I might pop on for a bit of post-MK Smash too. Not played it in over a week! Hopefully I still remember how to be terrible at it.

Did you find the shotgun? Plenty of impact with that thing, perhaps even a bit too much. Oh, and did your PS4 also make a fuss while playing this, or are you one of the lucky people that’s blessed with a quiet system?

Had a go on the demo for this yesterday, shame you only get 30 minutes to play it. I reached the end point in around 20 mins and then jumped back in to explore a bit more for the final 10. Game is stunning, but looks like it’s yet another one of those titles that sends my PS4 into complete meltdown. The fan noise was just insane for the entire duration. Really puts me off from picking up the full game.

Nabbed Out Run... again. I've lost count of how many versions of this game I own now. It's so damn good though, just can't resist it. It's worth it for the soundtrack alone, which keeps growing/improving with each iteration: Absolutely sublime.

Really looking forward to the next Nintendo Direct, which is likely to feature something on Mario Kart Tour (this is due out before March, right?) and hopefully Animal Crossing Switch too!

A news article appeared earlier detailing a bunch of new games that are on sale, including Stardew Valley, which I believe hasn’t been reduced on Switch yet (had it on my watch list for a long time ) but clicking through to the eShop the majority of titles listed are still full price. So it’s either a mistake or they just haven’t activated all of the discounts yet. *EDIT* Or, it’s that I completely misinterpreted the news article in the first place... Pretty cheeky of Nintendo to do that kind of promotion when some of those games were actually cheaper a few hours earlier though. I picked up a few games in the first wave of the sale though, Zen Bound 2, Kero Blaster and Lode Runner Legacy. Enjoying all of those, but especially Kero Blaster which turned out to be so much my cup of tea it’s unreal. Cracking soundtrack too:

Yeah, was sure that would be the funniest Fresh Mii event tonight, but I managed to top it with Jazz’s epic self destruct off a tall building!

Glad to hear you’re enjoying PSVR, @Hero-of-Time. Have you experienced any motion sickness or headaches at all? I seem to recall you didn’t get on with S3D on the 3DS, so wondering if there are any similar issues with PSVR. My only experience of VR is with one of those makeshift smartphone setups, so I’m still interested in checking out proper VR (potentially PSVR) at some point.

Cool. Will try to get a room open at around 8pm. Probably just with the 1 ruleset this time though. Such a shame they screwed that aspect of the online up in this game.

I set that one up as a team game, so me on the red team vs CPU Kirbys (nice and light ) on blue team. Try that, see if it helps. The one that I actually struggled with the most was Ken’s use only special moves to beat 100 fighters. Kept accidentally triggering items or his recovery attacks, was so annoying!

Noticed quite a few people started playing this since Christmas, anymore impressions? Looks like it’s under 20 quid pretty much everywhere now, but I’ve still managed to resist picking up a copy. Will definitely bite at a tenner though. Would be nice to be on the other side of one of these insane price drop bombs for once, as I rarely seem to benefit from them. *remembers buying Chibi-Robo Zip Lash at full price* I really enjoyed that game regardless, but it was still annoying seeing it in the bargain bin so soon.

I’m currently at 882. Got my eye on a few games in the current sale though.

So I’ve played hundreds of online matches now and collected a load of Smash Tags from all over the world in the process, but other than the few games I had with N-E peeps, none of the other players that I’ve encountered online have been from the UK. Seems very strange given how the game is supposed to prioritise connecting to nearby players. Anyway, there plans for some N-E Smash tonight?

Almost done with the challenges now, just 10 to go, all of which are from “Project X Zone 3” that I’m currently about 17 hours into: Unless there’s anything particularly nasty waiting for me in those ones it doesn’t look like I’ll be needing to use any of the hammers too, which I think is a first for me when it comes to the challenges in a Smash Bros. game. As for my main character, it has to be R.O.B.!
