Hmm. Think this'll be the first Nintendo console I don't buy at launch since the N64 (when I was much more into beer and girls) It's not so much the console, as it looks a fantastic bit of kit, it's the poor launch line up. There's only BotW I'm interested in, and I can get that for Wii U without shelling out an extra £300. The lure of being able to take it on the go is not enough. That, plus no VC at launch, and it's not very tempting to me. I had similar reservations with the Wii U, but even with that, ZombiU interested me, and there was a brand new Mario game that couldn't be played on any older console. But after that and NintendoLand got a bit stale, there wasn't much to keep me interested. I'll likely buy one leading up to Christmas, as it'll likely be cheaper then, and hopefully Mario Odyssey will be out too.

So what is the progression like in this game? Is it just a skill tree where you upgrade your stuff to make it more powerful, or is it more item based progression like Zelda and Metroid? Got to say, I much prefer the latter style, where you see things you can't get to but when you get a certain item, you can go backtracking for it. The main reason I preferred the Tomb Raider reboots to Uncharted.

My sale and purchase went relatively smoothly. Put the house up for sale in early September, moved in to this new house last week. Put my house up for sale for £5k above the price I was prepared to accept and got an offer for asking price within a week. Had a little problem when the survey was done as I needed to get a new roof done which cost 3 grand, so still got £2k over what I wanted. Would have preferred knocking the money off the price but my buyer insisted I took care of it as he was out of the country. That was the only real wobble. New house is great, it's at least 3 times bigger than my old one, which was tiny. My 2 year old loves the space we have now as well. Everyone said we were nuts moving a week before Christmas, but if anything, I think it's made us more organised.

I think what I'm not enjoying about this new Zelda is the inventory management. It just looks like a right hassle cooking food and changing weapons every time they break. I know it adds more RPG elements and some people will love it, but I personally hate that kind of stuff in games. I just want to get on with it and explore.

Anybody watch this then? Thought it was ok, a bit forced at times and therefore not as funny as Top Gear was. Was weird seeing them act like rockstars in the opening segment. Didn't quite fit. They missed having the Stig, the replacement didn't work for me at all and I hope he's not a regular. Was still miles better than the last series of Top Gear though.

I'm assuming it is, but it is a touch screen isn't it? Not seen anything mentioned unless I missed it. Be pretty dumb if not but how would you play a touch screen game on the tv if the console is sat in the dock?
