    Okami

I saw some of the vids earlier, will still be picking this up despite those issues. Not seen much of the PS2 version either so I'm sure it won't bother me anyway. Just hope it doesn't come out on the same day as PES 2008 as some rumours are suggesting.
  2. You can expect one from me too. Hopefully we'll be able to have a game without the mega-lag of the DS version ey?
  3. But that's like saying when you play fifa/pes now with a traditional control scheme, that once you press a button the computer does it for you. ONM made it sound as if it was completely automated though, and it most certainly is not. You still have control over your defenders movement via the new control type by pointing at a player and pushing A, (I'm guessing it'll work with the analog stick method too). And you still control the timing of sliding tackles, clearances even the complete defensive line! The way I see it, the defensive controls are as spot on as the rest of the game play. I think ONM just had a case of the old, we need something negative to say in our review syndrome, so decided to fabricate / exaggerate something just for the sake of it. Classic.
  4. That's clearly a load of bull plop about not being able to control the defence. Just look at this vid: Skip to 05:07, there's a breakdown of the defensive controls at that part.
  5. Hmm... It looks like the week delay is only for countries where Atari is distributing the game though: http://www.fr.atari.com/ds/no-more-heroes-601.html Rising Star still have it down for the 29th of Feb, as do Gameplay. Even so, like this game needed anymore complications.
  6. Yeah I doubt it, would be cool though as I absolutely adore that cartoon! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LbVNZ-cghz0 Anyway, locked for now.
  7. Nice to see some new stuff for this at last, hopefully we'll get some direct feed vids soon. Interesting about the GCN controller support too, although that doesn't exactly fill me with confidence for the Wii Wheel controls. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
  8. 28th of March release date confirmed. PAL box art: And some new vids on the Japanese Wii site: http://wii.com/jp/articles/wepm2008/ Not been able to watch them unfortunately, my PC seems to hate vids on that site. For some reason they only play for a few seconds and then stop for like a minute before playing again for another few seconds! Hopefully someone will YouTube 'em.
  9. Yeah, I mean how's this for a confusing comparison:
  10. Wasn't planning on watching any more vids of the US version until having played the game, but I caved in and looked at some cut scene comparisons. This one is particularly flawed in the JPN/PAL release:
  11. Yeah man, ISS 64 was legendary! "Midfielder... makes the pass to... forward." "He goes in hard!" Comedy gold. Also had awesome menu and training music on that game, and I loved the bouncy faces on the condition screens too. In my opinion, nothing makes a game more exciting than Spanish commentary. Forget just plain old "Goal!" it's more like "Gol! Go go go go go go go gooooooooolllll! Gol! Gol! Gol! Gol!... Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllll!!!!" ect... I hope PES Wii has the option for different commentary languages. ISS2 on the GCN did, so I'd be pretty disappointed if the Wii game didn't.
  12. *Listens to the Animal Crossing and Mario Kart songs, repeatedly.* Happiness overload!! Loving the little montuno on the AC track, and Lakitu’s countdown beeps on the Mario Circuit tune, absolute genius! Damn it, why must NoE torture us with no release date for this game?!
  13. Classic! I hope you can do Mii teams vs realistic teams too.
  14. Ok, I added Star Trek and Dragonball to the first post. I'm really annoyed at the lack of any official release dates for 1st party stuff at the moment, (especially Smash Bros.) and I don't think the situation will change any time soon either. Pretty sure we got the Q2 list in April last year and chances are NoE will follow the same plan this time too.
  15. Yeah... September 2009. I decided to get one of the black Club Nintendo shirts too, it's cool that they are re-stocking this thing quite regularly, big improvement compared to the old stars catalogue. Now I just need my SNES VC controller, come on NoE, chop chop!
  16. Space Channel 5 on Wii?: I've said it before (multiple times ) and I'll say it again, hell yeah! Michael Jackson songs?: For the love of God, No!! I really hope they don’t mess this game up.
  17. Did the final stage today...
  18. Yeah man! Wiki is awesome, cutest character since Barkle from Rupeeland.Love his voice too… Zaaaackuuuu! Anyway, I’ve been playing for around 4 hours now and am up to the second boss. It’s getting better with every stage! All of the buy Z&W campaigns were spot-on, this is undoubtedly a must have title for any Wii owner. 2008 is off to a fantastic start with this one!
  19. I played for around an hour this morning, did the first few stages in that time. I'm really impressed with the game so far. The presentation is indeed excellent, it's very solid in the visual and audio department (at last another Wii game to support true 16:9!) and definitely shows that a lot of effort has gone in to making this game look good. The developers have clearly taken inspiration from the Zelda series (especially Wind Waker) which is great. Gameplay wise it seems pretty perfect, the point and click mechanism works well, as do the motion controls. I can’t wait to see what kind of interesting Wii Remote actions will be required as the game progresses, already been some pretty cool stuff. Not come across anything too taxing yet but I’m sure it won’t be long before I get completely stuck on a puzzle, I can just tell it’s going to be one of those games. Oh, and I absolutely love Wiki already, what a great character!
  20. Supposedly to clip your Wii Remote to the back of the controller, but it seems like Nintendo got distracted somehow and forgot to make use of it. And so someone else beat them to it… http://www.joystiq.com/2007/02/19/diy-nintendo-wii-classic-controller-clip-holds-your-wiimote-so/
  21. Looking back it was definitely an excellent year, let down only by the usual, immensely bad scheduling of release dates. Seriously, when is this industry going to learn to space titles out over 12 months, rather than cram ‘em all in at the end of the year!? People do play games all year round you know, not only in the winter!! ARRGGGHHHH!!!! I (and I’m sure many others) missed out on a few games due to the crap planning. And as time goes on and new games get released, the incentive to go back and purchase those older titles kind of fades away.
  22. Zack & Wiki and No More Heroes are the next Wii games I'll be getting. And maybe BWii, not sure yet.
  23. Very wise indeed. And nice to see a release date moving forward for a change, although it would be even nicer if it was the European date. You definitely importing then Owen?
  24. Cheers steggy. Added those to the first post, put Bleach down with No More Heroes though as the 28th is a Thursday so I'm guessing it's meant to be the 29th.
