Little Mac on my Birdo stage... I swear this game is going to kill me. That Sudden Death with Luigi was classic too, broke the camera! -

We playing tonight? -
I've got @Glen-i so spooked about backwards Red Shells now, that he takes pre-emptive evasive manoeuvres at the mere sight of one!:
-
This looks incredible! I am quite concerned about how it will perform on a standard PS4 though, namely my standard PS4 and its super hyperactive fans. But yeah, as someone who's never been a huge fan of Metal Gear or stealth gameplay mechanics in general, MGSV really changed my opinion of both (absolutely loved that game) and this seems to be similar from a gameplay perspective... I think, it's difficult to tell. Anyway, even if it's not as entertaining to play as MGSV was, there's no doubt the rest of what's going on (whatever the hell that may be ) will probably be my cup of tea.

Fair enough. Don’t agree though, I mean it’s an established tactic of the MH series. It works both ways too, with monsters doing increased damage to hunters that are asleep. So yeah, makes sense to use it. When you’ve got literally everyone putting down multiple bombs+ and then crafting more mid-hunt for the next sleep, that’s somewhat OTT/cheap, but having just one hunter setting the odd bomb is pretty standard I reckon.
-
Good hunting once again everyone. Although the sleep bombing technique still needs some serious work. I felt sorry for Dino Chav yesterday, who was trying his best to get bombs set up before the monsters were woken up, but not having much luck. Here's a handy Pro Tip: Anyway, enjoy a few MH moments... Sometimes, the camera is positioned absolutely perfectly: Stand still Dino Chav!: Nice try: Will link the rest: Bullfango meets Mega Boomerang! Great Maccao meets Mega Boomerang! Post-hunt shenanigans.

I can hunt from around 8pm. Let me know if a space opens up and you need cat assistance.
-
Sure thing, will send it your way next time we hunt. There is one downside to finally having this skill for me though that I forgot to mention before, and that's having to lose Earplugs (in most cases) to be able to use it. I've gotten so used to that skill and not having to worry about monster roars for such a long time now, that suddenly having roars be a threat again is kind of annoying. Need to practice blocking/dodging them really.

I encountered a very cool cat online yesterday, literally. A Prowler main who somehow had the Weakness Exploit skill! You know, the one that was supposed to be DLC, but Capcom decided to not release it because they're total dicks when it comes to the Switch and its userbase. Anyway, this person kindly sent over their Palico for me, so I too now have the elusive skill! A random does what Capcom don't. No idea how this person got the skill, if it was transferred from a Japanese player (were the DLC did get released) or hacked, but I'm not fussed either way, just glad to finally have it myself. Took it for a test drive against some Special Permit monsters, and chunks were soon flying off them! Finally, my perfect hunting Prowlers are all powered up. Figured it'd be funny to test a maxed Prowler against something low rank too for a laugh, and it was. Don't even need to use my main attack/weapon, a couple of well aimed Mega Boomerangs is all it takes! In other hunting news, I have also managed to obtain the XX version weapon of Nightcloak Malfestio, this thing can have monsters falling asleep a lot which is then great for hitting them with 2x the power Mega Boomerangs or bombs to "wake them up".

Easy nomination stage for me with this one. Warioware, Inc.: Mega Microgames! Warioware: Twisted Rhythm Tengoku Wario Land 4 Mario Kart: Super Circuit -
I might be able to join too. Last time I played this I was testing out new Bomb/Heal type cats, so would be good to see how they perform online. It turns out that the bomb cat can rival (or even surpass) boomerang cat for damage output, but it's a very tricky type to learn, not to mention use well, especially alongside other hunters. But I'm sure my N-E hunting companions won't mind the occasional explosive accident, right? Anyway, let us know what time you're planning to hunt.

Cheers. I really love making custom stages, knowing that they provide surprise and laughter is the icing on the custom stage cake. There will no doubt be many more to come, well, until Super Mario Maker 2 arrives or I run out of ideas, whichever happens first.

New stages are up. This one is based on the N-E hunters that I have the highest unity levels with on Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (@Glen-i, @S.C.G & @Ugh first aid) plus me in Prowler form. Unfortunately the limitations of the stage builder didn't permit me to do this exactly as I'd planned, so I had to cut back the detail quite a bit on everyone but "Dino Chav" who I drew first. Also, S.C.G's look is a bit out of date, but your new armour didn't update on the guild card (what I was obviously using for a reference) so sorry about that. Next up, Spaaaaaaaace Channel 5!: Pretty proud of this one, it features a character that I'd still love to see in Smash, Ulala! Managed to get the SC5 logo in there as the main part of the stage, Ulala's platform ship (which is a good item collecting spot) and a couple of Morolians in the background too. Groovy! OK, the stage is set, Sakurai... feel free to release Ulala now.

Absolutely cracking session last night everyone. I played way past my bedtime though, which I'm regretting today. @Glen-i, that unexpected moment on my Bayonetta stage when we both fell through her shoe at the same time was just beautiful. I also enjoyed Little Mac's struggle to climb Dino Chav. Look forward to the highlights! -

What's the rule set for post-MK Smash tonight, @Glen-i? Got some new stages to test. -
No problem

What I am liking the look of with this (and still hoping it’ll feature in the next main MK game) is the MK Arcade style popup, showing who you hit/whoever hit you. Sure this already happens in battle mode, but just as boring text. Having the character picture show up and also during actual races is so much better. Plus, I’m sure there are some occasions in the N-E League when you’re not exactly certain who threw a Red Shell backwards at you and this type of notification could solve that.

Can't be arsed dealing with any of that stuff at all though, so much so that I'd rather just not keep up with what's going on in the industry. Anything big that goes down (or rather, anything I'm especially interested in) like new game announcements, Nintendo Directs etc. will no doubt be posted here anyway, and I'm cool with finding out about something a bit later in order to retain my sanity. It's fine for anyone that's into all/most of that list, sure. But my version looks more like this: - Mario Maker 2 - Link's Awakening - Animal Crossing - Tetris 99 Although I'm quite likely to also get Astral Chain (need to see more of it though). Luigi's Mansion 3 and Pokémon are a possibility too, but that still almost cuts the list in half. Plus, we can't actually be certain of some of those games making 2019... I really hope not, but Animal Crossing could easily be delayed to 2020. Indeed. Several surprise announcements at E3 would be a good start.
-
It doesn’t take much though does it? I haven’t visited that place in months now, and have no intention of ever doing so again. Absolute shithole of a forum. Anyway, I agree with the muppet no idea what’s going on inside Nintendo... Definitely expected much much more from them on the Switch. It doesn’t have to be big titles either, just more frequent releases of smaller eShop stuff (like Tetris 99) would make a big difference.

WTF!? Portrait? Something had to go wrong with this I guess.
