Made it to 2nd place in a game: My heart rate was off the charts! Never thought I'd get so hyped playing Tetris. This game.

Don’t think there is a general bargains thread anymore, we have one for Switch though:

Hey Locky, I remember you and your amazing bargain hunting skills (pretty sure that David Dickinson avatar was my doing too ) welcome back!

Hahaha! Classic room title/music. -
I seem to be getting progressively worse at Mario Kart. Some hilarious moments tonight though, including some ludicrous attacks on @Glen-i!

No. Must. Play. Tetris... -
Oh. That was good then. Yeah, totally get what you mean. I’d blatantly have been continuing my playthrough of Nioh tonight, or Cave Story, Pool Panic etc... Instead I’m just glued to this! I mean the novelty will obviously wear off, but right now... “one more game”

Been looking through my stats, what the hell is a T-Spin Mini? I’ve done 1 apparently, whatever it is.

Just made it into the final 10. Holy crap! It moves way too fast for my old eyeballs. Managed 6th place, pretty happy with that. Don’t think I’ll ever be winning the “100 platinum coins” prize though.

And the award for most pointless segment of the Nintendo Direct goes to... I do wonder what the hell they're going to add to Ver. 3.0 though. Still hoping it's this:

Indeed. I also think releasing after Super Mario Maker 2 isn't going to do it any favours either. Well, I'm certainly less interested in it now.

It'll probably happen. This is obviously part of their plan to try and make the service more appealing, so I'm pretty confident there will be more of these smaller (online focused) titles in the future. Hope so anyway.

Tell me about it. I almost had a heart attack at that point! Then I realised it was still 2D (yes, I really did think they were giving us a 3D editor for a split second there ) so luckily I didn't pass out. Well, not really much for me to say about this other than I'm very happy to see Mario Maker on Switch. Would've been fine with just a port, but a sequel is even better! Looks like they're well aware of what people wanted to see in it too, with that focus on slopes in the trailer. Also love how this version seems to be getting some proper enemy path and camera controls, brilliant stuff!

This is bloody awesome! Started playing it last night and really struggled to stop. "one more game... one more game... one more game..." Killer app for Nintendo's crappy online subscription right here, for some people at least. And man, the hype when you get in the final 50! Love it.

Hehehe! Same here, I instantly thought Monolith Soft, then switched to Ryu ga Gotoku Studio for a bit, then back to Monolith... I was actually very surprised by it being Platinum (even though in hindsight it was so damn obvious ) as I knew they'd have their hands full with Bayonetta 3! Apparently not. Anyway, this looks amazing and I need it.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening REMAKE — 20th September 2019
RedShell replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It's a shame that some people aren't digging the look of this game, especially those that are fans of the GB version. Personally, I adore the art style and think it looks absolutely beautiful! I really love it when this type of realistic rendering is applied to fantasy design, it's one of the reasons why I was so captivated with The Tomorrow Children, not that this is on that sort of level from a technical standpoint (what that game was doing with lighting tech was quite frankly insane ) but the end result is kind of similar, in that it appears like a world made of toys has actually come to life! I also have very fond memories of playing Link's Awakening on the original brick Game Boy back in the day, and it has always been one of my favourite Zelda games. So yeah, very much looking forward to experiencing it again with this incredibly gorgeous remake. Guessing this will be a Christmas time release, but if it's any sooner then that's fine with me. -
That has to be the best start and finish to a Nintendo Direct ever! OK, some of the stuff in between was pretty good too. But yeah, Super Mario Maker 2 and the Link's Awakening remake just look absolutely incredible! Super happy right now.

My doggie is ready! Please don’t be mainly about Fire Emblem though...
