  1. I've always been a Nintendo gamer for as long as i can remember. I've owned a NES, N64, Gamecube, Wii and WiiU in the home console market, and i've owned a Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Advance, DS and 3DS in terms of the handheld market. Generally, Nintendo have kept my appetite for gaming going pretty healthily over the years. I've played some fantastic games, and have great memories. However, it was around the time of the Wii that i ventured into unknown territory with a purchase of an Xbox 360. The Wii itself, a great machine. But it was the motion controls that started to put me off Nintendo, which so happened to help Nintendo sell Wii's by the bucket load. Don't get me wrong, i enjoyed playing on the Wii. But this was (at the time) the first Nintendo console since i was younger, where i didn't really buy any games for it. I did play both the Galaxy games, Smash and Mario Kart. But that was about it, i mainly used the Wii to play Gamecube and Virtual Console titles when i went on it. I felt that there were a few gems out there for the Wii, but after going through the Gamecube era with many games being cancelled and the Wii having a lot of party-based games, i didn't want to go through that again. Hence a 360 purchase to fill that void, which i don't regret one bit. And now, looking back at it. I don't regret buying a 360 to fill in that gaming void i felt i was having. Played so many games, i can't list them all. It also helped me decide on combo'ng a One/PS4 with a WiiU. Again, something i don't regret doing. As well as playing all the great Nintendo games, i can also play the likes of Witcher 3, Arkham Knight and many Indie-based titles which i could/would have missed out on.
  2. As long as they annouce the console first and what it can do BEFORE showing off the controller (which i hope won't be another gimmick-based one) then i'll be happy enough.
  3. Change report was a bit meh this season, not many visable changes at all. I'd like to enter the cup though as always though.
  4. Was not expecting Arnie to be there, didn't know he was a fan of F1. Still always nice to see him around, more so conducting the post-race interviews. Here's hoping Manor actually get the cars to start for Malaysia in 2 weeks time, maybe on the grid as well. All them retirements, felt sorry for Lotus losing both drivers in that space of time. Short outing, but hey ho. If what i was hearing is correct, if McLaren can buckle down reliability and get that car to full speed, boy they could challenge Mercedes this year. Same as Ferrari really. Bit of a meh race, but it does seem that way for the 1st race of the season. Bring on Malaysia in 2 weeks.
  5. It's not overly important for me to complete games 100%, i did quite a few on the X360 and have done on various other games over the years. But these days, it doesn't bother me to not get everything. With trophies/achievements, if i complete the game and have a few left to get, then i go for it. Otherwise i don't tend to, and it doesn't bother me for not going that extra.
  6. Was kind of hoping Manor would have pulled in Chilton as a driver, guess not. Still, some impressive line-up none the less. Nice to see 20 drivers on the grid this season. Because Alonso won't be racing in Australia, it's a repeat of the 2013/14 season with Kevin Magnussen sitting in with Jenson Button. Should be an interesting season, i can see Ricciardo being a formidable force this season.
  7. I'm out, missed my connection home by seconds. Sorry about that.
  8. True, i was thinking in terms of hypped games being good (Sunset) and bad (Ryse) Here's hoping it's a great game none the less, looking forward to it.
  9. Bloodborne could be Sony's Sunset Overdrive, they've had the Ryse (in The Order). Bring on the 27th!!.
  10. I believe they film the studio stuff on a Tuesday/Wednesday, but the stuff that doesn't involve the studio is done weeks, if not months ago. Cancelling the rest of Top Gear is a punishment for the viewers, no idea why they did it.
  11. It's known that if Clarkson were to leave/get fired that May and Hammond would follow, and after reading the comments on various sites, some people are threatening to cancel their TV license if Clarkson goes. To be fair, they can watch BBC programming on various on-demand services, including iPlayer without the need of a license. Just as long as you don't watch it whilst it's being broadcast, should be ok. Honestly, i have no idea what's going on. I've heard mixed thoughts from various people, some saying he actually hit the producer whilst others are saying he threw food at them. Others saying he attempted to hit them, but who knows what's going on. Bit miffed that Top Gear isn't on this weekend, but seeing as May and Hammond won't do the show without Clarkson probably refused to carry on, hence the "postponment". Ah well, if he goes then Sky and/or ITV can snap them up and do a show there. BBC know Top Gear makes them a lot of money, so they'll be stupid if they sacked Clarkson because they'll lose so much money.
  12. Yup, free stuff ftw. Seeing how The Order was judged as a 5 hour game, i'm hoping that Bloodborne doesn't fall into this category.
  13. Still have the 2nd to play, which reminds me i must get back into playing it.
  14. I'm in this week.
  15. Started playing Rayman Legends. Had it free after that Ubi cock-up with Unity, not a bad platformer so far. It's early days yet, but it's looking promising.
  16. I hardly visit the front page, got the forums bookmarked. Just trying it now, seems ok for me at the moment.
  17. Finished The Order 1886 earlier. Overall, not a bad game. A few flaws, but it's got promise. Probably will either move onto Rayman: Legends or Abe's Odyssey next
  18. And that's The Order completed. No idea what the reviewers were talking about, it's quite a good game. Graphically, it looks great. Great soundtrack to it as well. Length-wise, it took me 8 1/2 hours over 3 sessions to do it. Not a long game, but certainly was worth playing for the experience. Apart from that issue on length, i did notice a few more issues. Same as HoT, the tutorial text certainly didn't want to be changed. It cut 1/2 the wording off the screen sometimes, which i didn't like. They left no option to change the aspect ratio, which i didn't like. I didn't like a few other things as well, including the cover and stealth systems. Both needed more time to tighten up i thought, there were at times some frustrating moments but it was manageable. Hopefully RaD get a chance to make a sequel, but who knows. It ended suddenly, but left it open for a sequel. I'd give it a solid 7.5 out of 10. Due to it's length, i'd wait for it to drop in price before buying.
  19. Na, didn't get it myself. Probably get it on Monday/Tuesday.
  20. I held off after hearing how short it was and seeing as it is only the intro part of the game, didn't want to play it and wait a long time for the rest of the game to arrive.
  21. That is messed up, i can understand them cancelling 1 of the two Amiibo's but all of them. That's not on at all, and i do wonder what is going on with Nintendo. It's like they are focussing on the handheld market and have a bunch of monkeys running the rest of the company.
  22. Pre-ordered via Shopto. Shall buy Ground Zero's a week or so before release and finally play that in August.
  23. Streets of Rage 2, yes please. Loved that game.
  24. Ditto, just ordered one myself.
