  1. How about everyone designs a custom outfit based on their favourite Pokémon? Anyway, add me to the guest list please, but it’ll have to be as a maybe for now.
  2. Man, I really wish this was launching a bit sooner (September or October would've been ideal) it's coming out way too close to Cyberpunk 2077 for my liking. Reckon it's going to get completely lost in the hype for that game.
  3. Oh nice, the Porygon2 comes with an Eviolite!
  4. Cheers for the heads-up, will nab those now.
  5. Look what I found on my flight to Japan!: Not quite what I was expecting. Perhaps Nintendo requested their HQ be squashed like that to avoid anyone peeking inside? *EDIT* Holy crap, this sim/game/thing is stunning!:
  6. Yep, this is awesome. Have completed all of the tutorials, which did a pretty great job of teaching the basics. Redid a couple of them just to be sure I knew exactly what was what, but I’m now quite confident in my flying and navigation abilities. Only gripe so far is how it seems there are some useful controls/features that are locked to keyboard or mouse. Now I suppose this really shouldn’t be a complaint given the type of “game” this is and of course the platform it’s on, but with it also heading to Xbox I assumed everything would already be doable with just a controller too. Also, some of the onscreen prompts for certain functions only give information on the keyboard input despite a controller equivalent being available, so I actually had to figure out a few of the controls by trial and error. As for performance, it seems to be running very well for me at the recommended settings which were set to high, still the occasional dip here and there (quite possibly related to the online features, as I’ve also had those enabled the entire time) but I haven’t really messed about with the visual options yet. Speaking of online, at first I thought it wasn’t working properly as I didn’t see any of the live flights or other players when in-game (despite the map claiming there were lots in the surrounding airspace) but after turning on the option to display names I suddenly realised that I was indeed surrounded! Anyway, whether there are other planes on the journey or not, I’m definitely going to enjoy flying around the world and checking out various landmarks. Already did a quick flight over the pyramids in Egypt which was super cool! Think I’ll head to Japan next!
  7. Yeah, that would indeed suck. Not to mention being completely against the point of having a pre-install. Guess we’ll find out tomorrow.
  8. Anyone know what the deal is with the file size for this? Before pre-installation it said approximately 152 GB (insane! ) but it only seems to have used up 1 GB on my drive. And now in the details section (where it was initially reporting 152 GB) it says the approximate size is 127 GB. Make up your mind! Anyway, it’s pre-installed (I think ) and I’m ready to fly tomorrow!
  9. Discovered photo mode: Things have really picked up since my last post... Wasn't too sure about this game at first, but it's really growing on me.
  10. Thanks for the hunts! Are you both connecting via WiFi? Maybe if one of you was on a wired connection it might help.
  11. 8pm is good for me, today and/or Saturday.
  12. Good games last night everyone. Started playing with the Joy-Con for some weird reason (think the heat got to me ) so was doing even worse than usual in the first couple of fights. Then my brain kicked in and I remembered that I have a GCN controller. Was glad I at least managed a win with R.O.B (still got it ) although it was a very close call. What GSP are you at for those characters? Took a look at my roster, unsurprisingly I’m not in Elite Smash. Not even R.O.B, who I have at over 7 million GSP.
  13. Finally started playing this recently, still not sure what to make of it. It’s certainly... unique. Looks amazing though. Playing it on PC at max settings with such a smooth frame rate is quite the visual treat. Glad I decided against the PS4 version now. Think I’m starting to get to grips with the gameplay loop, but there’s just so much shit going on with options and menus etc. has been confusing the hell out of me! I’m glad there’s at least an option to auto arrange the cargo, can’t be dealing with that malarkey. The story is obviously another confusing aspect, but I was always expecting that. It doesn’t help that there are so many weird names and abbreviations to keep track of. I do kind of wish the story would move a bit quicker though. So far the most enjoyment I’ve had with this game has been for all the wrong reasons, and that is the absolute hilarity of trying to ride the motorcycle in completely inappropriate locations. Yeah, seeing the bike awkwardly stuttering over rocks and up cliffs has had me in stitches on several occasions now (what can I say, I’m easily entertained ) it’s even funnier when the moody soundtrack kicks in. Anyway, looking forward to discovering where the story goes, hopefully it’ll pick up the pace a bit soon.
  14. A look at the history of Flight Simulator: Absolutely incredible. Can’t wait to try this.
  15. It was great playing it again yesterday. And I was surprised by how quickly I got back into it, apart from not remembering which meals I used to eat before hunting. Oh, and I forgot my Palico one time too. But yeah, it’s just such a fun game.
  16. @Dcubed, here’s where Baby Face was hiding:
  17. Oh no! Yeah, I had a feeling Baby Face (or rather, the method to reveal him) might be a bit too hidden on this one. Everything you need in order to find him is available right at the end of the level (providing you’ve already removed the red blocks that cover the axe) but yeah, the visual clues are very subtle indeed. Will post a vid tomorrow.
  18. Ah, ok. Got something to sort out now, but should be able to head online in about 15-20 mins time. Will check back here again beforehand, see what the situation is. Gonna go ahead and mention @S.C.G too, would be nice to get 4 of us hunting.
  19. Ooh, Monster hunting you say!? I might be interested in lending a paw. Would have to be sometime between now and 7:30PM for me though. Hang on a minute... @Glen-i aren’t you usually offline until Thursdays, are you trying to confuse me?
  20. Ok, my thoughts on the default size levels... @Dcubed: @Vileplume2000: @Glen-i: @Sméagol: Thanks to everyone who took part, all of the levels did an excellent job considering the pretty severe restriction, and it was really fun seeing the different ideas that were used to get the most out of it. Limitation does indeed breed creativity! They were all fun, but ultimately I think I got the most enjoyment (and the most playtime) from @Dcubed‘s level, so you’re getting my vote this month!
  21. How dare you! That is so not what happened. I can’t even begin to tell you how wrong you are, so utterly wrong! Look, it’s not my fault, my new PC is to blame! Anyway, so here’s my level that I totally didn’t just frantically whip up today: Yeah... it hasn’t had much testing and might be slightly on the difficult side too, but hopefully it’s enjoyable enough. Looking forward to trying out all of the mini-levels tomorrow.
  22. Well the height of a horizontal level cannot be adjusted, so yeah, those things you mention are not a problem. As long as you don’t adjust the overall length of the stage (in either direction) via the goal, and don’t use any pipes (other than the clear type), anything else you can come up with within the 3.5 screen width restriction is absolutely fine.
  23. Oh right. Yeah, they’re off the menu by default anyway.
