  1. Not entirely sure what you mean by adjective? Hm, I had one right from the start. I guess the remake/remaster just has it unlocked? Found the Prince of Cannock. Are the names of your companions chosen at random? I had the chance to change them, but Paul seemed like a good name
  2. Sorry, was too lazy searching for this thread Thanks for the info Decided to start it up and literally two seconds in that Dragon Quest charm got me hooked Guess what I'm doing...you got it. Getting the grind on
  3. What a game. Sometimes developers try to mix formulas/gameplay of two different games and they can't make it work. But what the team has done with Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a masterclass and showcase of how it can work. Yakuza's craziness and Dragon Quest's mechanics are a perfect fit but what makes it so special is the care and attention to detail that's been put into this iteration. The battle system is incredible, the presentation is top-notch, Yakuza madness and quality all around, the story is one of the best I've ever experienced in a game (it's got twists and characters that leave you emotionally invested all the way to the end). It just works. 10/10, love it!
  4. It's also my mum's birthday that day. And one of my best friend's, as well. Anyways Played the original back in the PS3 days and I remember enjoying it quite a lot. It did get very repetitive, though, eventually.
  5. Well...Nanba still needs about 60 levels for the Foreman job. Pretty sure the HP is necessary. The other characters are at level 99 with 3 jobs and around level 30 with the others. Am I ready after I've finished the grind with Nanba? Who knows... My set-up will be: Hero Hitman Idol Homeless Guy Should be a pretty good mix of damage and healing. In other news: I think all Yakuza games are on sale in the PSN store right now, in case anybody wants to buy some
  6. It is not and it has never been on sale on PSN in the EU. My mate and I waited on a sale for 6 months...yesterday he got impatient and bought us each a copy So now that we have the game it'll be on sale pretty soon. That's how it works
  7. After another 2 hours of grindiness Ichiban now has three jobs at level 99. The others have two. Decided to take a break from the grind and tackle the first post-game dungeon. What can I say...I breezed through
  8. My best friend wanted to play a co-op game with me so he gifted me Castle Crashers Remastered. We started 4 hours ago and finished it just now So much fun. Brought me back to the good old times when I spent most of my gaming time with my Xbox 360 (the only Microsoft console I ever owned). That's now more than 10 years ago... Think we'll go for the Platinum, which shouldn't be too difficult as you don't have to finish the game in Insane Mode in this remaster. We'll still going to play it
  9. Spent some time grinding jobs and Charisma last Saturday. 48 hours in and I "just" need to finish the two post-game dungeons. Still need to do a lot more grinding for job exp, though.
  10. Well...it certainly makes me look like a fool
  11. Good to know Thanks. Still have to grind the charisma stat as well as do more Part-Time-Hero missions. Think I'll switch between each grind now and then
  12. Is there a better way in one of the two dungeons to grind exp as opposed to the vagabond in the sewers? And is there anything worthwhile to get in the first dungeon that could help with the second?
  13. Good to hear. It's definitely necessary. A game like this, with a "realistic" world and characters needs VA and animations that are spot on. Lackluster lipsyncing kinda works in games with art styles like Dragon Quest, but even there a little more effort would be nice Anyways, didn't have much time to grind today after finishing the story. Two characters are at level 99, the other two not far off. For the post-game dungeons I think I'll go with Ichiban as Hero, Nanban as Homeless Guy, ... Obviously those jobs I need to max out. First, I'll max out jobs that give HP, though. Gonna be a loooooong grind.
  14. Have you played with English VA? If so, is the facial animation as high quality as it is with Japanese VA? There is so much care put into it, it's incredible. And the voice actors are amazing. I don't speak Japanese but the combination of great performance and awesome facial animations manages to convey all emotions quite impressively.
  15. Played it already and got the Platinum which is why I don't wanna mess with the votes
  16. Credits are rolling. That is all... Edit: And now I've watched the post credit scenes. What a powerful conclusion...chapter 15 was sooooo good. As was the entire story. Very well written with characters that left me emotionally invested in them like only a few games have in the past.
  17. Maybe I'll unhate you after you've played it (unhate seems to actually be a real word...)
  18. I hate you. PLAY IT!
  19. Not watching it (I did take a peak for a few seconds, though). Want to go in with as little knowledge of the world/enemies/lore as possible. I'm stupidly excited for this one.
  20. Same here. Fell out of love with the "actual" Pokémon games ages ago, but New Pokémon Snap tickles my fancy I'll probably not know 80% of the Pokémon you can find, though Here's hoping this'll somehow turn the next "actual" game into an open world one
  21. That was the plan. With the roadmap being laid out this plan has been postponed to late 2021, though, as I wanted to wait for the next current-gen version. A friend of mine has been playing the PS4 Pro version since launch and he said it's been getting better with each patch and a couple of days ago he told me it's fine. He does have low standards, though, so...
  22. Oh well, guess I'll just have to kill a few more vagabonds after I'm done with the story then
  23. Well, I did massacre the enemies in the dungeon at level 67 But it's gonna be much more fun now Would you say I need to level up more jobs to get permanent stat bonuses? I have all jobs at level 15 for my main party and each main job now at around 50. Will this be enough for the true final dungeon?
  24. I don't see the issue. This would be hilarious/awesome in first person
