  1. Why wouldn't it? The technology is old enough that it could be sold at a profit at a low price. Advancing is completely required anyways. It would cost more to keep making a large 65nm chip than to just go to the new process of 45nm. It would cost time and money to make the old version go from 65-45, and that time and money could just as easily be spent on a new chip that's 45nm. They have more reasons to upgrade than just graphics. Which if marketed properly, a graphical upgrade could be used to pull in the casual crowd anyways.
  2. Fallout 3 really dropped the ball on exploring cities, even oblivion did a better job despite the cities basically being clones. New Vegas however is presented as if it's a fully functional city, lighted skyscrapers and many modern looking buildings. I doubt sewers will be the main transport from building to building. Obsidian is a great developer with a pedigree just as good as Bethesda. Don't count on the polish. Black Isle games use to release quite buggy, and Obsidian games have done the same. NWN2 was nearly unplayable at launch before the UI was patched.
  3. It's exactly like the Fallout 3 trailer actually. Which in itself is a little sad. Observant veterans of the series however should recognize the guy next to the flag. North California Republic (NCR), born out of Shady Sands/Vault 15 and basically went about taking over and policing California. They went as far as attacking other cities(Vault City/Vault 8 specifically) to get them to join the republic for "protection" (which is a sidequest you can solve). Seems after the Vault Dwellers Descendant removed the Enclave Californian presence the NCR kept on expanding into Nevada. Could make for a much more interesting game than Fallout 3, Reno was one of the most fleshed out places of Fallout 2 with all the quests between the 4 families controlling the city. I can see more of the same in New Vegas, especially with the added bonus of Obsidian having a fair few former Black Isle employees. I am wondering though, if you'll be a Vault Dweller or not. It would make the most sense for keeping with series tradition plus it would give the best position of working with the City and the NCR, but I can't help shake a niggling feeling that we may be NCR.
  4. To what you asked, no. To what you probably meant to ask yes. Developers can't work on the next console until it's nearing final stages, and they're getting ready to not work on current consoles. Engineers (I'm guessing what you meant) are pretty much always working on designing the hardware of what will be released next since it takes such a long time.

    Sadness

I figured it out!!! They hyped up the gullible(pretty much everyone in the start) for what could have been an awesome game. Little did we know, there was never any plans for Sadness beyond the sadness we feel at such a game not coming to fruition. It was a game alright, but their game and the goal? Leaving us in anguish. It's a lot like To the Pain.
  6. I'm going to go with the simplest explanation. Ashley borked google.
  7. Damn talented child, I don't think I could manage to shoop something that well. Then again I'm terrible and have had no (un)formal lessons with image editing.
  8. Wait....you mean there is a minimum post count to post links? mah bad.
  9. I think it's perfectly fine if you post links that just require clicking. http://www.hudson.co.jp/kagenotou/ Thanks for the link though, it was a short demo but interesting
  10. I actually get online using my laptops connection. You will need: Crossover cable(looks like Ethernet but isn't) or 2x Ethernet Cables and Router/Network Hub. If you have a crossover cable simply plug one end into each machine go into your network connections on the laptop select both the wireless and the lan connections then right click Bridge Connections. Works like a charm other than a small issue of sometimes not getting an IP address from my router, I just have to either turn it on and off or I can disable and re-enable DHCP. The other method is basically the same except you need the 360 going into a router/hub that the laptop is going into and then bridge the connections the same way. You may run into problems using a router instead of a hub, I'm not really sure. I've done it both ways, and while not as simple or desirable as 360+router, it's certainly much better than shelling out for the adapter and works just fine. Edit: If you're braver than me you could try and make your own crossover cable. http://www.littlewhitedog.com/content-8.html
  11. My copy came yesterday, but I haven't gotten a chance to play yet.
  12. It's more like a re-imagining.

    Vanquish

Reminds me more of Mass Effect than Halo, but yea it certainly has that vibe.
  14. Hells yea, I've been waiting to hear what Monolith was up to, and that looks like an epic battle. Hypemachine GO!
  15. I preordered on Amazon but it's not expected to arrive until Feb 3rd. Already has shipped though.
  16. I'd be more worried about a dodgy battery exploding.

    Halo: Reach

It's a squad of Spartan III's cheaper and not as good as a Spartan II, but still better than marines.
  18. I think he already has an OS. His current PC is Vista, but it's also a socket 939 so I'd venture the guess that he bought it. Although, pitching some money towards 64bit Win7 isn't a bad idea.
  19. Let off the clutch slower/give it more gas.
  20. A new PC is about the only option, upgrading what you have practically would be a new build as just about everything would need to be upgraded. http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/ Cyberpower isn't a bad place to start looking at custom built machines. You could also peek around on scan or ebuyer and see what sorts they have. If you see something and are unsure, just ask.
  21. Omg, like really? For reals?

    Halo: Reach

These are also on Bungies site now. Looks great.
  23. The ones where people will update about eating something they are currently eating.
  24. No like social networking sites.
  25. I didn't say I didn't like them. They are fun they add replay and make nice challenges, but they are unneeded. Scoring them is even more unneeded, look at Steam achievements they just list what you managed to acomplish without attributing some sort of rank.
