So I just attempted an invasion, used a Cracked Red Eye Orb and arrived in someone else's game. Started looking for them, and after literally 20 seconds a message popped up on screen saying they had moved to another area or something, and I was sent back to my world. Was expecting to get the Cracked Red Eye Orb back (seeing as I didn't get to do shit) but no! It was gone. Not cool game, not cool at all. I was going to try again but using a Cracked Blue Eye Orb (got more of those) but I can't use 'em for some reason.

I'll never understand the problem some people seem to have with Nintendo or their games being too Japanese. It's one of the the best things about them! Anyone that doesn't appreciate this should just accept the fact and move on to something else. Nintendo aren't going to change in that regard (bloody well hope not anyway) and nor should they have to.

Is the "real" way also accessed by using the key from the 1st boss?

And make the wait for this game even more excruciatingly unbearable than it is already. Not that I don't want new info, I obviously do. But I'm just so hyped for MK8 already. A Nintendo Direct could be fatal!

So I defeated my second boss last night. And when I say I defeated it, what I really mean is me and 2 other players did. Yeah, I had to make use of the summon feature in order to take out...

The theme GPs are great, and 12 of the same character/kart in a race is seriously entertaining. It also has the added benefit of leveling the playing field (a little bit ) as nobody will have a faster or better handling vehicle than anyone else. And people can still play with their own vehicle or character selection anytime they like by simply playing on worldwide, but the theme GPs are only possible thanks to the league.

I know, was quite surprised by my playtime for it on the Activity Log.

But that's not the case for the quality of the game, is it?

Well after 20 hours you'd have barely scratched the surface of the game. Also, I hated it on 3DS and found the Wii U version far superior. So yeah, that probably didn't help either.

Wow! Thought Monster Hunter was a dead cert, what with you loving Dark Souls. Surprising.

Which 2 games? I'll have a guess... Monster Hunter and X?

Damn it. I'll be pretty surprised if it happens now to be honest. I mean they must have seen some of the negative feedback from both press and from gamers on Miiverse regarding the online, but it looks like they're just going to ignore it. Additional content is great, Nintendo, but it's not what Wii Sports Club really needs.

What the hell? Pachter might know about business, but he clearly knows sweet f.a. about video games, and even less about Nintendo. He's great entertainment value though.

Cheers for that. Wish I'd known about it earlier, as I made the change but actually found it a bit weird having dash, roll and jump all on the circle button, so went back to the default. Having already played for 10+ hours with those jump controls, I just got used to it. Anyway, I managed to defeat the first Boss last night (assuming it was the first boss, every bloody enemy in this game feels like a boss ). After trying and failing about 20 times as a hollow, I decided to make use of my first Human Effigy and return to human form, which did the trick. There's a limited amount of Human Effigy items, right? I haven't really been using any items so far, as I'm not aware of which stuff is replaceable and what's limited/rare.

There are gonna be loads of omissions as it's only a 2 hour show. Great that this is going on though, I bet loads of people that aren't clued-up on gaming (probably 99.9% of the Classic FM audience) are in a state of shock right now.

Weird. Are you sure there's no way to increase the challenge, an extra mode or something? The way you describe it sounds as if the game almost plays itself!

@dazzybee, you watched the trailer before downloading this, right? "Match 3 or more, and you're good to go" That makes it pretty clear what the game involves. What exactly were you expecting?

Got the idea for the avatar after seeing this awesome artwork on Nintendo's Japanese site the other day:http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wiiu/hardware/pickup/index.html Thought it'd be funny to have Mario watching something else on TV though, and it was. As for the sig, I'm not actually playing Mario 64 at the moment, but I'm not playing anything else on Nintendo hardware either. So yeah, Mario's probably going to be sleeping until MK8 finally comes out.
