Thing is though theres nothing that says the Armour would have had to be used past the end of Voyager. It was installed with the help of Admiral Janeway so it could easily be explained away that they just couldnt get it working again on other ships or any other number of reasons. If we have to stick with the alternate universe for the movies then id much rather have the proper trek universe for any future tv shows. Its easy enough for them to say that it still exists but id rather see it in the form of a new tv show. Unfortunately two different universes running at the same time would be confusing for some people, mostly those new to trek that started watching because of the new movie.

TNG didnt have a terrible ending. Its thought of as one of the best along with DS9s EDIT: Also, as much as I would like there to be another series set in the real Trek universe after Voyager I cant see it happening. If there is another series I expect it will be in the alternate movie universe.

I wasnt a big fan of the Bajorans but that was mainly my own dislike of religion and not because they werent good characters (except for Kira, I got bored pretty quickly in those early seasons of the constant reminders that she grew up fighting the Cardassians). Id love to have seen what the show would have been like if Ro Laren had been on it as originally planned as well. As for Kai Winn, pure evil! She is easily one of the best villains in all of Trek just everytime she opened her mouth you wanted to ring her neck. Dukat as well was another brilliant one. Infact DS9 had some brilliant ones, Weyoun as well was a great bad guy.

I think its because of all the people downloading because of the change to F2P. Mine started at my top download speed yesterday morning but dropped after about an hour to around 50kb. Took me a while to download it all.

Just thought id check if anyone else was planning on starting a character on Star Trek Online now that as of today (17/01....gett it????) its gone free to play. I started mine earlier and im quite enjoying it so far. Be nice if any other trek fans from here were to join up so we could have our own NE fleet :p

Looking through their back catalogue they dont look like a company I will particularly miss http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/company/74385.html -
Just watched my blu ray copy, I really enjoyed it. Reading through this thread I agree with most peoples complaints about Finn throughout the movie, I was thinking the same thing while watching it.

Did any of you guys ever read this argument between JMS and Steve Wacker that happened last month? I only heard about it today but the post from Mark Waid at the end is just amazing. http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/12/10/fanboy-rampage-jms-vs-steve-wacker/

Congratulations Eenuh! I really should sort out learning to drive, being stranded in this village sucks.

I never really thought the Ori storyline worked too well. The show was still enjoyable and I really liked Vala and Daniel but they'd still rate pretty low for me compared to other seasons.

I played the demo last year and quite liked it. Figured id wait a while and get it when its cheap and I dont have so many games that need playing. Got quite a big PC backlog at the moment after the Steam sale. -
The end of season one starts to get pretty good, season two is better but I think season three onwards is just where it becomes excellent.

Fahrenheit definitely was good but the story just took such a weird turn in that game! Undead lovin and all.

I really liked Heavy Rain. The story wasnt great, it had plot holes and the voice acting was terrible (yet awesome at the same time....."Jason!") but the entire thing just felt like one big experience I hadnt had before and id love for them to make another game like it.

Just finished watching Summer Wars on Netflix. I quite enjoyed it, nice little movie mixing the high tech and the traditional Japanese stuff. Got a bit overdramatic near the end but I can live with that. -
My interest in games has never been the difficulty but the experience while playing it so I have no problem with RPGs being easy, I tend to play them for the stories. I rarely play through a game again on a harder difficulty unless it provides something new. A bit like in Batman: Arkham Asylum when it made me actually think before jumping into a fight and work out tactics first.

Joe Malozzi did post some information about the SGA movie on his blog a few months ago, I'll try and find it later when I'm on my PC but the main thing was the return of Atlantis to Pegasus because of some program set to blow the city up if they don't go back (sounded like a poor premise to me)
