  1. Excellent! I've been looking forward to a coin collecting competition.
  2. Woo! My copy just arrived from Gameplay! Was surprised to discover the limited edition sleeve that GAME were giving out and a Zelda postcard were also included! *Runs off to play*

I haven't noticed any framerate problems, mind you I'm only around 7 or so hours in at the moment. Nearly, just got minimal borders on the sides of the screen. Biggest setback visually (aside from the text clarity) is the now muted parchment paper effect, but you only really notice that on the pre-rendered cut scenes where it is in full effect (I guess they're straight from the PS2 version) other than that though it looks great.
  4. Oh right. Well I don't remeber the origional source for that game's date now, but the following all have it listed for the 27th: GAME Gameplay Play.com If anyone knows more about it please post in here. Really, like what?
  5. Was missing the "Crystal Bearers" part, I've fixed it now.: peace:
  6. Just over 2:00 for me at the moment. It's not as much fun as the last competition, but still cool.
  7. How come? As for the update, although not exactly ground breaking I do like the new feature of being able to move Miis to the parade. My plaza was almost full (with all of the Miis I've been making for the contest channel) so it's good to be able to free up some space whilst still keeping them on the system.

Only played this for a few hours so far, but am enjoying it. It's a really beautiful game. My biggest gripe is with the in-game text, I find it blends in way too much with whatever is in the background making it quite difficult to read (not exactly ideal for a game like this). Would've been better if the text box wasn't so transparent. Anyone else had problems with it, or do I just need to get my eyes tested? But yeah apart from that it's all good, looking forward to progressing a bit more and learning some new techniques.
  9. Loving the new competition, got around 17 seconds on it at the moment. I tried the Grumble Volcano thing earlier, managed to get on the rock (after a few attempts) but couldn't get the laps to register. Still, it's a really cheap shortcut. Hope it doesn't work online.
  10. Nope, don't remember hearing about that. Any more info / media for it, or was it only announced?
  11. Excellent news! Cheers for posting dazzybee. : peace: So... Wii Music, Samba de Amigo, Rhythm Tengoku Gold and Taiko on Wii. 2008 sure is going to be a great year for the music game genre! Now if only Space Channel 5 Wii would get confirmed.
  12. Sweet! Anything + Tengoku DS = boner. Well... maybe not anything.
  13. Yeah I've got a UniRoss charger too, this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/UniRoss-Battery-Charger-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B000GE573A My only regret... Not getting it sooner! Seriously good piece off kit. I hate to even think about how much moolah I wasted on standard batteries before getting it.
  14. Not really been following this title, but it looks great in those scans! Reminds me of the early version of RE4... ...which I really loved the look of, so definitely going to keep an eye on this now.
  15. Nope you're not alone, I'll also be crossing my fingers.
  16. Next Mario Kart Wii competition: (01/06/08 - 10/06/08) They're getting better and better!
  17. Aside from that though, it lists the 15th as is release date. Cool, cheers for the info.: peace:
  18. Sweet! Hope it starts soon. You sure it'll be Wii Wheel only though? I'd love it if it was, it'd be very interesting to see if the people that dominate the current leaderboards could still do so with the wheel. I ended up with 1:43:ish on the Mario circuit comp, pretty pleased with that time. Got to A rank at least. Would be nice if there was a prize for taking part though, like an extra Mii outfit or something.

    Wii Fit

Cool to hear it's working for you though. I ordered a Wii Fit yoga mat a while back, it arrived today: Bit pricey at £17 but the quality is very good, it's made by Hori though so that goes without saying really. It will definitely make some of the exercises a bit more comfortable, like the dreaded Jackknife!

    Wii Fit

Had a really nice surprise after doing the body test today. I made it in to the ideal section! : Check out the huge dip on the second dot, spent a bit too much time on it the first day I think. But 2 weeks in and the results are pretty clear. Have to admit I was mega skeptical about Wii Fit in a weight gaining context, but looks like I was wrong. I've been sticking to only the yoga and muscle training and it seems to be working! I'm much more confident about reaching my goal now. Has anyone else that's trying to gain weight noticed an improvement?
  21. Oh dear... Whoever thought it'd be a good idea not to include Super Mario Kart in that top ten needs a slap. What's next gametrailers, a top ten video game developers without Nintendo?
  22. At last a competition! I spent quite a while on it yesterday, best I could get was around 1:50. It's annoying though because I'm pretty sure I can get a better time, but there's just so much shit going on and the CPU characters are complete bastards on it! Even more so than 150cc/mirror it seems. I found it helps to re-start to mix up the characters you face, as some combinations are pure evil. Hope we get one of the coin collecting challenges for the next competition, something a bit more chilled out at least.

    Wii Fit

I managed to do it today too! You're right though, shame you don't get anything for it. Well, apart from being asked if you want to challenge your record. At which point I was reminded of this: http://carvallo.ytmnd.com/ "Would you like to play, again? You have selected, no."
  24. Yeah good games. although I was getting seriously raped on most of 'em! My plan to take advantage of the Americans majorly backfired tonight as I ended up against loads of very good N-E peeps, must have dropped at least 700 points. Awesome games though. I reckon this is easily my most played Wii game now, have racked up an insane amount of play time. Can't see me getting bored any time soon either, still got competitions to look forward to as well! Hopefully we'll get one this week.
  25. Cheers dude. Was nice to finally get to race you, oh and Oli1983uk too! : peace: Yeah I played some worldwide matches against all American opponents earlier, almost lapped everyone on a Rainbow Road race! Ain't it great to get a game before the US once in a while?
