Price isn't really an issue since you're not using it that many days a year, and it isn't actually that expensive anyway. Its usefulness really does add up over the years - this year in particular there's a lot of days already it has come in handy. It's been a massive game changer for me, no longer do I worry about it being too hot in the house with this. Just make sure if you do get one that it's 9,000 BTU or higher or it won't really do much.

Have you considered getting a portable air con machine? One of the best purchase decisions I've ever made.
-
Yeah saw that this morning. Fucking hilarious really.
-
I've had at least 10 months free over the years from complaining (one month each time). It really is worth complaining whenever something goes wrong.
-
You're going to hate me but Yakuza Zero is on sale on PSN for £12. You could have bought two!
-
You're totally missing his joke by responding seriously, but that only adds to the humour. In relation to this decision, combat in Witcher 3 was shite. That's enough justification for them to try their hand at first person.

Is anyone else not the least bit fucked for this. It's weird, Melee is one of my favourite ever games ever but with every iteration I don't feel they've made a better game worthy of my time.
-
This slightly saddens me.

What an odd complaint; what, the world stays a permanent state of night in a 'true' Cyberpunk game/setting? This game looks amazing and is the one to watch for me now. Can't wait.

That's why I mentioned when Sony do it it's stupid too - citing a competitor doing it too doesn't make smoke and mirrors right. It's just extremely obvious and damning in this case with Microsoft as it's the vast majority of what they're showing. I would be annoyed if I had invested into Microsoft's console and ecosystem and this late into the generation they're developing/releasing so little in the way of new IP. Especially when they've cancelled games too - it's not really good enough to say it'll be better in 2 or 3 years! I want Microsoft to get their act together to serve as better competition to Sony as competition is always a good thing.

Well it's pretty misleading to show games they way they did and you then to have to figure out whether it's also coming to the platform you own. I'm not expecting them to actually say it's coming to PS4 but when they show the last slide with the details it could show the usual (small) symbols of supported platforms. If I was the third party dev who made the game, I'd want the public to know my game was coming to as many people as possible. I'm not sure when this leaving out of information started happening, but it's still pretty annoying. When you think about it, paying to announce third party games ahead of their competitor is a bit of a farce - surely this doesn't have any impact on sales in their favour? Same for Sony when they do it too. I can only think MS doing it here is because if they didn't, they wouldn't really have enough games to fill a presentation. Instead of people commenting on the lack of exclusive games they're instead chattering about the cool new games they've seen. Commenting on your last bit: This lineup is quite stale. Halo, Gears and Forza is what MS have been peddling for years now. We Happy Few is not an exclusive - also coming to PS4 and PC. Note that in your list there is not one exclusive which is a new game rather than a sequel. The gulf between Microsoft and PS4 at this stage in terms of existing/coming exclusive content is massive.
-
Microsoft clearly paid a lot of money to get to announce new games to make for an interesting show, covering up for the fact it has very little in the way of actual good exclusives coming. They were careful with their language and as ever, didn't say which platforms each multiplatform game was coming to.

This trailer looked really generic, didn't excite me at all.

As someone who likes the Souls series, get Nioh. It's really good.
-
I remembered as well when the difficulty options appeared that hard mode took out lock on. Yeah... don't pick hard mode.
-
It becomes much easier generally as you get the option to buy as many potions as you want and use them whenever. You can also equip abilities that give you health restoration on kills etc. At the beginning I remember that feeling, as it seemed like a game where you couldn't easily get healing items. Doesn't stay that way.

No because by remaster (as opposed to remake), I assume they are bringing the graphics forward with minor modifications to systems. The main problem I see is the environments and the copy and pasting of metro stations across the map. That's the kind of thing a remaster can't really solve. Great game in its day though, it was groundbreaking. Vegas is the better game though.
-
I think it would be strange for them to remaster Fallout 3, that game has not aged well at all.
-
Ah man, SNES games are great in their own right, even if you've not played them back in the day. Play some Chrono Trigger and you'll see the light.
-
The game looks visually very nice and I do like a good RPG, by but by god that American voiceover guy in those trailers sucks. Can you imagine if they advertised FF7 in this way, saying "here's Aeris, using her ability you can heal eeeeveryone in your team!" There's a big mismatch between the type of game it appears to be and the tone of these advertising materials.

I do wonder how Nintendo can thrive in the long term if they make everything from their past, or nearly everything, available. Netflix works with this model because they're constantly creating content and regularly acquiring different older stuff, so there's a reason to keep subscribing. I get the impression Nintendo will be including games in their Switch sub package but then periodically taking them away so you never have access to most of their stuff at any one time.

That's exactly what I said. You said if you don't like it (it being the subject in question), don't sign up. How exactly did I put words in your mouth? How is that also even remotely worth saying? If I don't like it, of course I won't sign up. Do you thrive off giving useless advice?
-
"If you don't like it, don't subscribe". Is that genuinely your response to valid criticism levelled against the service? I mean, it's pretty obvious I'm not going to subscribe, I even said as much. Are you just trying to shut down discussion?

MK8, near enough the same game, is free to play online on Wii U. Smash doesn't tend to evolve very much and you can play the last one free online on Wii U. Splatoon 2...well there's near enough that same thing with Splatoon, free to play online on Wii U. That's pretty much all the big stuff available now/soon. Not a compelling package, is it? There is also no value in the app voice chat as you can just use a free app for that (e.g. Skype) if you're going to go down the app route. So...you're paying for NES games that nobody wants, and cloud saves, which is a solution to a problem they created. What a crock of shit!

Jim makes a good point that all the good online experiences are pretty much the same as what we've already had for free on Wii U and former consoles (MK, Splatoon, Smash). I see no value in the service, it's purely a cash grab.
