But the Vita, H-o-T, WHAT ABOUT THE VITA??? Pffff, after that confession of yours...you'll get nothing from me. NOTHING!
-
Not watching any new footage or reading any more news. Going dark for this one until release Happy to see that it's reviewing great, though. The DualSense seems to be quite impressive.

Sony did a great job. All that concern in the past few months for nothing Reviews pretty much all saying the same thing: PS5 is the real deal for next-gen. So happy I could get my pre-order in and actually afford it. Cannot wait

No folders, people. Looks like some pre-orders will have to be cancelled Edit: Then again: Source

Embargo's lifting early: Oh no...
-
Ohhhh...the tease is real Really hope the embargo lifting tomorrow rumour turns out to be true. I NEED IT!

First week of my lab-work is over (my supervisor is busy with a conference tomorrow and she has to show me how a procedure works so...no need for me to show up tomorrow ). The first thing I did last Tuesday: Make a mistake while preparing a solution. Rookie mistake. Wasn't a big deal as it was easy to rectify. Still...should've known better. But to be fair: The last time I was in a lab was 5 years ago. Really hope I didn't fuck up anything today 'cause I need to use the solutions/buffers next week. Anyways, people seem nice. Not very talkative but maybe that's because everyone is incredibly busy. Yup, I've enjoyed my time so far and I can't wait for next week when I do the first experiment

So...Trump losing today and tomorrow some sweet, sweet PS5 news? That would be great
-
There were rumours that Media Markt (one of the biggest electronics retailers) sent emails to customers telling them that the console will arrive at the 12th. Turns out: That wasn't true. Anyways, seems like tomorrow a big embargo will end and we'll see hands-on reports for the system. Would be great. Had a very stressful week so far and I could do with some relaxing news blasts tomorrow evening

*fingers crossed for Castle Crashers Remastered* *fingers crossed for Castle Crashers Remastered* Edit: FUCK

Trump will win. This is 2020. The Electoral College is so stupid.

That's the one When I saw my save file from 2016...such a different time back then. Best not to dwell on it.

Just finished the NG+ play through for Dragon Quest Heroes Man, that was unnecessary Monsters didn't become stronger so it was a breeze. I kinda wanted to go for the Platinum, but fuck me, I can't be arsed to do the grinding. It's just something with Musou games...the grind there isn't for me Anyways, too busy to start a new game now, so I'll just dabble with Spelunky 2 (still haven't won a run) and occasionally keep going with FFVI.

Weird, Firefox apparently change the cookies settings. After allowing cookies on the PSN store web page I was able to log in. On Brave, it doesn't work at all, even though cookies are allowed. Meh.
-
Anyone else got problems logging in to the PSN web store? I get an error message every time and I've tried all my browers
-
They should release this one over here, for crying out loud And they should remake Dragon Quest Monsters. And they should remake every Dragon Quest game ever made. And they should do it NOW.

Demo for Dragon Quest XI S is out on consoles. Edit: Played it for a few minutes and I gotta say: The downgrade isn't as bad as I expected. Especially given how people were saying that the Switch version looks like ass. It all comes down to one thing: The art style is so good, that it looks beautiful even with a little downgrade. Man, Dragon Quest just has that certain charm that in my opinion hasn't been matched, yet. I'm gonna buy the game, aren't I?

Remakes of Games That Deserve Another Attempt
drahkon replied to Cube's topic in General Gaming Discussion
It's a shame that it was never released in Germany And back in the day (2006 was its release) I wasn't able to import games easily. I may have to give the Dolphin emulator a go, but I doubt my PC can run it -

Still got my copy and I will play it again sometime The game needs a remake just for its OST alone. -
Fortnite's next-gen update will make use of the Activity Cards on PS5: Source We've seen the same for Destruction AllStars so I hope this will be the new standard with multiplayer games in the future. Cut down the time you spend in menus, increase the time you actually play the game

After a Covid-19 related delay, I'll finally start with lab work for my Bachelor's thesis tomorrow Was at the institute for Molecular Biotechnology today to get the "paper work" done. With lab work/research for the thesis, "actual" work so I can live and studies because I still have a few exams left it's probably going to be the busiest 4-5 months of my almost 31 years long life. Thank goodness next-gen starts in a few weeks so I have something to cool down with.

Well...I still don't have Salt and Sanctuary's Platinum (if I recall correctly). Guess I'll just prepare for the banning of drahkon (I think I have found the title of my autobiography). Looking at your October list and seeing Alien: Isolation reminds me: I bought that game ages ago and never played it. I really have no idea why I bought it, given that I hate horror games. While I don't hate horror movies, I can really do without them. However, I also bought the Alien movie collection on Blu-Ray back then. Haven't seen a single one of those and probably never will. Anyways, that does it for drahkon's list of shame (the spiritual successor to my autobiography - it'll be a novel about all my gaming missteps...and no, getting the Platinum for My Name is Mayo will not be mentioned in that book).

Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition (SNES) This is what I'm playing right now. Here's what the hack can do (depending on which update you choose). I think I chose the one with all the fixes/add-ons. Of course, I can't say how much that takes away/adds to the original experience, but having done a bit of reading it seems that people are quite fond of the hack. The GBA version is good, from what I've read. It does suffer from quite a bad soundtrack, though. That can be patched, however.
