  1. Next time, Tingle... next time.
  2. Best track in the game. I haven’t unlocked them all yet, but am pretty damn sure it won’t make a difference . Got this one earlier: *sniff*... I did 9.9 with R.O.B, and found it to be a lot easier than in the previous games. The biggest challenge in Ultimate (outside of Cruel Smash ) is definitely found in the legendary Spirit battles! Some of those are just nuts. Anyway, still working my way through World of Light, but having unlocked all the characters and done most their classic mode runs, it’s definitely time to start turning my attention more to online play now. Did manage to get some local multiplayer games in the other day, with a friend that used to play quite a bit of Smash up until Brawl. He’s not followed this version though, so was unaware of the fake Smash ball. Needless to say I took full advantage of that situation, with hilarious results! It’s a shame that trick will only work once.
  3. They really are. I think we should try to include them in the league more often.
  4. How about if I hunt with Dino Chav and Co, from 9-10 pm and then @S.C.G, you can join ‘em from 10-11?
  5. Count me in!
  6. Heads up for those with access to the Japanese eShop, there’s a demo available for Dragon Quest Builders 2 now. Have downloaded it, looking forward to checking it out. Really hope they’ve made some improvements to certain aspects of the game since the first one.
  7. Would be good, yeah. Outside of info from the Directs I’ve managed to stay spoiler-free so far. Hopefully there are still some surprises left to enjoy from actually playing the game.
  8. Pre-loaded this yesterday, the icon now sits on my home screen... taunting me. I even ended up getting the fighters pass bundle! Watch every single one of those DLC characters be from Fire Emblem now.
  9. Damn. I look forward to picking this up eventually from the bargain bin. Wonder just how low it’ll go.
  10. God no.
  11. I hadn’t considered that (clearly ) but yeah, you’re right. So cheers for pointing that out, I’ll obviously have to rethink my future gold coin usage.
  12. It’s just one of those things where some people are more susceptible to it than others. I think it probably affects younger players more as well, seeing as they’ve generally had much less exposure to low frame rates than those of us that were playing games in the earlier generations.
  13. And they’re all likely to die a horrible death. Going up against Smash Bros. Ultimate is surely going to wreck the sales of these games. Altough I guess they’ll pick up in the new year. I certainly intend on checking out Katamari and Guacamelee 2 at some point.
  14. True, although I think JC3 might’ve even been a bit better at launch! Pretty sure they somehow managed to mess up certain aspects with the later patches, which is bonkers. TBH the performance issues of that game never really bothered me anyway, well... other than the load times, they were, and I believe still are, horrible. But the fact that the frame rate would absolutely tank during massive explosions was actually something I quite enjoyed! Added to the spectacle.
  15. Same here, and I’ve already settled on the digital version (since upgrading my SD card recently) so I really should. Otherwise I might also be tempted to just order a physical version, if those retailers you mention do indeed start sending out copies early.
  16. Damn. Hope that ain’t the case. Like you say, the Weakness Exploit skill for Prowler hasn’t even been sent out yet. And I’ve been looking forward to that one. Not that I really need it now, but the stronger I can make my Prowler, the funnier. How did this game sell in the end? I’m guessing it probably didn’t set the charts on fire. But even so, that shouldn’t be any reason to deny us of already developed DLC.
  17. I won’t be getting this until sometime next year as it clashes with Smash Bros. Hopefully those issues are being exaggerated, and if not, will be fixed by the time I get around to playing the game. Watched a digital foundry vid on this the other day and they were actually being quite positive about the performance, although I believe it was based on the PC version. I’m sure they’ll have a console analysis video up soon though. I’m most interested in how the standard PS4 runs the game, as that’s how I’ll be playing it.
  18. So did Capcom skip or just forget DLC for November? Was looking in the download section on this the other day and there’s content previews for August, September and October, but nothing else since. I recall there being a website with the DLC schedule for previous games, but can’t seem to find anything for this version. Not that I’ll care in a few days time anyway... but yeah, just curious.
  19. Should be an option to toggle in your wireless router’s settings. Keep in mind however that some devices cannot connect to a 5GHz signal, it’s generally just older/cheaper phones and tablets, although I also realised recently that the PS4 can’t either. Anyway, run the Switch’s internet test while on 2.4GHz wi-fi, take note of the results, and then if you can activate 5GHz, run the test again on that to see the difference. Chances are you’ll get at least double the download speed, and potentially 3 or 4 times more!
  20. Not sure if it’s cool to vote without actually taking part, but if so, I’d obviously vote for #3 and do a favor to you lot that have never played it before. TBH it could be a case of you had to be there (i.e. experienced it back in the day) but having said that, I played through it again a couple of years ago and although it’s difficult for me to be objective when it comes to this game (and the Mystical Ninja franchise in general ) I do believe it still holds up very well indeed. As do all of the titles in @S.C.G’s selection actually. So yeah, you’re in for a good time no matter what gets picked.
  21. It’s possible to alleviate the problem in some less severe cases by using compressed air (have done this a few times with mine) but once they’re really knackered then the only options are to get the sticks replaced, or purchase new Joy-Con. I used my launch day Joy-Cons exclusively up until recently, when I purchased an 8bitdo adapter. Now I have the option of using many other controllers on my Switch, including the Wii U Pro and DS4 (both of which have awesome analog sticks ). Also got my GCN adapter hooked up and ready for Smash Bros., so yeah, will probably be using the Joy-Con only when playing in portable mode from now on. Would be annoying if I had to continue using them as my main docked controller option too though.
  22. I like how the online co-op mode can be played with traditional controls now. Had a few goes on it yesterday and unlocked Blue Yoshi. Teaming up with randoms can be interesting though... as always. In one of the games a player decided not to serve the ball when their turn came around, so it was just 30 seconds of the rest of us taunting them until the inevitable disconnection. Anyway, it’s nice to see this game getting more updates.
