  1. @Glen-i, you might as well add me to the always IN! list.
  2. I ranked up again and now have access to even more powerful weapons, unfortunately though, none of them look like a cat. Dilemma. Reckon I will need upgrade too, as some of the missions are getting pretty tough now! @Hero-of-Time, if you’re up for some co-op later on today I plan to go online for a bit between 17:00 and 19:00, possibly after the MK League too.
  3. No way, man! The cheese would be unbearable if that was the case. The made up language and voice FX need to stay. Can’t disagree with your last point though. I’m really into Mercenary Kings at the moment, but I might pop on for a bit of Splatoon. Put me down as a maybe.
  4. About halfway through Task 3-3 and 4-2. But yeah, the appearance/capture rate definitely seems much lower with these. Impressive. What level is your character at? I’m Lv. 92, and wondering if 100 is the max or not. This must be where I’m going wrong then. Seriously, check my market box to see just how crazy I’ve been going, but instead of catching a crawfish I’ve just been finding loads of black bass.
  5. I started getting back into this (after a bit of a break) thanks to the most recent fishing tourney, and am now trying to catch up with crafting the new amenities. Really glad to see they finally fixed the friend list, it no longer jumps back to the top whenever you help someone enter the quarry. Some new fish and bug types have been added since I last regularly played too. Have managed to find most of them, but the Crawfish, Cyclommatus Stag and Pearl-Oyster Shell are just nowhere no be seen! And looking at their spawn rates, it's no surprise. As low as 0.3%?! Crazy. @VsPhoenix, have you had any luck with finding those? I'm starting to think they don't actually exist.
  6. Looking at the amount of ranks, missions and items to forge I reckon I will be, yeah. Very much depends on your tolerance to repetitive gameplay loops I reckon. If you're the type of player that enjoys the process of gathering items to gradually create new gear, then you should enjoy it as a single player experience too though. Speaking of crafting new gear, this morning I obtained what will surely be my weapon of choice for the rest of the game! Say hello to my little friend... the Mother F***ing Cat Gun! Meows with every shot fired! Totally not annoying in any way, shape, or form. Love it! Also, I had no idea that you could deflect enemy bullets with the knife! Which is stupid because the guy that sells them actually mentions it several times, but I just thought it was humorous dialogue rather than an actual gameplay mechanic. That extra long range knife I'm using in the above pic is also particularly great for dealing with those Steven Segal lookalikes on top of that building.
  7. Hola, y bienvenido a N-E! Yo tambien soy de España, pero llevo muchos años viviendo en Inglaterra, entonces mi Español esta algo estropeado. So yeah, that's all the Spanish you're getting from me. Anyway, see you on the race track! I'll be the crazy player that's constantly throwing items in every direction, looking to cause as much mayhem as possible. *Sees H-o-T has posted in the thread* ... He's joining!? ...
  8. Yeah, I've been doing this recently with one of those little USB powered fans, connected to the Switch's dock. Only run it when playing the more demanding titles (like Splatoon 2) but it definitely makes a difference. Anyway, checked my Switch and there are no signs of any cracks or warping. Only defect on mine is that the paint appears to be rubbing off over time, on the back of system and the Joy-Cons. But I can just about cope with that.
  9. Cheers for the help on those missions last night, sorry I wasn’t online for long but had already been playing quite a while before you appeared. It’s cool splitting up like that to cover different parts of the map and objectives, we were pretty damn efficient on that destroying turrets mission. I guess you’re right about the lobbies being empty though, as I only encountered 1 other player during that entire session.
  10. No worries. Good news about the quests completing online even if you’re not the host, I too thought that you had to be the person posting the quest in order for it to be marked as complete. I’m actually still a bit confused by the online setup though, like what determines whether you host a game or join someone else’s? When I first enabled online via the little robot it had other players join me, and I was able to choose quests. But earlier on (when we crossed paths) it had me joining an existing game, despite the action (enabling online via the robot) being exactly the same each time. I guess it doesn’t really matter anyway, especially if quests complete for everyone regardless, but would still like to know how it works.
  11. Nintendo's online is so good there's no need!: Seriously though, would be good to play sometime without a random player with a weapon that kills everything in 2 seconds.
