Got a feeling team No-pulp is doomed, team-pulp is pretty much nowhere to be seen. And as we all know by now, the popular choice never wins.

Yeah, I’m up to 812 after the Mario Tennis promotion.

There are options for that stuff, but just tucked away in the Free Play mode. When you create a room you can change it from Tiebreak to a 2 game match. You can also customise which stages are played. Not sure why they've set it up like that, but hey at least it’s there. I’ve just been playing some Free Play doubles matches with randoms, and it’s an absolute blast! Also, Daisy’s celebration animation is hilarious! I love how you can freely run about after each point again, and it’s even more fun in doubles.

It has improved slightly since the beta test, definitely still an issue at times though. Yeah, but unfortunately that connection strength indicator before matches doesn't always tell it like it is. There seems to be a weird glitch were I sometimes end up playing as a lefty for some reason too. We need to get some N-E games going at some point. Would love to try doubles with simple rules.

@Glen-i, not exactly sure how you go about doing the scores with a disconnection/CPU combo but here's mine from before and after that D/C on last GP if it helps: 39 points and 3rd place from only 3 races, not bad.

Man, a lot of Spiny Shells around when the CPU racers are enabled! Gutted I got D/C'd before the 3rd race on the last GP, especially as it was Mario Circuit again. Oh well.

No intention of double dipping on this, but figured I’d check out the demo anyway. It looks great on Switch, but I am not a fan of the gyro pointer thing they got going on. When playing in docked mode, the cursor being on-screen all the time is horribly distracting and it’s just confusing trying to control that, the camera and Toad.

Pretty sure it’s just the overall playtime on your save file, so you can pause and continue.

Ah that's a good question. I'd not considered the possibility of DLC for single player content in this. So yeah, there could still be hope yet. Although I'm pretty sure the focus is going to be on multiplayer with this game, but you never know.

Despite looking like a step in the right direction (to bring it back to old-school Mario Tennis and Mario Power Tennis RPG quality) I had a feeling the single player in this might fall short. Just seemed to lack the heart of the adventure modes in those handheld entries. It is indeed a shame. I know I'll still get a lot out of the multiplayer, but it would've been so great to have a really decent single player mode too. Oh well.

Had a quick go on the demo. I love the visual style of this game! Absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately though (and not surprisingly) it doesn't look like the gameplay is my cup of tea. Random encounters do my head in, and the battles seem to go on FOREVER! Although I'm guessing the character type I chose (thief) doesn't really help in the combat situation.

I've not been playing this at all recently (Splatoon 2 DLC is just too good ) so yeah, still stuck on that same damn stage that my crappy electric Pokémon can't beat. Not sure if I can be bothered with the grind to get better Pokémon/stones now really... Perhaps I'll get back to it at some point, after playing through Mario Tennis.
