I'm loving it. It's slower than the other MCU TV shows, but it feels more like a TV show than a chopped up film, and while it seems to be taking a while to get where it intends to go, it isn't like the others that had to rush to build up all this plot, leading to a load of hashed plot devices which made no sense.

I reckon it's a Pokemon that has evolved to have a diglett looking lure on the end of its tail, and the rest of the huge pokemon is hidden beneath the sand, ready to explode out and attack.

I honestly don't know why they bother making games. They should just recreate memes 24/7.

I remember my sister and I struggled for years to beat this game: Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow We got as far as a level where the lava keeps on rising, and you have to swing up and out of the volcano before the time runs out, but could never get past it, and eventually concluded that it was impossible. I always wonder whether I would be able to beat the game now, or if it was actually as bullshit as I remember. I know there was some crappy hitbox detection when using your staff to lock onto special nodes and use them to swing. It would always fail to register when the staff blatantly was in the right place...

I think the reason why I like The Mandolorian more than the other recent Star Wars offerings, is that it's not evil Empire vs plucky rebels over and over again. Trailer looks good.

What is he on about? I would have thought that 3 years is very generous considering they are under no obligation to let Devs they own develop games for the opposition. Won't Sony think of the impact on Xbox gamers not being able to play the new Spider-Man!

I went to watch the Superbowl a couple of times at uni. They had a big screen where you could watch it at the Student Union. It was fun for a bit, but it just went on and on. I know the time difference is at fault, but the game went on until 2 or 3 in the morning, and there is just so much waiting around watching nothing. You see people joking all the time about how Americans want to change football (soccer) to make it more exciting for an American audience, but some of their sports are just so drawn out and boring (American football, baseball, highway car chases).

They are short. Only half an hour compared to the usual 40-45 minutes. EDIT: Apparently this show is 9 episodes long, rather than 6, so that explains the shorter episode lengths.

The fuck? How can they just cancel a promised game feature like that? Are there grounds for refunds do you think?

Only just got around to watching this trailer. Wasn't that excited about this before, but that looks pretty good - the cast looks incredible (Patrick from Coupling?!).

I feel like these need a side-by-side of the actual moves, because i have no idea what it's supposed to look like - it just looks broken.

My favourite one of these is that for the original Half Life, they wanted the player to enter a train at the beginning, but they didn't have a system for modelling vehicle physics and movement, so they just made the train carriage into a hat and made an NPC wear it. The NPC then just slid along beneath the track wearing his train hat, and the player got to ride the train.

Yeah that was my other issue with NTTD. My wife asked before it started if she needed to know anything from the previous bond films, and i told her that i couldn't remember much of what happened in them, but that Bond films tended to stand alone. 20 minutes in and she was already asking who Vespa was, how did she die, who Madeleine was, who Blofeld was, who Felix was etc. I couldn't remember!
