  1. Sigh. Got some pains in my left arm, seems to be coming from where the biceps joins the elbow: "distal biceps tendon". I noticed it when I carried my young one around, I usually have him on my left arm and it started hurting a month ago. Now, adding a bit more regular pull-ups and perhaps not warming up as much as I should, I feel it a bit more. So I'll be taking a break from pulling too much the next month. Yay!
  2. I'm watching You season 3 and I must say that I think it's still rather enjoyable. This season is a nice change of pace with enough new elements and drama to keep it interesting. I'm 6 episodes in, and things are going well and stay interesting. I'm watching it with my wife (she started it) and she enjoys it as well (i.e. she doesn't fall asleep immediately to it).
  3. So I've defeated final boss four times now, twice with the shield, once with the spear and once with the bow now. A run still takes about 40 minutes for me to complete - a friend of mine does them in 20 minutes and I don't understand how we can be so far apart in that regard! His first runs were about 30-35 minutes so still quite substantial difference.
  4. Switch Online Super Expansion Pack Plus+
  5. I don't think they'll reach the goal of 24 million Switches before March. There isn't really any system sellers on the horison, except perhaps Pokémon Legends Arceus.
  6. I didn't watch any interview or much of the trailers and still wasn't surprised by the powerups. Weren't they pretty much the usual suspects when it comes to Metroid? I agree with the controls, I fumbled with them right until the very end and dreaded for GB puzzles. Luckily, it as well as a bunch of other stuff wasnt really used that much.
  7. Launch trailer: Reviews: IGN – 8 / 10 GameSpot – 6 / 10 Game Informer – 8 / 10 Metro – 8 / 10 Gamereactor – 8 / 10 GameXplain – “Loved”
  8. If it helps, there's ways you can get those other services much cheaper if you look around. Disney+ I've never actually paid for; you can basically continuously get this is a free add on if you're on O2. Danish citizen here. But yeah, getting it for a year at a time gives a nice discount. We get streaming services with our phone subscription as well (though not for free).
  9. That may be true. But I've got Disney+, Netflix and HBO Max as well as some local ones. I may go for Prime when The Boys season 3 lands, hopefully this will then also be airing.
  10. Yeah, that looks really good. Such a shame that this is on Amazon Prime. There's just too many streaming services to subscribe to these days.
  11. Haha, that's awesome. Didn't expect it to land next year, thought it was more ... beyond next year? Looks like one to watch with my son when it comes out.
  12. Wow, that looks great. Will definitely get that at some point!
  13. Perhaps not that bad but I was certainly at a point where the game needed me to win - I couldn't unlock more as everything just required enormous amounts of materials so it was getting a bit frustrating.
  14. New smartphone game from Niantic is rolling out today!
  15. 24 attempts and finally got through it the first time. I feel like I'm terrible at this game. It took me 49 minutes. Used the Shield with Aspect of Zeus. Now we'll see if I want to go through it again or call it a game.
  16. Why arent A and B put in the middle of the button?? Edit: Seems that this is a feature, not a bug. I've helt an N64 controller for hundreds of hours but never noticed that.
  17. I've been going back to the office a bit more regularly now, twice a week, which makes it possible for me to hit the heavier weights a bit more often (as well as biking 11 km each way). Usually I've been doing back squats in sets of 10s and landed on about 70 kg but wanted to go a little heavier yesterday so went for sets of 6. At 80 kg I just couldn't do anymore than 5 reps, though. That's well below what I would have expected since that was relatively easy for me a couple of years ago. Oh well. But I am a bit surprised at me being able to do 10*70 kg but only 5*80 kg! Besides squats, I also try to do as many pull-ups as I can muster in the time I'm in the gym (about 25 minutes). I can't do that at home at all.
  18. Apparently, there are problems with the N64 emulation according to ResetEra. Input lag, laggy framerate, audio lag, and weird controller layout when not using the N64 controller.
  19. I think it looks like a fun action movie but then again, I like Tom Holland, and I the Uncharted-series is uncharted to me. Haven't played any of the games and don't know anything about them.
  20. Never got that to work for me. Was fearing a plethora of swinging puzzles after meeting the first place that had swingen sections.
  21. Yes. Bar Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (a remake), this is actually the first Nintendo game I've got since Paper Mario: The Origami King (July 2020!).
  22. And done. 11 hours, 39 minutes. Quite a decent game, I had fun most of the time and even though better Metroidvania games have been released, this is still really solid. Story is a bit weak as a stand alone game, it could explain a bit more or be served go you in a better way. A lot of the time you don't interact with the story at all. I did find the "puzzles" (if you can even call them that) quite weak and rather boring. It all came down to fast reflexes and quick fingers which is fine but more variation is appreciated, especially since the controls are complicated and I often just hit the wrong button - that's totally on me but still, not that fun to spend time on. Furthermore, the final upgrade was rather useless, only used about once to actually progress. I'm torn between 8 or 9 on this. I'll have to think more about it, I think.
