It's clearly something that happens once you get to Union command level. Ed Mercer does this weird lip pursing thing when he's thinking as well. Maybe it gives them a commanding presence or something.

Started binge-ing Umbrella Academy Season 3 the other night. It's started off really well. This might be my favourite scene from a TV show in the last 5 years:

Yeah the writing has been top notch. It's definitely one of the best written shows on at the moment. The comparison between this and the Star Wars and Marvel shows is night and day.

Episode 5 is much slower, but I really enjoyed it. I love how they deal with some really heavy topics - it's so well written! They also have a very bizarre song choice near the end of the episode that I think H-o-T will enjoy.

This season just keeps getting better and better. The first episode is a bit dull. i understand why they had to go with it as a season opener, but it was a real turn-off. Episode 2 felt like a real classic Star Trek episode, was pretty good, but nothing special. Episode 3 was fantastic. Twists and turns, and no idea what was going on until the end. Episode 4 was excellent. Not quite as good as 3, but still fun. There's definitely a reduction in the amount of humour overall though. Probably isn't coming back; it seems like they want it to have a more serious tone, which is ok, but I do miss the early S1 jokes.

Good to hear there are some other wusses out there. I might put this game on my list then. Maybe get it for Christmas. Hopefully the PS4 version will get very cheap now there's a new version!

I've always wondered about trying this game, but I've been put off by the zombies and horror aspect of it. How scary, creepy would you say it is? Is it easy to ignore that and just enjoy the story?

Fascinating deep dive into what they're working on over at Meta. Surprising that they were happy to show it all off tbh. Some of the technology they're developing looks incredible - proper space age stuff. Like the flat variofocal lens thingy looks like something they'd get in a Marvel film and handwave it away with a term like nano-tech. They stress many times that they don't expect many of these features to make it to consumer products any time soon, but it does make the future of VR look very exciting indeed.

Without Ferguson though.

Agreed, Peacemaker was fantastic. The way James Gunn pairs music to anything he makes is really great. I've watched the first 5 episodes of The Boys on Amazon Prime, and it's really good. Season 3 might even be better than the first two, but i'll wait and see how it ends.

Watched the 2nd season of Mob Psycho 100. It was ok. Other than his master and a couple of others, most of the characters are pretty forgettable and pointless. The final 'battle was pretty cool, although they seemed to have broken/forgotten about the whole 100% psychic brain power mechanic, so maybe they'll rename the show for season 3?

Second episode of Ms Marvel was better than the first, but it's still a bit awkward and cheesy. It feels like watching Clarissa Explains It All, or Tracey Beaker, especially when Kamala is flirting with Kamran. I kept expecting her to do a turn to camera and put her fist in her mouth.
