  1. @Hero-of-Time, so what are your thoughts on MH Rise? I remember you were happy with the direction the series took with World (having finally played it myself I can see why ) and this seems to be an attempt at blending that with the portable style. So yeah, interested to know what you think about it.
  2. You’re back!! Missed you, man.
  3. That was great fun! Thanks everyone.
  4. I might actually do the same. Have been using a DualShock 4 on my gaming PC (via an 8BitDo adapter) and while it works fine most of the time, occasionally it’ll do this weird connection glitch where the controller is paired but completely unresponsive in games. The button layout situation is obviously confusing too, although I have become a bit more used to that now. Still, it would be nice to use something where the on-screen prompts actually match the device. It’s still confusing either way though, why the hell did Microsoft have to pointlessly switch from the established Y X B A layout to X Y A B? You should see me trying to play any games that feature QTEs on PC. Using a DS4, the Microsoft button layout, and almost 30 years of muscle memory to Nintendo’s layout... It ain’t pretty I tell ya. The “X” button can potentially be in 3 different locations!
  5. Awesome stuff @Glen-i. What was the problem then?
  6. Still no solution to that one then? So bizarre. I mean we played a lot of Monster Hunter (and other online games) before with you two on the same connection just fine, wonder what changed. These kind of inexplicable tech issues where one day something works fine and the next it’s suddenly broken drive me absolutely nuts!
  7. Nice. Didn’t think it’d be possible to retain that level of smooth animation within the size limit. What did you use to optimise it?
  8. Thanks. That was a really fun one to make, and yeah, it was always going to be classic Bomberman (I also have some great memories with those games, particularly on the SNES) the modern style looks so weird to me.
  9. Cheers for the games everyone. I hope you enjoyed the redesigned Epic Flail stage. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a character get launched as fast as my Ryu did during that fight on Pandemonium! It was literally 2 frames of animation!
  10. Afraid not, that is a bit too next gen for gif avatar format. To actually contribute something to this thread now that I’m here though, I watched some footage from that game yesterday and it does indeed look very cool, sounds like the controller is doing some really impressive stuff with it as well. Not sure when I’m going to be able to get my hands on one (given the current world situation and the fact I’m not getting a PS5 myself) but I’m definitely intrigued by those new feedback aspects of the controller and looking forward to experiencing them at some point.
  11. @Helmsly @Katie @Ronnie @Aneres11 @Tales Are any of you still playing AC and interested in this?
  12. Yeah, a lot of people are incredibly pissed off about it by the looks of things. I don’t think CDPR necessarily want to punish PC gamers, but rather they’re well aware that once the game is out there (on any platform) there’s going to be massive amounts of footage and info doing the rounds, which will inevitably see the game being overexposed to those that are still unable to play it. So by sticking to a simultaneous release they avoid the risk of large amounts of players seeing spoilers etc. Of course it’s less likely the same thing would’ve happened if the situation was reversed and the console versions were ready to roll but the PC version wasn’t, but well... that’s pretty much always been the case, no?
  13. Yeah, I had a quick go on the demo and the frame rate was seriously distracting. It doesn’t help that I’ve been doing a lot of PC gaming recently, which has definitely lowered my tolerance to frame rate issues/bad performance. Everything else seems pretty great though, well... other than Princess Zelda’s voice. It got on my nerves in BotW, and it still does.
  14. Didn’t realise this was released on mobile a couple of years ago! Not sure how it flew under my radar. Looks like the co-op play and infinite mode are exclusive to the Switch port though, which is good seeing as it’s double the price on eShop.
  15. Wow, Ubisoft weren’t exactly subtle there, ey?
  16. It’ll almost certainly be that, yeah. Made even worse by the fact that Switch has such a terrible WiFi connection.
  17. Actually quite happy about the delay (imagine Sega are too ) as it gives Yakuza Like a Dragon some space.
  18. @Glen-i, count me in for the Halloween party! Damn it, guess I’ll be sexy vampire nurse then.
  19. Is that it for hat Pikachu now? I got 6 in total.
  20. 05:17 on that vid was quite an eye (or should I say, ear) opener!
  21. Yeah, I really wish it was a full game but it’s just the 1 level on a loop with increasing difficulty. I played through it 3 times and unlocked the extra character. I tell you what though, with mainline Yakuza shifting to turn-based combat, I’d actually love a full Yakuza beat-em-up in this style of gameplay, either with retro visuals or 3D characters and environments from the existing games. Imagine a side-scrolling game running on the dragon engine!
  22. Think so, yeah. Anyway, no biggie. Well, apart from causing me to play with randoms.
  23. Well nobody else was using any of those characters, and it’s tradition (or it should be ) for Kirby to show up at some point during a newcomer party. What happened to custom stages last night BTW? I had to jump in to a random battle arena *shivers* to playtest my Bomberman stage.
  24. Hehehe! Don’t they usually charge on dispatch though?
