Happenstance

Decided to finally go back to FFXV after I stalled out at launch. Bought the Windows Edition this time so I can get the better graphics, all the dlc additions and also access to the mod support.

I guess it's also the worry that I'm already in this gaming slump at the moment that if I buy the games and I just burn out as I'm doing with everything at the moment then I'll never go back to them at all. I'll buy Nonary Games for now and see how I do. That way I'll at least have the first two games.

Trying to decide whether or not to buy the Zero Escape games while they are on sale on PSN at the moment. I've always been interested in them and the story but I'm not much of a puzzle guy so don't want to get stuck doing all of that and then just give up out of frustration or boredom.

Do any of you guys pay for a VPN? Thinking about starting to pay for a subscription for one for Netflix stuff but also I guess it's recommended more and more these days for security. Looking into it I may go with ExpressVPN which seems to be well thought of.

That's right, I'm bringing this thread back! We're gonna get the General section of NE back to it's former greatness! Train to Busan Korean zombie movie that I just finished watching on Amazon Prime. Good movie. Setting the majority of it on a train gave it a very cramped feeling which added to the tension of all the zombie moments. Some great characters as well. Definitely worth watching. I did have to laugh though at seeing the kid open her present and disappointingly look down to see its a Wii

Bought the PC version of this today and I'm really enjoying it. Nice to get back some some Trials gaming. I'm not a massive fan of the layout of the game, especially if you have done a track already or not but the tracks themselves are still great. Lootboxes are present but I'm getting them nice and quickly through gameplay so no real complaints there either. I hear the game becomes a bit more of a grind later but for now its a lot of fun.

It's been a while since I've had a proper look at Pokemon designs. Did the faces/eyes etc always look so flat?

I feel like its kind of been hanging over the entire movie for me. Such a shame as well as despite her more destructive personal tendencies I always did like Paige.

I played through them recently on PS3 and they don't play too badly.

I was looking at my trade collection over the weekend, sitting in a box in my wardrobe all sad. I really do miss collecting physical comics I need a full room converted with shelving on every wall so I can display them again! Took advantage of one of the latest Comixology sales the other day and bought: Amazing Spider-Man Epic Collection: Spider-Man No More Amazing Spider-Man Epic Collection: Venom X-Men Epic Collection: Lonely are the Hunted X-Men Epic Collection: The Gift Immortal Hulk Vol 1: Or Is He Both? I didn't think I would like the way they were doing these Epic Collection books at first, releasing everything out of order but I found it's actually quite nice to jump into random stories. I had bought the Essential collections before but always struggled with having to go through early writing styles early on so it's good to be able to bounce between decades.

Very similar to PS3-PS4. Sony are great at supporting their consoles right up until the end.

I expect a lot of people are holding off on buying Anthem until later in it's life. I know I'm waiting until it has it's "Taken King" moment.

I've started watching Terrace House this weekend. Kind of like Japanese big brother I guess with 6 people living in a house together but mostly just more real. I don't tend to like reality shows but maybe it's the combination of it being Japanese so I always like watching their culture and the fact that it's nothing like western reality shows so as I mentioned, it's a lot more real and the go to work during the day etc that I'm really enjoying it.

Liverpool were embarrassingly toothless during that match 😡

Yeah I feel like Liverpool are playing well but not necessarily feeling like scoring. We'll see how the second half goes.
