  1. No idea. Actually, I’ve only had 1 Pokémon evolve so far, which was Venonat. Have also had to remove Pikachu from my team in order to progress, even with my current team of most powerful Pokémon/stones I’m finding it tricky to beat some of the boss stages now. Looks like I’ll need to level up a bit more.
  2. Just added some for the first time, will let you know what happens. *EDIT* Lv. 6 Electabuzz... Meh, not even shiny. Nice! Me thinks shiny Pokémon are a bit too easy to obtain in this game.
  3. Yeah, I think all blue ingredients = water type, all red = fire, etc. I also cooked with all yellow once which got me a 2nd Pikachu.
  4. Less than 2 weeks to go! *Total Recall lady* “Two weeeeeks!” Hopefully there aren’t anymore substantial leaks, at least on the Nintendo side of things. I’m not too fussed about seeing 3rd party, Xbox or PS stuff before e3 as I rarely watch those conferences live and the surprises don’t have the same kind of impact for me anyway. As for posting leaks on here, it would be nice to restrict it all to a “spoiler” thread, but at the end of the day unless it’s something that was also backed up by moderation it’s basically impossible. Unfortunately, it seems like the only way to keep the entirety of e3 a surprise these days is to completely avoid the internet until the moment the event starts.
  5. I’ve been picking away at this throughout the day and it’s definitely growing on me, it plays like a much less bonkers version of Pokémon Rumble and there’s actually a little bit of depth to the gameplay via the type system and timing moves correctly. The items you collect/attach to your Pokémon is a pretty nice way to power up your team (or in my case, give all the best stuff to Pikachu ) and I like how filling out a row with upgrades activates additional “bingo” skills. Looks like Shiny Pokémon are in too, I got a shiny Diglett earlier on. Not purchased any of the micro-transactions, and think getting through the game without doing so is going to fine (with some patience, obviously ) In fact I’ve already obtained several items that are sold in the eShop purely from just playing the game.
  6. Big time. No Ulala, Amigo, AiAi, Beat, B.D. Joe... They needed to be keeping all those characters plus adding even more (Yakuza characters would’ve been awesome ) not reducing it to Sonic only.
  7. And best of all the performance also looks good, which is something that Game Freak have been really struggling with for quite a while. I actually like how this is trying to simplify stuff and cutting down on the ridiculous number of Pokémon there are in the newer titles. Still not sure if this’ll get me back into Pokémon, but will be keeping an eye on it.
  8. This doesn’t seem to be up to much gameplay-wise and there’s been little done to make it feel intuitive on Switch when using standard controls (you have to move an on-screen cursor using the control stick ) but hey, its free and it has some awesome tunes. I’m especially loving this: So catchy!
  9. Finished up Fairune 2 (which should be called Unfairune 2 ) and the rest of the collection. Anyway, with all 3 Fairune games complete, Fairune Blast was finally unlocked! And it is a lot of fun. Unfortunately though, it's also very short. Just 1 level. It's cool how it features the 3 characters from Kamiko though, and replaying the game with each of them feels quite different due to the unique weaponry and special attacks (also taken right out of Kamiko). I've already got pretty hooked trying to find the optimal attack patterns and because each attempt only lasts for a couple of minutes, you definitely get that "just one more game" thing going on. Perfect for the Switch. Will definitely be playing this for a while longer, see if I can climb the world ranking a bit more: LOL @ the disparity between my RPG and SHMUP rankings. Also, I tip my hat to the Japanese player that is number 1 across all 4 titles! Crazy.
  10. Couldn't make it on Sunday night, but should be able to join for a bit on Thursday after MK. Preferably Turf War, if it's a low turnout.
  11. Think I'm nearing the end of Fairune 2 now, but it has been a pretty frustrating experience at times. I mean there's being obscure and then there's taking the piss, and Fairune 2 definitely takes the piss. I just love the presentation of the game though... if it played more like Zelda (i.e. proper combat and far less cryptic design) I'd like it a lot more. Anyway, will reserve judgment of the collection as a whole until I play through Origin and also unlock the final game. I also downloaded Aqua Kitty UDX the other day, which is proving to be very enjoyable. Defender + Cats + C64-esque chiptunes = awesome!
  12. Oh great, now I’m talking to myself.
  13. Is there also a demo for the 3DS version?
  14. Genuinely thought that was a double post for a split second. One of you has got to un-Nivea your avatar.
  15. True. I expect it’d be a smoother experience for those in Japan. Bloody well hope so anyway for the sake of anyone that may have “purchased” this.
  16. until

This is available to download already on the US eShop, but unfortunately nothing in it (even training and CPU Vs) is actually functional until June 1st. Very much looking forward to trying this out.
  17. This does indeed look amazing. When exactly is it getting released though?
  18. Well, I didn’t even get to reach the 15 minute limit, as the game just couldn’t seem to make it through the opening section. The few moments I did get to see ran incredibly poorly though, and I was also noticing severe input lag on the menus. Yeah... me thinks this was a pretty bad idea, Capcom.
  19. Probably going to have to spend a bit more time with the demo to be absolutely sure, but at the moment I’m not really enjoying the gameplay either. It just doesn’t feel like there’s enough control over which plates you’re choosing. Touch controls are a definite help, but even then it still seems way too random and chaotic to offer any kind of genuine satisfaction from planning moves etc. The presentation is very nice though (even if some aspects don’t hold up so well on the big screen) and the cutscenes can be pretty funny. I’m quite surprised they went with two protagonists for a game with traditionally animated cutscenes though, seems like a massive waste of resources and no doubt a substantial increase to the game’s filesize for something so trivial. Also, is it just me, or is the audio level in this set waaaay too high? Good job you can manually lower it across multiple settings.
  20. Oh come on, get excited nekunando-chan!
  21. Indeed. I just thank god for online play (even crappy Nintendo style online ) for protecting my nose from such atrocities.
  22. Been reading through this thread on Era: https://www.resetera.com/threads/compete-smash-players-plead-with-each-other-to-please-stop-smelling-so-bad.43481/unread It's both hilarious and revolting. Seriously though, how can some people be so gross? I struggle to go into places like CeX now because of the repugnant odour in there, so can't even begin to imagine how bad it must be at competitive gaming events and stuff like that.
