Been playing this for a good few hours now and am up to the 6th stage, having such a great time playing this game. I love the effect when you activate those switches that restores all the colour to a certain area, the sound that thing makes through my surround system is immense, crazy amount of bass on it shakes the whole damn house! Tricky isn't it? As you continually seem to lose hight. Definitely a worthwhile move though were possible as your points multiply with every successful coat of paint in the combo. :awesome:The ability to jump between buildings with Z targeting makes up for the difficult wall jumping I reckon.

Got mine today too, managed to get a quick game in this morning and yeah from what I played I definitely agree with you H-o-T, it's pure quality. After only a few minutes with this game you can tell just how much effort has gone in to making it, the controls, the visuals, the music (my God the music! ), the overall style of the game has been so well crafted. Definitely right up there with Eledees and Zack&Wiki for the best third party Wii title. So yeah, can't wait to sit down and really get in to it later. And I'd seriously recommend everyone to pick this game up and show some support to a truly deserving third party dev on Wii. Plus it's still only £18 on Play.com which is a proper bargain!
  3. Wow, that's pretty crazy. Was WHSmiths one of those 8? If I recall correctly they're sometimes quite good for hard to find / "sold out" games. Anyway, good luck with the search man.
  4. That's interesting about the classic control option, really wasn't expecting that. Liking the sound of improved edit mode though.
  5. ¡Feliz cumpleaños amigo! : peace: Hmm... Interesting.

Yeah mine is on the way too! This is why I don't use Play.com for new releases though. (apart from situations like this, when the price is right ) I mean, shipping on the release date! What's that all about!? Monday's a possibility, Tuesday or Wednesday are probably more realistic though. Oh well... back to Wario & Mega Man 9.
  7. Fantastic news that we'll be getting the game this year and so close to the JPN/US versions. It'll be the first AC game that I don't import then!

Same for me. Actually quite happy about that though, more uninterrupted Wario Land time!
  9. Couldn't agree more, up to the 4th stage of world 2 at the moment and have enjoyed every minute of it so far. I also love the treasure hunting / speed running / mission aspect, makes re-playing stages genuinely satisfying. Game play and stage design are spot-on, classic Warioland. But the first thing that strikes you with this game has to be the visuals, specifically the animation. It's absolutely stunning! So slick and so many neat little touches, background art is also amazing. Good music as well, the Latin and Funk versions of the main theme on some of the escape sections are awesome! Hope they end up in the sound test, because they'll be going straight on my Mp3 player if so. By the way, has anyone used the stickers from the instruction manual?
  10. Heh, yeah was kinda done in a hurry. And there's probably still a few missing that were on NoE's list, nothing major though... I don't think. Anyway cheers mate, oh and feel free to mod the list any time you want. Added.: peace:
  11. Japanese site is up: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/r64j/index.html The game has also been dated for Europe, 14 of November 2008. : peace:
  12. NoE have revealed their Q4 lineup, check the first post for details. : peace:

Nice vids Boomstick. No worries mate. IGN's vid review is now up: http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/947046/de-blob/videos/wii_deblob_vidrev_092308.html I really like the look of everything in this game, but it's actually the music that makes me want it more than anything else, absolutely loving the funky soundtrack!

Posted this over in the bargains thread, but I'll stick it here too in case anyone misses it: I was going to wait a while before getting this game as it's out on the same day as Wario, but after seeing it for this price decided to order it now.
  15. Hehehe, that's so cool.
  16. That scan also shows that the game will feature motion controls for fishing, which is a no-brainer really, but I'm sure I remember hearing there wouldn't be any motion control in City Folk. Anyway, glad to see that's no longer the case. Loving the new personal accessories too, that duck beak is quality!
  17. Yeah and mini-games, I absolutely loved the ones in WL4 especially The Wario Hop. So, only a couple of weeks left to wait now for this game, be nice to get back to playing on Wii a bit more again. Apart from the odd game of Mario Kart, recently it's been all about the DS for me.
  18. Yeah it's been running since Monday, really fun competition. Sounds like something’s up with your Connect24, have you used anything that requires an internet connection on your Wii recently? Maybe you need to restart your Wi-Fi connection.
  19. Why SEGA? Why must you torment me!!? Just announce Space Channel 5 Wii already you... you bloody bastards!
  20. Sweet! Oh man I almost swallowed my tongue watching that trailer! Mii integration, 4-player VS and... Edit Mode!! *Head explodes* Must...have...Kororinpa 2.
  21. 01:05 on that vid, when the guy gets held up against a moving train... absolutely hilarious. Man, could this game be any more OTT?! I think it looks phenomenal though and seems to be full of incredibly interesting play mechanics. I really hope this one makes it to Europe intact.
  22. Wow, this looks bloody fantastic! Simply awesome style, here's hoping it'll have the game play to match.
  23. That's too bad man. Yeah it's selling pretty well right now, already outsold the GBA original too. Anyway, make sure your friends in Japan don't give up!
  24. I'm noticing a severe lack of Rhythm Tengoku Gold in that epic list of games Hellfire... for shame. ERRRR Wrong! But that reminds me, I have actually been playing (well... using ) Cooking Guide recently, so you can add that to my drought survival list too, just about. Next up for me will be Wario in September, although I've also got KORG DS-10 on the way from Japan which should be arriving soon.
  25. Brawl, Mario Kart, Wii Fit and Okami (still not finished it! ) Oh - and of course a certain DS game.
