  1. Some new stages I've made: That DK themed one can absolutely tank the frame rate! (Nintendo clearly didn't anticipate my craziness ) Can't wait to try it online!
  2. It’s not possible to make square pixels that match the editors grid, as they’re too small and therefore won’t be drawn. So for the Baby Face (and anything that requires pixel art) I just double the size of each pixel, which is then 4 squares on the grid. There’s no difference whichever layer you work on, they all handle the same. Also if you ever draw something on the wrong one, it’s possible to move it between the layers, which is a very handy feature. For me it’s definitely better to use the touch screen. Oh and don’t worry about straight lines, when the grid is enabled (- button) they’re easily done. I believe you can also toggle a straight line option with the shoulder buttons too. Looking forward to seeing your stages!
  3. @Glen-i, I'm not sure why, but you always seem to be involved in the most entertaining Smash Bros. moments. Here's my new favourite from last night's insanity: Joker's "recovery" pleases Baby Face immensely. Not sure if anyone noticed (it was hard to keep track of everything that was going on ) but it is actually still possible to grab that ledge and recover, you need to not try though. So yeah, up B won't work.
  4. Guilty. Anyway, that’s it for me. Cheers for the games everyone!
  5. They’re great, super imaginative. This is so much fun, it’s just a shame the character/stage selection process is so crappy on battle arena.
  6. Piranha Plant’s final smash on the small stages!!
  7. Where do you get your stage ID from? Anyway, I’ve uploaded 2. A remake of Great Smash Ball, and something else... Glen-i, the new Great Smash Ball doesn’t play quite like the original I’m afraid, but on the plus side it’s now compatible with 8 player mode! So, custom stage N-E Smash session tonight?
  8. Some seem to think it's releasing at midnight in Japan, which would be 4pm today UK time. But Sakurai tweeted that it would go live in the afternoon over there, in which case it'll be 4/5am for the UK/Europe. Here's hoping they just chuck it out there at midnight though and we do get it this afternoon. I mean it's all ready to roll, so let us have it! I really want to start working on custom stages tonight.
  9. So hyped!
  10. That's a good point. This could potentially mean great things for the standard experience too. I suppose we should keep expectations low (in which case a resolution increase is probably more likely) but if they could up the frame rate, that would be amazing. 100FPS+ might be a bit of a stretch but closer to 60 (or even just a more stable 30) would certainly be nice.
  11. Shame it's only stills. I am sooo curious as to how BotW is going to run in VR. Given how the game performs normally I still can't believe it's actually going to be possible! But yeah, if they pull it off, then Nintendo's wizardry clearly knows no bounds! Has anyone else built/played with the Toy-Con Blaster yet?
  12. My word, how time flies. Loved the GameCube. Can't remember the specifics from launch day now, but I'm pretty sure I got it with Luigi's Mansion and Wave Race. Might have got Star Wars at launch too actually... well, it's in my GCN collection anyway, which also includes 2 sets of DK Bongos (Donkey Konga & Jungle Beat), the GameBoy Player and a GBA link cable. I got quite a lot of use out of the link cable, thanks to Four Sword Adventures, Pac-Man Vs., Mario Golf and Animal Crossing. I definitely remember the day I bought and first played Animal Crossing! I got the Australian PAL version, as it was massively delayed in Europe (remember the days of that malarkey? ) and was pretty much glued to it from that point on. Shame there's no activity log on the GameCube, would be interesting to see how many hours I played AC for, and the rest of my GCN library of course. These days my GameCube is all boxed up and in storage, but the controllers are still out and about (for the odd local multiplayer game of Smash Bros. Ultimate ) and I ripped the majority of my game collection a few years ago for use on the Dolphin Emulator. But yeah... great system, fantastic games and good times.
  13. Annoying. Hopefully they won't repeat this kind of mistake with any future games at least.
  14. That was a pretty cool vid @BowserBasher, thanks. And yeah, hopefully more Labo friendly YouTube vids will start to appear. I found a channel that has 3D vids of PSVR games where the 3D works well with the Labo goggles, but some of them made me feel a bit motion sick! If you fancy checking them out though: BTW, not sure if anyone else encountered this problem, but the My Nintendo gold point rewards were not working correctly for Labo VR, something to do with the carts having the incorrect region code or something. Anyway, that issue appears to have been resolved now, so if anyone was unable to claim their gold coins before, give it another go.
  15. Hold the phone! So Splatoon 2 data can be transferred? That's cool then, as I was certain I'd just be losing my save data for it whenever the Switch hardware revisions arrive. But if they're now allowing this previously unmovable save data to be transferred, why not just enable the cloud backup?
  16. OMG! The Toy-Con Blaster is an absolute riot! It's no wonder Nintendo chose it for the VR Starter Kit, best Toy-Con of the entire Labo series so far I reckon. It features actual reload and firing mechanisms (powered by elastic bands ) which produce a super satisfying click and "recoil" effect every time you use it. The feedback feels great and syncs up perfectly with the in-game gun. It's just so much fun! The main blaster game is also pretty intense, with many targets to take out and limited time to do so. Luckily the slo-mo feature of the Toy-Con Blaster is very handy for setting up multiple shots. This is easily the most fun I've ever had playing Labo.
  17. I’d be up for that.
  18. Cool! Might have to actually download YouTube for Switch now. *EDIT* @Dcubed, just been checking this out. It’s cool that it works, but most of the vids I saw were unwatchable! Waaaay too much separation on the 3D so it just makes everything look like you’ve got double vision! Funnily enough the Virtual Boy vids are much better. And yeah, they look great compared to the Labo vid. Any good non-Virtual Boy 3D YouTube vids that you’d recommend?
  19. @Glen-i & @Ugh first aid some clips from last night: "Proof" that a Prowler is equal to 2 hunters!: Bit windy here isn't it?: I'll be with you in a second, Dino Chav: Why have you two stopped moving?...Oh.:
  20. Hehehe! It made for a great video moment at least, will post tomorrow. Thanks for playing!
  21. Look who I found*: *made. Oh man, it's even more terrifying in VR! Nintendo, take note, Baby Face is the perfect character for your entry into the VR horror market.
  22. Super Mario Kart F-Zero The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Pilotwings The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
