  1. With the hurdle of that G5 Deadeye quest out of the way, I was able to solo (well, my palicoes helped out a little bit ) the Deadeye EX Hunt!: Largest Deadeye too!: A load of pretty decent charms in the rewards as well: Probably best to stick to that coal mining event quest though. Just slightly more efficient.
  2. Thanks again for the help with that one, Mokong! That quest has been annoying me for ages! So glad to finally get it done. And in spectacular fashion too I might add. I almost felt sorry for the 2nd Deadeye!
  3. Yeah, I’ve already archived quite a lot of stuff, Zelda DLC, Mario + Rabbids, the majority of my eShop games... Then again I’m still only using a 32 GB SD card at the moment.
  4. I’m expecting the DLC to include several third party characters, it’s a great way to generate additional hype and get even more people interested in the game post-launch. The Nintendo fanbase is already on-board (and then some ) so it makes more sense to try and expand the audience beyond that. Anyway, I’m now leaning more towards getting the digital version, although it means I will be pretty much completely out of storage space on my Switch/SD card.
  5. I want to believe... Believe me. Will be absolutely amazed if it is included though, having not even been mentioned in the last Direct.
  6. According to the price history on idealo it was at £41.85 in June, then it shot up to around £49. A couple of dips here and there since then, but it’s looking very unlikely that will happen again now. Interesting for the physical and digital pricing to be so close.
  7. Cleared all Village 10★ Quests last night, the final one was absolutely insane! Great feeling when the last monster went down! Unfortunately the reward for clearing all village quests isn’t so great... Anyway, never thought I’d fully complete all village quests in a Monster Hunter game. It’s something I’ve never done before, and will almost certainly never do again! Definitely couldn’t have done it without making use of the data transfer from 3DS, and also using a decent gathering Prowler for all of those damn collecting/delivery quests.
  8. Man, I’m gutted there’s no custom stage building in Ultimate! I know it’s never exactly been a very good tool (far from it actually ) but even so it was one of my favourite things to mess about with in Smash. And some of my most enjoyable multiplayer moments have come from playing on custom stages as well. Yeah, I’m still undecided about how I’m going to get the game. I should be getting a physical copy really, as this breaks my 10GB+ rule. But at the same time there’s also much less of a difference in price between the digital and physical versions, and like you say, the less faffing with swapping games the better for Smash... Maybe I just won’t get it at all, in protest of it not having the stage builder.
  9. I hadn’t read that before, no. Thanks for posting it. Very interesting and entertaining read. Miyamoto just cracks me up, you can tell there were many tea tables getting upended in those days! (laughs)
  10. Ok so I’ve been trying to complete some more of the awards on guild card recently, and one that should be really straightforward (for doing all the item combos) has been proving to be quite tricky due to not being able to find any bloody throwing knives. They would always seem appear in some of the item boxes before I was actually looking for them but now they seem to have disappeared from my game completely! Anyone know of a quest where they’re guaranteed to show up?
  11. The funniest thing about that waste of a Super Horn is that I got messed up by a Spiny Shell not long after. Unnecessary Super Horn attacks are just too tempting though.
  12. *raises paw*
  13. And don’t choose random, just in case that also chooses a track that has already been raced on, right Glen-i?
  14. Cool. I’ll be able to join you at around 9. @S.C.G, you available for some post-MK hunting tonight?
  15. I've had a few attempts at the G5 Deadeye quest now, can make it to the final Yian Garuga (which is absolutely massive! ) but always run out of time. The main problem with that quest is the Silverwind Nargacuga that appears in the early stages of the hunt, while you’re still dealing with the first Garuga. Seriously, at that point the quest becomes an absolute farce! You literally cannot go for more than a few seconds without getting hit by something, it’s borderline impossible. *Note to Capcom: if Nargacuga is offscreen (i.e. not visible to the player) then its projectile attacks shouldn’t cause damage, yeah?* Absolutely evil. But by being cheesy, and farcasting back to base whenever I’m out of acorns to heal and get my Palicoes back, eventually the first Garuga goes down. Then taking out the Nargacuga becomes much more straightforward, as the final Garuga doesn’t appear until that dies. But yeah, by then there just isn’t enough time left. It’s clearly a quest that is specifically designed for multiplayer, I believe the HP of monsters doesn’t scale in G Rank either. But because I’m so stubborn and having gotten so close, I’ve got a feeling I’m going to keep trying to solo it. Sounds like a great set! Are you back to doing key quests now then? I should be about tonight after MK, happy to help you out with those. I’d like to hunt alongside you for the G4 urgent too, that’s such an entertaining quest.
  16. Ah. Yeah, that’s probably not gonna happen then. Cheers for the info though.
  17. Oh man, that was too funny! I’ve never seen a monster so reluctant to go in a trap before, would’ve captured a video, but 30 seconds is nowhere long enough. Seriously, it must have been a good few minutes that we were frantically running around, trying to lure that thing towards the trap! I ended up doing most of my Deadeye Garuga farming solo in the end because of this. Setup a specific hub on several occasions, but never got anyone joining. Took a bit longer obviously, but I finally got the XX gear for my Prowler. It seems I’m unable to transmog it though. Apparently there’s an additional unlock involved for that, but I’ve not been able to find anything about it online. Any idea?
  18. Yeah, I’m not not actually playing it at all, just claiming the daily rewards as I might get into it at some point. Too many other games to play right now though. Will keep sending you gold as long as I’m logging in though.
  19. It looks as if the border situation has gotten even worse with the SP games. Yep, there seems to be a gigantic bright red (totally not distracting ) SP label in the top right corner of the screen when playing those!
  20. Yeah, looks cool! I’ve already chosen team trick, hopefully we can get some N-E games going. I belive you can play without the need for a team of 4 now, since the changes to Splatfest. Why’s that image © 2017?
  21. If nothing new appears this Thursday, then I guess that’s the most likely outcome, yeah.
  22. I was just thinking (hoping ) it'd be updated around the start of each month, like PS+.
  23. I wasn't on this much yesterday, have been slightly distracted from hunting recently: Will try to get online for a few hunts tonight though.
  24. Got my copy on Saturday (good old Simply Games ) have played about 6 hours so far, and have finally reached a point where I can start to explore a bit more. Yeah, the opening hours of this game are very tutorial like, and it kind of forces you along a certain path during that time. The same 2 sections from the demo are a part of that process too, which is slightly annoying. But yeah, now that things have finally opened up a bit it has become even more enjoyable. The story and dialogue are completely ludicrous (as expected ) but the gameplay (the reason I'm playing it in the first place) is top-notch. If there's something the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio know how to deliver, it's excellent combat and insane amounts of variety. And just like the Yakuza titles, this game features great action sequences and is absolutely packed with distractions and mini-games. Hell, if you were to strip away the Fist of the North Star presentation it basically is a Yakuza game! Obviously a super niche game in the West though so I'm guessing not many (if any ) people from here are also playing it. But you know what, it's too late for you...
