  1. But that's not the case for the quality of the game, is it?
  2. Dark Souls II: Prepare to Buy. Stuff you don't want.
  3. Well after 20 hours you'd have barely scratched the surface of the game. Also, I hated it on 3DS and found the Wii U version far superior. So yeah, that probably didn't help either.
  4. Wow! Thought Monster Hunter was a dead cert, what with you loving Dark Souls. Surprising.
  5. Which 2 games? I'll have a guess... Monster Hunter and X?
  6. Watch these: If you like what you see, then get a Wii U.
  7. Awesome, well done man. What's the next goal, still planning to cover the Equator?
  8. Damn it. I'll be pretty surprised if it happens now to be honest. I mean they must have seen some of the negative feedback from both press and from gamers on Miiverse regarding the online, but it looks like they're just going to ignore it. Additional content is great, Nintendo, but it's not what Wii Sports Club really needs.
  9. What the hell? Pachter might know about business, but he clearly knows sweet f.a. about video games, and even less about Nintendo. He's great entertainment value though.
  10. Cheers for that. Wish I'd known about it earlier, as I made the change but actually found it a bit weird having dash, roll and jump all on the circle button, so went back to the default. Having already played for 10+ hours with those jump controls, I just got used to it. Anyway, I managed to defeat the first Boss last night (assuming it was the first boss, every bloody enemy in this game feels like a boss ). After trying and failing about 20 times as a hollow, I decided to make use of my first Human Effigy and return to human form, which did the trick. There's a limited amount of Human Effigy items, right? I haven't really been using any items so far, as I'm not aware of which stuff is replaceable and what's limited/rare.
  11. There are gonna be loads of omissions as it's only a 2 hour show. Great that this is going on though, I bet loads of people that aren't clued-up on gaming (probably 99.9% of the Classic FM audience) are in a state of shock right now.
  12. On right now: http://www.classicfm.com/radio/player/ http://www.classicfm.com/radio/shows/saturday-night-movies/15-march-2014/ *EDIT* Gusty Garden Galaxy... gets me every single time.
  13. Weird. Are you sure there's no way to increase the challenge, an extra mode or something? The way you describe it sounds as if the game almost plays itself!
  14. @dazzybee, you watched the trailer before downloading this, right? "Match 3 or more, and you're good to go" That makes it pretty clear what the game involves. What exactly were you expecting?
  15. Got the idea for the avatar after seeing this awesome artwork on Nintendo's Japanese site the other day:http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wiiu/hardware/pickup/index.html Thought it'd be funny to have Mario watching something else on TV though, and it was. As for the sig, I'm not actually playing Mario 64 at the moment, but I'm not playing anything else on Nintendo hardware either. So yeah, Mario's probably going to be sleeping until MK8 finally comes out.
  16. Nice. What did you make those in? First background is better IMO. They're on the way, will PM you soon.
  17. I see.Well that's very strange as from what I've played of it so far, Dark Souls and Wii U seem like a perfect fit. Like I mentioned before, the GamePad could free up the TV screen, giving players constant and immediate access to items/info. But even better than that would've been Miiverse integration for the message system. For those that aren't aware, you can leave messages all over the game world for other players to read while playing online, offering tips, warnings etc... In fact, the moderated nature of Miiverse would have allowed for custom messages, rather than having to choose from pre-set phrases. Oh well.
  18. Was Dark Souls II ever on the cards for Wii U? I'm guessing not, but didn't follow development of the game at all. Anyway, playing it at the moment on PS3, and think it's a real shame that it didn't come to Wii U. Would have been quality for the menus etc, as all of this stuff could've just been chucked on the GamePad screen: Not to mention it would've filled the gap to MK8 very nicely.
  19. Just gave this a go online... messages everywhere! Some have already been really helpful though. Loving the bloodstain thing too, and was glad to see that I wasn't the only person to get killed by the trio of pigs in Majula. Yeah, this game has definitely got me hooked now, it's pretty incredible. The feeling of exploration is amazing, it's so rewarding finding new areas or items. And getting jumped by enemies is genuinely terrifying due to how brutal the combat is. This is the first non-horror game that's really made me experience a sense of fear. There are a couple of things I'm not too keen on though, the first is how jump is mapped to clicking in the left stick. Although I suppose it's not used very much, but still annoying. Secondly I don't like that you can't see how your stats will change when shopping for new gear. Xenoblade did a similar thing with its gem crafting system, which really got on my nerves. Speaking of gear, I seem to be collecting quite a lot of different weapons and armour now, but have the best stuff equipped. I don't see any options to sell though, so should I just be discarding anything I'm not using?
  20. Only just realised that it's possible to retrieve your souls by going back to the spot where you died. Lost a few thousand souls due to not being aware of that earlier, oh well. I've also noticed that my max HP is getting gradually reduced every time I cark it. "psst, developers of this game, it's difficult enough already yeah" I thought that leveling up would restore it, but apparently not. What to do? Other than not bloody die, obviously.
  21. Holy shit!: That was my reaction to seeing that screen. Yeah... gonna take me a while to get my head around this game I think. Up to Level 17 now though, I'm definitely enjoying it so far and the atmosphere is pretty damn awesome. It's such a nerdy fucking game though, the way the NPCs talk is particularly hilarious. Speaking of which, I already messed up on that tip @Sheikah and accidentally hit an NPC when I was just trying to talk to them... Whoops.
  22. Started playing this a couple of hours ago, and before even seeing an enemy I already died. Yeah, was just moving my character around trying to get used to the controls, and accidentally fell down a hole. Killing myself earned me a Trophy though, which I found rather amusing. Anyway, since then I've customised my character and got kitted out with a sword (chose to be a Knight ), now I'm just wandering around trying to figure out what the hell I'm supposed to be doing and where I'm supposed to be going. It's been ages since I've played a game like this, where you basically get no guidance at all. Interesting stuff.
  23. Not sure really, I was quite surprised that I even managed to successfully steal one. Then when I was flying away from the military base, I thought I was trying to lose the police/army NPCs, but it turned out to be other players in some kind of choppers (they had missiles, yeah). I only managed to shoot one of them down (the fighter Jet is a bit too fast I think ) before I ended up getting blown up myself.
  24. @Tales, that was a great little online session just now. I hadn't played GTA V in a long time (as you could probably tell ) it's amazing how much the online game has progressed, with people going around in tanks and stuff. First time I've ever managed to steal/fly a fighter jet online too. Are you going to try and reach Level 100?
  25. The Soul Train?