  12. Nice one. I'm currently at the 3rd rank (Corporal) and have only just started getting into crafting better stuff, got through Recruit and the majority of Private with the default gear. It looks like the similarities to Monster Hunter also extend to the deeper mechanics though, meaning the enemies that you encounter early on (like soldiers or wild animals in the free hunting area) are weak to fire damage. So yeah, I recommend crafting the Incendiary ammunition type and a compatible gun for it as soon as you can. It's possible to create knives with elemental attack too, I'm rocking an incendiary knife at the moment as it can be very handy when dealing with soldiers behind cover or shields. It's also a good idea to get some Bionic Mods crafted/installed, especially to make gathering items easier. Can't remember if it's available from the start or not, but there's one which guarantees enemies will drop an item, and that mod is great when you're trying to collect specific items or just wanting to stock up on meat and fruit etc... I'm going to be using that particular mod in the hunting area a lot more now I reckon, since unlocking... BTW, something that I did struggle to get to grips with was during the initial capture missions and how you need to throw the bombs, so just in-case anyone else finds themselves in the same situation, you need to jump and chuck them directly at the dude that's controlling the vehicle. Took me several failed attempts before I finally twigged. Anyway, glad to see more people are checking this game out.
  13. That’s another game I quite like the look of and is also currently on sale. Staying on my watch list for now though.
  14. Cool. When does the physical version release?
  15. Yeah, I loved messing around with that on Star Fox Command, and Diddy Kong Racing DS too.
  16. Even though I'm not such a fan of the RPG genre I have to admit I was intrigued/tempted by the 3DS version of this, I imagine I'd get much more enjoyment out of creating an RPG than I would from playing one. But as has been mentioned, the lack of fully customisable assets was indeed a deal-breaker. If it's the same story with this version (and unfortunately it's looking like it is ) then I'll have to give it a miss again.
  17. I was browsing the on sale section of the eShop recently and this game caught my eye, did a bit of research and discovered that it's supposed to be like a cross between Metal Slug and Monster Hunter! Anyway, despite it having mixed reviews I decided to give it a try (started playing yesterday) and yeah, really enjoying it so far. It actually does feel a bit like a 2D run and gun version of Monster Hunter! Complete with grinding for materials to forge new weapons and capture missions. Gameplay-wise it's pretty nice (albeit somewhat repetitive) and the pixel art/animation is wonderful. Also (much to my surprise) the game features online co-op, and although it took a while to gather other players, once they had connected it ran perfectly. So yeah, anyone that enjoys either of those games I mentioned above should definitely look into this while it's still on offer, and if you're a fan of both then I'd say it's a no-brainer! Gonna go ahead and mention a few peeps that I reckon might enjoy this: @Hero-of-Time @Glen-i @Dcubed @Ugh first aid @S.C.G @Grazza @Kaepora_Gaebora @Kav @Blade @dazzybee @Mokong @lostmario Not sure if any of you have played it already (I believe the original release was also a PS+ title at some point) but if not, check it out. Also, it would be cool to get some N-E co-op sessions going. Here's the trailer:
  18. That’s it for me. Cheers everyone.
  19. Didn’t see this until now and was confused by Bees.
  20. Why do I always miss the cool Salmon Run sessions that don’t include a charger?
  21. I’m cool with either.
  22. There definitely seems to be less players in Simple Mode, but it’s been that way since the game launched as far as I can tell. Yep, I’ve been playing simple games exclusively since the start of the July tournament, and that matchmaking issue (if you can call it an issue) is the only thing that’s happened to me occasionally as well.
  23. You could be having that same enjoyment every Thursday evening if you joined the N-E League. I know, I know... You’re not interested, but figured I’d mention it again anyway. Glad to hear you’re still getting some fun from the game though, it truly is a multiplayer classic.
  24. Oh my word, the demo has got me so hyped for this!! Lol at there being a microgame where you have to attach Joy-Con to a Switch. I’m still a little annoyed this is exclusive to 3DS (especially with Sushi Striker and Captain Toad being on both) but I now know that once I start playing the full game I’ll have forgotten about that pretty quickly. And it looks like there’s going to be substantial use of the mic in this game too, so that no doubt influenced the decision to keep it 3DS only. Yeah, the game features full voice acting (which is awesome BTW ) and according to the manual there’s even an option to re-dub Wario’s dialogue! The amiibo art thing sounds entertaining as well. This game really is going to be GOLD.
  25. I picked up Super One More Jump recently, great little game. Would definitely recommend it to anyone that's a fan of twitch gameplay/platformers. There's also a demo on the eShop which gives a pretty good taste of the game. It's what sold me on it actually.
