  1. I don't see any bugs, its a nice, minimalistic, clean web design - although somewhat empty and not hugely unique. A nice use of stock (I assume) photography.
  2. The Nintendo-On was a hoax for what the revolution's 'revolutionary control system' might be. Some conspiracy theorists still think it might be the real revolution.
  3. I'm downloading the demo now, but its 662.2 MB and at 190kbps its going to take a bit...
  4. Smallville signature. Plain type fonts. I like you a lot.
  5. I used to have a sony ericsson k700i, it was great and I was the only one who had it because I got it on contract. Then everyone got one, the charger broke and I moved out here and left it in England.
  6. I believe it's a sardonic mocking of the title for a page of 'writing' mispelt. But lets face it, that's funny.
  7. Happy Birthday Jo. Whats it like to get old? ok that was low, I'm bitter because no one made me a birthday thread
  8. I had to fight the urge to buy a spice orange wired and a platinum wavebird from ebgames. They weren't too expensive but I doubt they'll ever even get used....
  9. Its shown over here but the commercials didnt look that great... I think TiVo's suggestions taped it for me though so I'll give it a look.
  10. Stopped playing this game after it pissed me off by wiping my character for the 4th time.
  11. Well I believe about 7 million people bought Windows XP within weeks of its launch....
  12. With mac's incompatibility with most games, what would we do to play PC games? Microsoft knows that Windows XP is the number one OS for gamers, they're not going to piss off a huge chunk of their potential end users.
  13. I never paid Family Guy much attention until I came over to the states, now I absolutely love it. It gives me the repeated 'laugh out louds' that I used to get from every early episode of Simpsons before they started showing repeats for the 500th time and running out of good humour in the newer episodes.
  14. Thats just the point though, I don't think any of them do really complain. The same as no African American person has ever complained that blackboards are called blackboards - and no caucasian person has ever resented being called 'white'. All these politically correct phrases are thought up by unrelated third parties without the person they think is being offended even caring.
  15. It all looks awesome but I think they completely ruined their own plausibility with the F-Zero idea, it just wouldn't work like that, who would hold a rectangle steering wheel straight like that?
  16. For some reason I never even paid attention to the eyes... I was going to suggest you stretched the forehead but I didn't know if that was you so I didn't want to insult :p
  17. I've seen it, I... got hold of it recently. I love it, especially as a big fan of the game. I would've preferred it though if they had used more materia. I've not followed fan reactions, so thats probably the one thing that so many people have said that its attributed to being a noob thing to say - but thats simply something I feel would've made it better. I didn't really find the story confusing, but maybe that's because I played the playstation game through enough times to finally understand it. I recently rewatched Trigun. Who else loves Trigun, I mean, c'mon, I wanna see some raised hands. One of my favourite parts about it is the wholesome ending, this is no Lain, no Evangelion - the ending makes sense and doesn't leave you hanging. I didn't want a show like Trigun to end with optional speculation and dripping questions - I wanted to know what happened and see it fulfilled in action packed sequences, and thats what I got
  18. Very cool, I would suggest a few things to make it look better overall... Firstly show a bit more around the eye, then up the contrast a little so it looks less like it was taken with a non-professional camera. Use a weak smudge to soften out the skin lines and add a white overlay to the whites of your eyes erasing the edges whilst zoomed well in. Use photoshop's smart heal on any skin blemishes. For adding the red, in photoshop, I would surround the original colour with the lasso tool and desaturate it, then add the red to a new layer and browse the blending options for that layer, 'overlay' would probably work but another option might provide some cool results A long time ago I messed with my own eye for a msn display picture - and it came out like this...
  19. Did you add the piercing?
  20. 3.5 years-ish for me. That's scary. Congrats Falco... I'm going to... go plant a tree or something.
  21. Ahem, not to disappoint. Ah Superman, my geeky achilles heel, where would I be without you? Probably a 'cooler' person, but who cares. I for one am particularly excited about the 'Return' of Superman. Yes, like many fans I would rather have seen a re-imagining of the Superman tale. Every Superhero's story has arrived in a time in which big name studios can do them justice. Sure, they've screwed it up a few times, Hulk, Daredevil... Elektra - but gems such as Spider-man and X-Men have shown us that comics can finally get their just presentation. However I trust Bryan Singer, for the most part I love his work and hope that he pulls through with the tale of Superman's Return from years away. I've been following the movie for some time. The teaser trailer, which first aired nearly a month ago now, along with blogs recorded by Singer's team himself (currently 27 in total all available here) have battered down my feeble attempts to try and avoid spoilers. I am a big Superman fan, collector of trade paperbacks, dvds and follower even of Smallville. I too have had my doubts about the costume - but of late have been somewhat more hopeful. The 'S' shield, famously large and bold was reduced to look 'modern', even given the dreaded 'bevel' effect - I hated it at first. Especially in that first picture we were given. But now its grown on me, even the high neck and the repetition of the 'S' on the belt no longer annoys me. A confidence mostly owed to this picture: Which I quite frankly think is fantastic. As for the casting of Brandon Routh, I'm entirely reserved about that. Christopher Reeve was once an unknown too. He donned the silkscreen, skyblue spandex with little behind his name and became, with little effort, the Superman. I hold out hope that Routh (which incidentally rhymes with 'mouth', not 'tooth') was selected not only for his startling resemblance to the late Mr. Reeve, but for his presence as an actor too. Because thats what Superman has to be. He has to be confident, awe inspiring and entirely definitive. He has to be more than tights, but a figure that the world looks up to. Superman is often unpopular because of his lack of weaknesses - but any fan will tell you his biggest weakness is his impossible mixture of moral determination... and his limits. Superman can't be everywhere at once, he can't always save every single life, he can't always move fast enough. If you read the incredible climax to Alex Ross' 'Kingdom Come', you'll understand perfectly. If Singer can find a way to immortalise this side of the character, whilst still keeping his promise of providing a lighthearted, romantic homage to the man behind the red underpants, I'm certainly going to love Superman Returns </shorty's geek-out of the year>
  22. I wasn't going to waste my time getting this until I watched the trailer, and its actually a pretty fun game Needs some serious tweaking, for one the controls are stupid (use arrow keys and mouse to move and fire respectively, but space to jump??) and the melee attack only works half the time - but a great effort and it looks great.
  23. Can you really imagine this being their final big secret. Full library backwards compatibility! Completely unique controller style! Displacement mapping... I don't think so
  24. Ah yeah but I was referring to the aforementioned 'team' - which I assumed just included the X-Men.

That looks pretty awesome I hope they come up with an 'impossible mission' to rival the first, as the second wasn't nearly as memorable. Nearly all the MI action scenes have been great though, so even though Woo isn't returning I hope this one keeps up that trend
