racer. Not the best in the Burnout series but still awesome. I appreciate that you don't have to get every collectible (jump, billboards, gates, etc.). Usually it's only half of each. The only thing you need to do 100% is: find all events and as far as I know you don't have to complete them all. Anyways, it's been a blast taking down cars, racing at high speed, doing awesome stunt combos. It's yet another game that puts me back to the past. I played the PS3 version sometime around 2009 or 2010 I think. That's about 10 years ago...10 freaking years.
