Related to HDTVs, anyone heard of the freesat service? Basically, you buy a freesat HDTV box once and you get HDTV channels for free with no subscription, including BBC HD and apparently ITV HD coming soon, as well as other channels. There's not many of the freesat compatible boxes (HD) out yet though, I don't think.

I wouldn't recommend that since he asked for something not complex. Let's face it, the ending is complex, or at least tries to be. Like Shadow said: Fullmetal Alchemist (easily the best anime and manga ever produced to be honest) and to a lesser extent, although still great, Death Note. Then if you want an awesome anime that is continuously coming out, go for One Piece. Much, much better than Bleach and Naruto.

Official Nintendo Magazine Street Fighter II Sampler (U.K, 1992)
Sheikah replied to sagat's topic in General Chit Chat
Please elaborate. -
Some of you seem to be going to great lengths to make it look like you were in the vicinity of an exploding grenade... Never understood why myself. It's a bit of a turn-off for me.

The LG is better, so go for that.

I have the completed Pokemon base set, but not too bothered about that. Besides that I have two copies of Final Fantasy XI with two letters from Square Enix - one that came with the American version for free with a letter saying welcome to the European beta test, the second was a European copy that I won from a prize draw of some of the people in the beta. But FFXI sucks, so...not really all that much I have that's individual and I'm proud of.

IIRC, though, there wasn't much hidden of interest on the overworld in ToS. There seemed to be the odd treasure chest but nothing really worth going too far for. In games like Final Fantasy VIII though there were some hidden places on the map that really did make the overworld shine. With ToS it seemed a bit mundane, especially with monsters portrayed as black blobs which occasionally ran into you. I don't think it has even been done that well in Tales. As for catching monsters...sounds a bit Pokemon-esque or like the monster battling section in Dragon Quest VIII. It still sounds ok to me.
-
In fairness though, anyone who's played a few Tales games knows that the battle system is always really similar, unlike between some of the FF games. The overworld is a bit of a past relic really- even FF has done away with it. Sheena was ugly to begin with, no harm there.

From what I've seen it seems to be getting a lot of stick when it doesn't look half bad. I've seen people complaining about the graphics but they seem pretty good to me.

Absolutely, it's about £42.50 in USA for this limited edition. People buying it need to remember that, if you all buy it, then mission accomplished for these dickheads selling it for twice the price to extort people in the UK yet again. Let's face it - the figurine will probably be really crappy, the 'how we made the game' disc is usually not worth watching, and the OST you'd probably never buy anyway. Well, you might, but it's not worth the extra cost.
-
They should have put Yoshi Circuit in again from the GCN. That's the best track ever.
-
80 POUNDS?!! Is the packaging made of pure owl? Why does that bit of extra stuff cost the price of the game and then some?! Imagine if you told Americans the special edition is costing us $160. They would probably urinate themselves with laughter. Edit: Just googled, in America it's $85. Nice 1:1 conversion ratio they're doing there. I urge everyone not to buy this, don't play into the hands of swindlers.

That's an old bump, but for me it would have to be Chrono Trigger. Other good SNES games are leagues behind it...

Toshiba are good too. Samsung TVs are both great and look great though. Panasonic and Sony are the elites. Basically- check the contrast ratio, general look of the TV (whether you like it), stick within generally well known brands you and you'll get something you like, hopefully.
-
If that's the exact same TV that you saw on sale then definitely go for it. That's a very good price.

A tip from what I did a while back when I got my TV: Find the TV you want on http://www.empiredirect.co.uk then go to John Lewis' website. John Lewis will pricematch any TV on this site (because empiredirect has actual stores as opposed to just websites on their own, which they don't pricematch against). Of course it has to be the same model, but if there's a TV you can see on empiredirect that you like, it will most likely be cheaper than John Lewis yet John Lewis will charge you the same price if you inform them. But the best bit is, they'll give you 5 years warranty on your TV, which is great.

Yep, that's how I got into his songs. I noticed he had another song in the show (waiting for my real life to begin) but the cast of scrubs sang it. He's got some great songs, so I'm definitely going to buy one of his albums.

Why do they call it desperate housewives? This, along with the show loose women, conjures thoughts in my head that I want to disappear.

What's wrong with a regular 5-seater car? When people should be driving legally within the speed limit, there shouldn't be a need for a tank of a car. If people drive like nutcases I think you'll be killed anyway, no matter what the car.

It can be very hard to Pay 'n Spray on a greater number of stars...police follow you so adamantly that they often see you go into the place, so it doesn't work. A good way is to walk along the subway tracks, or to get a train.

The fact that you see flaws left, right and center with Conservatives, yet fail to care about Labour's tripling of University fees. This leaves people who wanted to better themselves with an increased, greater amount of debt. But given you missed the introduction of the top-up fees, it seems all but natural you completely failed to identify this problem with Labour. Blah blah blah, Conservatives this, Conservatives that.
-
Which means you narrowly missed the tripled yearly University fees. It's funny how people don't give a shit about what doesn't affect them.
-
What, they'd just say no more benefits to people not working? As if.
-
But you said you are morally opposed to everything they do. To say that about everything they do (e.g. backing banning bottled water for environmental reasons, proposing green taxes etc) is ridiculous. Are you morally against conserving the environment as well as some other ideas which definitely seem sensible? Do your morals instead agree with tripling the cost of University fees? You could say that Conservatives are for silverspooned bints, I could say Labour are for lazy poor people. Now, where do silly generalisations like that get us?
