Picked up Ape Out and Katana Zero on sale. Get the feeling they’ll be too difficult for my particular set of skills but looking forward to giving them a try.

Sorry, that was meant as a sneaky sixth prediction. That none of my list would happen and it would be ultimately disappointing.

1. Wave Race for Switch 2. SNES games to be part of the online package 3. New Paper Mario (or hopefully a TYD remaster/port) 4. Super Mario 3D World 5. Some kind of Smash Bros update. Ultimately disappointing

Jose Antonio Reyes killed in car crash aged 35. RIP.

Not really sold on this. But it still looks better than Toy Story 4.

Fantastic show. Still remember all the news stories about this back when it happened. Last episode next week. Speaking of news stories...

Seem to remember some awful screen tearing in this game and I barely ever notice these things. Great game though, just hope it’s priced appropriately.

Enjoying What We Do In The Shadows. Not as good as the film though.

The Simpsons had a great ending when it concluded its run in 1998. Just a shame they didn’t make any more episodes.

Wouldn’t care if they’d done the best port in the history of mankind. It’s the price that puts me off most.

20 years today since the tragic death of Owen Hart. Still remember watching Over The Edge live on Sky. Still WWE’s darkest day.

I’m just praying that Hollow Knight Silksong is not procedurally generated. Not read anything to say it would be, but it would be a crushing disappointment if it was.

Picked up Dead Cells in the sale. Honestly not sure what I think about it. The fact it’s a roguelike was the reason I didn’t bother at launch as they’re just not my thing at all but the acclaim this game got tempted me into giving it a go. I love the combat and weapons. That side of the gameplay is superb, but I’ve said over and over you just can’t beat a handcrafted game world. At the moment, it just feels like I’m grinding for cells until I can unlock a better starting weapon (that in itself needs 10 other items to be unlocked before you can work on getting it) as I seem to be just getting my arse kicked every time I meet a boss (though I did manage to beat the Concierge once or twice) Unless I’m missing something, I’m enjoying it but not blown away like a lot seem to be.

One of the best endings of all time had to be The Wire. Series 5 wasn’t the best mainly due to the “serial killer” story, but the way it didn’t even try to wrap everything up, the whole point to it all was that there was no point at all. Life just went on, cycles repeated with different characters and the whole futility of everything was much more impactful than the shows who kill off half the cast in the finale (as Game of Thrones probably will) Other great endings were Justified, The Americans and Rectify, all proving that you can end a drama successfully without having to rely on a shocking death or two.

I bought the Big Block DLC yesterday, mainly for the missus as she loves this game. When I paid for it though, it said it also included “DLC 2” coming in 2019. Don’t remember reading anything about that so wonder what that could be.

Yeah, can’t see that they could keep it going much past the inevitable uprising in s3. Had a blast watching s2 of Cobra Kai. And pleased that it’s been renewed for a third season. Very cheesy, but that’s how it’s intended.

Such a marvellous thing that’s going on at our club at the minute. Always knew that we were living beyond our means during the Premier League/Europe years, but the owner we’ve had over the past few years has totally ground us into the dirt. This is what happens when chairmen are more interested in lining their own pockets than what’s best for the club. Sad to say, I can see it getting worse under this new ownership and am wondering if there’ll even be a club next season.
