Happenstance

Ooof. You ever go into a meeting and realise immediately that you are in over your head? I may still be able to do the job and may still get asked but it was obvious immediately that my working knowledge of databases and how I use our current school's one is tiny in comparison to this other bigger school and the amount of coding I'd need to know. My problem is that apart from my A levels from college a lot of my IT knowledge is just self taught. We'll see though. Hopefully it's not nearly as complicated as they were making it out to be and I actually do know what I'm doing, even if I just do it a different way.

They've said they're just rebalancing the galactic readiness stuff so it can be done through the single player. Apparenty it will be easier if you play all 3 games to get the proper ending but it will still be possible if you just played 3, it'd just require more work.

Been trying to decide which version to get first (as I’ll have to get both!). Was a toss up between 4k on PS5 and 21:9 on PC but I think I’ll get PS5 to play it first then PC down the line when it’s discounted.

I’m not sure what I think about it at all. Everything currently feels like it’s trying way too hard to be weird.

Maybe you could just accept that the series isn't for you anymore and move on?

I’ve grown to appreciate Janeway a lot more over the years. She was definitely one of the more flawed captains in Star Trek when it came to single mindedness, reckless actions and holding grudges. Made her a lot more interesting.

I always feel like I should have more plants but every time I’ve tried I forgot about them and they died.

My point was more that you can get the equivalent pc laptop to a Mac for a cheaper price, not to get a less powerful laptop for cheaper. I don’t think the Apple tax is worth it.

Macs may be the best out there for creative work but I definitely don’t think they offer enough that a cheaper Windows laptop wouldn’t easily be worth it if you wanted to save money.

I played the originals and I think 2 was my favourite as well but I was never a massive fan. Even back then the controls were just too imprecise for me.

Yep, the first one is still easily my favourite. Rise less so but still enjoyable but I’m just finding this meh. I’m not sure even my investment in this version of Lara will keep me playing at this point.

Been playing this recently as I got it free with PS+. So far I think the first two games are much better and this has way too many underwater sections, none of which are fun. I’m almost at the point where I’m just gonna stop playing and move onto another game because I don’t want to deal with them anymore.

So because our school has joined into a group with two other schools some of the jobs are being shuffled around a bit. At the moment I am the MIS coordinator for one school but it looking like as the other schools don't have one that I'm gonna be made into the MIS Overlord (my choice for a new name badge title) for the three schools which will definitely come with the hours bump I've been angling for and hopefully a pay rise. Will be nice to finally get back on track job-wise.

Yeah I finished watching them the other day. I’d seen the majority before but it was good to go over it again. Just kind of a nice love letter to all of Star Trek.

Quite a few on there I’ll be interested in going back and watching.

I bought all The Witcher books a year or so ago but still haven't made it through The Last Wish. I'm not much of a fantasy guy and even though I love the games and the tv series I still really struggle with the books.

If it's just photo editing you are looking for then a mac probably would be your best bet. I'm more of a Windows guy though so I feel a bit dirty saying that I've got the 2020 Razer Blade 15 at the moment which I love. Nice and powerful for any editing I need to do, video or photo and then I'm running games at high to max settings. Surprised how good the temps are for it as well.

You need to move onto the mmos then next! I highly recommend XIV. I’ve pretty much solo’d it for everything other than the dungeons which party you up well anyway.

Yeah that’s why I’m not particularly bothered. It was a really good deal in the PSN sale so I haven’t lost out on much.

Should do yeah. It lists PS4 and PS5 in the image and if it’s the Ultimate Edition then it should just allow the new version when it comes out.
