Yeah, it’s a shame though as the concept here is pretty rad.

I’m watching some gameplay on Twitch at the moment... unfortunately it’s looking a bit ropey. Leaning towards picking this up at a later date/when it’s on sale now.
-
Yeah, it almost certainly would've been a better situation for this game had it released earlier, as it's also competing against Fortnite and Paladins now too. Hopefully the game is up to scratch though and therefore can find a decent player base on Switch, alongside the rest of the 3rd person shooters. You buying right away, or waiting for reviews/impressions first? I'm actually kinda tempted to just jump right in.

Launching in a couple of hours time on Switch eShop, this looks like it could be a great laugh. A 4v4 online shooter where dealing damage to an opponent causes your own character's body size to increase, relative to whatever body part you were shooting at on them! If performance holds up (although it looks as if there could potentially be some issues there... 60ish FPS ) then I get a feeling this might be the next big multiplayer thing on Switch, I'm certainly interested in checking it out. Anyone else liking the look of this one?

Can someone post the vid, can’t see it. Yeah, not much of interest for me either. Apart from Morphies Law, that looks hilarious!

My recent Switch eShop activity... Cat Quest. Thoroughly enjoyable and super addictive RPG, real-time combat makes all the difference for me when it comes to this genre. Didn't take long for me to finish the main game (including all side quests) but then, I couldn't stop playing the damn thing! The Adventure Pals. Another one of those "caught my eye games" when checking out what was on sale. Turned out to be an entertaining (not to mention completely bonkers ) platformer with quite a bit of content to boot. Slightly rough in places, but overall a pretty nice game. Ninja Striker! Yep, the elusive Ninja Striker, the game that disappeared from the European eShop inexplicably (preventing me from purchasing it earlier) is now available again and part of the current sale, so I decided to snap it up! It's a fun combo based action game with simple controls making it perfect for quick pick up and play sessions, the visual and musical style reminds me of the Mystical Ninja series too, which is a big plus. And finally, last night I started playing TumbleSeed. Love what I've played of it so far, it manages to be both brutally difficult and somehow unbelievably relaxing at the same time! Not experienced anything quite like that before in a game, so yeah, very interesting indeed. The soundtrack is at times very similar to that of The Tomorrow Children (same composer) which is awesome, but also makes me a bit sad remembering that wonderful game which was so cruelly taken away from us. Anyway, been having a lot of fun with download titles at the moment. While discounts may be few and far between on Nintendo's own games (not to mention stingy as hell ) I am thankful for all the decent savings to be made on the large variety of indie games in the eShop instead. There are still a few more which are part of the summer sale that I want to pick up too, will probably get Bomb Chicken next.

Doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen, so I’m gonna do some random games and call it a day.

I can play a few more games. *edit* Not sure who just joined there, didn’t set a password. Anyway, 1 space left.

I swear some of these teams are hackers...

No probs. Will no doubt be playing something else on Switch from 8, so will just jump over to Splatoon once the notification that you or UFA are online pops up.
-
It would indeed. I don’t mind either way though.
-
That’s cool. Will only be on till around 10pm though.
-
I be on Team Relax as well, what time are you two planning on playing?
-
Yeah, but the demo Prowler is so unbelievably useless (even more so for me, as I'm so used to my ludicrously OP boomerang cat on 3DS ) that I had to revert to using Hammer. Definitely. The way it's setup now is almost as if it's been specifically designed to put people off! I mean they could at the very least have the gear change/upgrade depending on the monster you choose to hunt, even that slight modification would make the demo more true to the experience of the full game.
-
Are you on about the move where he disappears and then suddenly lands on you out of nowhere, taking 90% of your health bar in the process? Because if so, it’s not that easy to avoid, not for me at least. And I sure as hell am not surprised at anyone getting KO’d by it, especially newcomers to the MH series! To be honest I find these demos to be kind of annoying, I mean they give you such crap armour/weapons that even hunting the easy monster takes ages. Let alone crazy jet plane thing! I bet it puts more people off the game than making them want to buy it, and it certainly isn't indicative of how things play out in the full game either, I mean nobody will be taking on the intermediate or advanced monsters with that kind of gear.

OK, last game for me.
-
LOL. That was hilarious.

Brilliant!

The latest reward on My Nintendo might be of interest to some of you: https://my.nintendo.com/rewards/53a28d0dea0d3175

Such a shame. I really love the style/vibe they were going for with this game.
-
Excellent choice, N-E.

I'd be up for Salmon Run. Still need to get this month's exclusive item.
-
Yeah, those gave me a good laugh too. And seeing as I’ve never used the new 3DS or 2DS I genuinely had no idea where the stylus or power buttons were located on them!

I think it just feels really short if you’ve played the rest of the series, as although there are over 300 microgames in Gold, only 50 are brand new. Previous experience with WarioWare, Inc., Twisted and Touched also makes it much quicker to get through story mode, as you already know what to expect for the majority of games, so there’s basically no trial and error involved. Hell, I didn’t even know about the coin continue system as the option never appeared for me! What playtime have got on your activity log? I’m at around 25 hours, which already puts WarioWare Gold in 40th place for total time played on my 3DS, above stuff like Super Mario 3D Land and Kirby Planet Robobot. So yeah, I certainly wouldn’t say it’s really short, but rather that the more WarioWare titles you’ve already played, the shorter WarioWare Gold will probably feel. Also... time flies when you’re having fun!

Indeed. Absolutely stunning visuals on this! Seems pretty fun too, if Smash wasn’t around the corner I probably would’ve checked it out, but yeah... a shame about the timing.
