I was hoping to see River City Ransom Underground revealed. Considering the original was such a beloved NES title, it would have made loads of sense.

Great game. Just hope they include an option to turn off that god awful gyroscope controlled camera

Netflix and Prime video would be nice too.

Why is it taking so long to put Netflix on Switch? Be nice to not have to take my tablet out with me as well.

I finished Owlboy. To be honest, my expectations were high due to all the reviews but I was left wanting more. Had some pretty cheap gameplay such as getting hit as soon as you enter a room. Some slightly fiddly controls along with numerous crashes and one boss battle that must’ve dropped to 5fps brought the game down a few notches for me. However, the worst offender had to be the lack of any kind of world map which made navigation more difficult than it needed to be. Seeing as there was dialogue from an NPC early on about Owls being cartographers, this was especially galling.

Enjoying Owlboy. Thought the controls were a bit fiddly at first but mostly used to them now. But why, oh why is there no map???

Yeah, I was wondering how the controls would work in this game. Was thinking a separate joy con scheme would work best, similar to the controls in Prime 3 and the updated Prime Trilogy on Wii. But that would only really work when played on the TV. So there’d need to be a GameCube style control scheme for playing in handheld mode. I assume there’ll be a choice.

Realised that I’ve got a ton of tv to watch over the next few months, with new seasons of the stuff I watch out. Currently blitzing s3 of Gomorrah which is fantastic. Also enjoyed s3 of Mr. Robot, much more grounded storytelling in the style of s1 rather than the second season. Last season of the Americans starts next month as well as new seasons of Westworld, Hap and Leonard, Better Call Saul, Walking Dead, Sneaky Pete, Ozark, American Gods...the list goes on...think I’m actually reaching saturation point. And with loads of other shows on my watch list. Anybody else getting to this stage?

It’s not that I disliked it, far from it. I actually enjoyed listening to the characters’ ramblings and enjoyed the story, actually creeped me out a few times. There just wasn’t much there from a gameplay perspective. Just walking around and occasionally tuning the radio were the only ways to progress as far as I can remember.

I got it free on Xbox Gold a few months ago. It was ok but glad I didn’t pay for it. Makes me wonder whether I’d enjoy Night in the Woods as well...

A red L joy con and a blue R one? Do they do them that way round?

Didn’t Double Dragon slow down ridiculously on the arcade version? Can’t remember it doing back in the 80s but I was a kid back then and the game was the coolest thing ever. Played a MAME emulation a few years ago and it slowed to a crawl every time there were more than 2 enemies on the screen.

Has anybody been watching s2 of this? It’s a big improvement over the first series. They got rid of the American and the celebrity death thing. It’s much more like Top Gear was.

I wish I could finish that last moon but I have terrible gaming skills. I’ve got to the bit with the moving platform and constantly spawning enemies. Got there with 6 health and still died. Tried the other way as well by keeping to the high bits. Maybe I’ll get lucky eventually but then I know I’ll die on a later bit.

I’ve seen it, as I’ve already said in the Netflix thread, defo switch the option to subs. Loved it. Great ending and can’t wait for s2.

Has anyone seen Dark? Binge watched it over the past couple of days. I can understand why people are comparing it to Stranger Things, but it’s nothing like it really. In a good way. Just be sure to turn off the awful English dubbing though and watch it with subtitles.

Watched Hell House LLC last night as my missus always seems to be in the mood for a horror. Found footage, yawn...here we go again. But I actually really enjoyed this one. Was actually pretty scary and I’m not easily scared by movies. Didn’t quite get its ending right and there were the usual tropes that blight found footage films but not nearly as bad as other ones I’ve watched It’s on Amazon Prime if anyone is looking for a decent horror film and wants to check it out. Recommended.
