I need to try and get back to FFXIV today I think. I completed A Realm Reborn’s main story last week and fell away a bit as I started the post game content. I need to make a push to start the first expansion as I think that’s where the real top quality stories start.

It's called a Pixoo Max from Divoom. This is the 32x32 pixel version but they also sell 16x16 versions. It lets you upload things you have created yourself or from a big community of people who make images for it. It's also got built in stuff like clocks etc. Got a feeling I'm gonna be spending the next few days going through the app and favouriting everything I want to upload! As you can see from mine the app also lets you upload gifs or static images and it will convert them into pixel art for you. Another example of one of mine

Anyone know any good top loading usb hubs? Looking to attach one to the desk but so many these days are those short wire laptop ones with the ports on the sides.

I think FFII, XI and XII are probably the only FF games I've never actually played. Barely completed any of them of course but I've at least put them on.

Added some back lighting to the desk as I do like it round my tv. Had to rearrange some stuff though as I was reading yesterday that some Razer laptop screens start to get damaged if you use them for too long while closed. Shame I lost the extra space and more minimalist look but a second screen is always helpful. Looking forward to getting my soundbar so I can get rid of those awful speakers where the wires don't reach long enough to get one the other side of the desk. Also left some proof in there that I actually do sit down just for bob.

One thing I need to get out of the habit of though now is shutting down the laptop fully. Did it last night so this morning I had to take it out of the stand to turn it on. Just looking into setting up Wake On LAN at the moment so I can have my Echo turn it on instead.

The angle isn't actually that bad. I think I probably got used to it from work where I have a curved desk and two monitors. The monitor is an Electriq (not sure on the model number) but it basically gets rebranded in every country. Even with the monitor at that angle there’s plenty of room to open those drawers, bit of a trick of the camera I think. The monitor gets swivelled depending on my mood. It’s back in the centre at the moment. It was set to that angle initially because I used to have the laptop on a different stand so it was open and acting as a second monitor. Kind of miss having that but it did take up more space on the desk. I’m swapping out the speakers for a pc soundbar so it’s easier to position for a setup that’s moving a lot. Other than that I think I just need to get a new webcam and then it’s done. Not sure to be honest, I’ll look into it. I managed to find the pad with went with my Xbox One that I packed away just last week after hours of searching so at least have something to use for the moment.

Looks sweet. Do you kneel at the desk or sort of crouch down? It’s a standing desk, I’m just really short.

Put the final touches on the new desk today with monitor arm and vertical laptop stand. Pretty happy with it.

Been a while since I looked into Switch stuff, can you use a cable to connect it directly to the TV without a dock?

Fuck. The Xbox One pad I bought for my PC has died. Only bought the bloody thing last year.
