  1. I think Supernatural gets a little better after the Pilot tbh. It's not always a scare-fest though so don't look to it for horror, you might end up disappointed, look to it for mystery, suspense and action The problem with the Pilot was that it moved from a season opener, starting off the leading arc, into a monster-of-the-week style episode, which was odd. I've also been watching American Dad lately. It's like Family Guy but even more controversial. Hilarious
  2. I'd help if I weren't far too lazy. Just out of curiousity... why press-continue instead of press-start?
  3. I don't understand you people trying to show-off with apathy and humour. Someone died, a young person is actually dead.... I don't know who you think you're impressing but it must only be each other, because I think you're seriously sick in the head.
  4. Honestly I can't think of any n64 game, except maybe the Mickey Mouse racing games, that don't soar above Kameo. I found Kameo to be a basic repetitive beat-em-up style game. It was just smash, bash, repeat - and the worlds were nowhere near as awe inspiring as they were in the Banjo games. It's not so much that I think it's a bad game, I just think that it doesn't meet Rare's very high standards nor does really show its many years of developement.
  5. Really tragic And also terrible that it was so grossly misreported, once again to make the internet and the average video-gamer look bad. It's the same as pinning high-school shootings on Grand Theft Auto, always looking for something to blame. I've been pretty miserable in the past and thought about suicide but only really briefly, honestly I'm far too scared of death and don't think I would ever go through with it. If life really gets you down I think your best bet is to let go of the way things are and try to start something new. As my avatar based friend over here once said, "Your ticket to the future is always blank."
  6. This may be subjective, but you might find it easier later if you don't shade your lineart.
  7. I have a bunch of NES-era Super Mario Bros. merchandise, notebooks, pencil cases, pencils, mugs - that kind of thing, but I can't think of anything else.
  8. I can't believe I missed out Supernatural - co-starring Jensen Ackles who played a large part in Season 4 of Smallville, this became one of my favourite shows very quickly. For those of you who know nothing about it, it's a story of two brothers who travel accross country vaguely in search of their father, and fighting spirits, demons and ghosts etc.. The show almost let itself down a couple of times by blatantly ripping off a few movies - for example there's a scene where a girl in a dirty white robe with long black messy hair over her face crawls jerkily out of a mirror, it almost looks like they stole actual footage from "The Ring" and super-imposed it onto their own show. However I heard somewhere that this is done intentionally as a tribute... so I let them off. I think the show's coming to England soon, it's genuinely scary in places for a TV show, and well written. I love the overall style too, they use a very specific colour pallette constantly, faded browns, khakis and blacks with high contrast lighting, its very indie looking.
  9. I missed them because I wasn't really interested, I think I'll download them. I also believe downloading TV shows is legal... I'm not certain but I think since the show does not lose out it doesn't matter. Plus big enough fans to download episodes usually watch them on TV and buy the DVD boxset too.
  10. So I saw episodes 3/4 of 24 series 5 today. Fsking amazing, I loved it.
  11. I've had weirder, but not creepier. Do you have a school counselor?
  12. Jeez guys, a hundred different tutorials? Please, one pointer is enough, otherwise you're just overwhelming the poor guy. We could always try and be the ones that other sites link to, y'know? If it wasn't possible that the thread starter will check them all, I would've deleted them all after the first. There are some talented people on this site so why not share your own knowledge instead of the second hand stuff? Personally, to colour your own lineart I would suggest firstly upping the contrast and erasing unwanted noise, with the eraser or noise reducing filters. If you know the pen tool, you could then redraw your lineart for maximum effect. I'd then set the lineart layer to "Multiply" in the blending options. As for colouring, I find the best way to do it is using a small soft round brush, with the opacity and flow set to 20% or even lower. Start with the darkest shade for the base, and then pick a light source in your mind, adding lighter tones gradually, until you get to near whites for the areas close to your light source (assuming it's meant to have a bright source). Make sure you put each and every colour on it's own layer, so you can erase the parts that overlap the edges without messing up the rest. Use a small 75-85% hardness eraser for that part. Since the line-art is on a multiply layer, it should make the black show up anywhere.
  13. A thread on both boards... not a good idea :/ As for your problem I'm afraid I cannot help, I guess your best bet is to look at any connection-related changes you've made since when it did work and when it stopped working.
  14. The original CSI is set in Las Vegas my friend but carry on.
  15. Are you sure it wasn't called, "The Bus that Couldn't Slow Down"?
  16. Yeah Ashley's cats fail at being cats for missing whiskers and tails - and suggesting that they each swallowed an inflated beach ball, which means they couldn't have managed the pizza at all! anyway cuttlefish: I would like to see a picture of two people standing on their heads.
  17. They have them over here, but they don't have Jaffa Cakes. So the UK wins.
  18. Smallville, I just like Superman and a modern retelling is refreshing, when they get it right. CSI, I always liked this but never really paid much attention. I would always miss the beginning and then not really follow the rest. Since I've had TiVo however, I've really gotten into it, following character growth and underlying story arcs makes it even more intriguing, and somehow their constantly repeated formula never gets old. Viva La Bam. 100 times funnier than Jackass. That guy is a genius. 24, I really wish I could be bothered to watch all of this. I've never seen any of season 2, I've seen half of season three and about 2/3 of season 1 five times. If I could sit down with the box sets, this would be nearer the top of my list. The brand new season starts here on Sunday and I'll be watching. Lost, I really loved the first half of the first season. But... now I can't stand it. It's nonsense and the slowest moving show I've ever seen. However it's on here because the start of the show was great, and I needed another one to make 5.
  19. Favourite Cereal? Probably Lucky Charms or Coco Pops. Favourite breakfast... a sausage and cheese hot sandwhich from the nearby deli. Three thin sausage patties, 2 slices of well melted cheese and a hard roll cooked perfectly, hold the egg.
  20. I'm thinking of trying my hand at 3D design, can someone reccomend me somewhere to start? Software and perhaps tutorials for the very basics with that software (learning the tools etc). My current knowledge of 3D design is... well I don't know anything about it at all.

    My game

Funny that you say Wrath of Heaven. I'm pretty sure Rikimaru was in the original games. Y'know, back when Tenchu didn't suck
  22. Seems fine to me, America have 101 holidays about being American. Like that one where they celebrate graciously recieving their land from the natives then stabbing them in the back so they could have the rest too... what's it called... "Thanksgiving". That's it.

    My game

A surprisingly fun game, and very well made! I think you could really improve the overall experience with some simple cosmetic changes, lusher scenery, improved spelling/punctuation (questions deserve question marks!) and perhaps a sideways facing character for running left and right. But although there's room for simple improvements, I still think its great work.
  24. What he meant is that the guy isn't cheating anybody by pretending he did it all himself - he admitted the way he did it.
  25. i can sell you my old radeon all in wonder when i get back to england... it supports dual display.
