  1. It looks as if the border situation has gotten even worse with the SP games. Yep, there seems to be a gigantic bright red (totally not distracting ) SP label in the top right corner of the screen when playing those!
  2. Yeah, looks cool! I’ve already chosen team trick, hopefully we can get some N-E games going. I belive you can play without the need for a team of 4 now, since the changes to Splatfest. Why’s that image © 2017?
  3. If nothing new appears this Thursday, then I guess that’s the most likely outcome, yeah.
  4. I was just thinking (hoping ) it'd be updated around the start of each month, like PS+.
  5. I wasn't on this much yesterday, have been slightly distracted from hunting recently: Will try to get online for a few hunts tonight though.
  6. Got my copy on Saturday (good old Simply Games ) have played about 6 hours so far, and have finally reached a point where I can start to explore a bit more. Yeah, the opening hours of this game are very tutorial like, and it kind of forces you along a certain path during that time. The same 2 sections from the demo are a part of that process too, which is slightly annoying. But yeah, now that things have finally opened up a bit it has become even more enjoyable. The story and dialogue are completely ludicrous (as expected ) but the gameplay (the reason I'm playing it in the first place) is top-notch. If there's something the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio know how to deliver, it's excellent combat and insane amounts of variety. And just like the Yakuza titles, this game features great action sequences and is absolutely packed with distractions and mini-games. Hell, if you were to strip away the Fist of the North Star presentation it basically is a Yakuza game! Obviously a super niche game in the West though so I'm guessing not many (if any ) people from here are also playing it. But you know what, it's too late for you...
  7. Anyone know if the new NES games arrive today? I had a quick look earlier on but it was the same set. Perhaps they're going to be sent out with the usual eShop update on Thursday then.
  8. Huge thanks to @S.C.G & @Hero-of-Time for the help with that special permit Yian Garuga quest last night. I’d managed to do the G rank capture, hunt and hunt x2 quests solo, but I’m pretty sure there’s no way I could’ve done that G4 quest on my own, mainly because of Rajang! Was so lucky to get that capture done at the end there (I believe pitfalls only work when he’s in rage mode) as a few more minutes of that onslaught and we would’ve been toast! Anyway, I’m now 1 step closer to the final XX version of my favourite Prowler weapon!:
  9. Try and get me thief cat... Whoa there, buddy!: Hehehe! They also get trapped by the invisible boundary: Just enjoying the view: Prowler vs Marble monster. And Marble wins:
  10. I did a couple of those when I joined H-o-T yesterday, was surprised at the end seeing such a ridiculous amount of charms! One of the randoms was quitting via subquest, but it’s actually really quick for me to also do the main (using Grabby) as I can get 10 coal pretty much instantly and then just warp to base. Anyway, fun session last night. Will have to get some of the vid captures posted in the other thread, including that one where one of those little rolling ball monsters messed me up!
  11. So the new DLC includes the G Rank versions of more Special Permit quests, including Deadeye Yian Garuga! Been wondering how to get hold of that thing for a while now, as I want to go for the maxed out version of its poison weapon. Time to prepare for many an annoying battle against that monster... again. In other MH news, I just hit HR100! Purple name GET!
  12. Does that also mean you won't be doing post-MK Monster Hunter too?
  13. Damn my terrible memory. Think I only forgot on 1 race (Wario’s Gold Mine) but yeah, very nearly did the boost start on more occasions too. It’s actually really difficult to stop yourself from doing it.
  14. No problem. I think you actually might have got those crystals quicker if we hadn’t been killing the monster so fast, as I would have been able to get more steals done with Grabby! Was still managing to get around 2 or 3 each time though (thanks to forbidden acorns) which is pretty good going. That might’ve been my “fault”, you see there’s still quite a lot of players that don’t like hunting alongside Prowlers for some bizarre reason, despite the fact Prowlers are awesome. Yep, pretty sure I’ve used the capture button more with this game already, than everything else I’ve played on Switch combined. It’ll probably stay that way too, at least until Smash Bros. arrives.
  15. Nice comparison vid of all the various ways to play NES titles:
  16. Amazing vid, thanks for posting. My jaw was on the floor throughout. Anyway, I don’t usually watch these kind of vids where someone is just looking at boxes and stuff (unless I’m having trouble sleeping ) but this one caught my eye as it’s about a complete Goemon collection! A series that I’m very fond of indeed, so I decided to check it out: So cool. Quite a few titles I didn’t actually know about too, including that board game. You can really see where things started to go wrong with that horrible change in style on the later games. There’s no doubt that the best entries were the first ones on both SNES and N64. But yeah, that guy seems optimistic that Goemon will return at some point (nothing new since 2005 now! ) I can’t say I share his optimism, but very much hope he’s right.
  17. I’m on the last few stages now (I think) and things have been getting very tricky indeed! The game definitely isn’t short on challenge, that’s for sure.
  18. New content arrives on Friday, including new Event Quests! I’m really into event quests this time. Got all the low rank ones done, most of high rank and a few g rank, but yeah... event quests are great. Speaking of which, there’s one I did the other day that was absolutely hilarious (anyone that’s played earlier MH games should be able to guess what type of event quest it was now ) and I typically don’t read the description before each quest, so it completely took me by surprise. Was playing solo at the time, but will definitely like to replay that one with some of the N-E hunting crew. Also, have any of you lot that are really big fans of Astalos done its dual event quest? You can get some pretty cool gear from it.
  19. Left Captain Falcon in the wrong place.
  20. Ok, got a hub set up, usual password.
