DCK Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 http://calsun.canoe.ca/News/World/2006/10/19/2068308-sun.html They're mad... Not to be stereotypical or anything but what is the American culture becoming?
Eenuh Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 That is funny and sad at the same time. Poor kids. Stupid parents.
Haver Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 We weren't allowed to play Tag at Primary school. We're weren't allowed to run in the playground.
demonmike04 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Tag banned, children must weigh a minimum of 12 stone. Under-age sex promoting game 'Kiss Chase' remains. You know it makes sense. We weren't allowed to play Tag at Primary school. We're weren't allowed to run in the playground. Kids, walk in calmly, theres a rampant peadophile on the premises.
Kurtle Squad Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 It also says they've banned touch [American] football. Nothing there about the real thing Tag banned, children must weigh a minimum of 12 stone. Under-age sex promoting game 'Kiss Chase' remains. "Children end up playing behind bikeshed where they say they meet 'Santa' on a regular basis"
The Peeps Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 That's mental... Not too long before it happens here too though tbh.
Kurtle Squad Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 The fucking Land of the Free. If you ask me, Americans are one of the least free peoples of the Western world. Their mainstream media's so propagandist etc etc...
triforce_keeper Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Awwww loved that game. Stupid school.
Rapture1984 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 We had bulldog and POGS banned when I was at school, it's just the shitty media blowing everything out of proportion. I know Americans aren't the smartest nation in the world but you can't honestly believe that the people in charge of the school banned it out of fear of a law suit. The principal may very well have said Recess is "a time when accidents can happen" but seems like quoting out of context to me.
Dan_Dare Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 on an unrelated note, rapture clearly has a boss sig
Cube Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 We had bulldog and POGS banned when I was at school Bulldog, pogs, football album stickers, yo-yos, trading cards, anything related to pokemon. All banned at my primary school.
Roostophe Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 We had Pogs, Yoyo's, Pokemon Battle Cards, Tamagotchi's, Bulldog, Premier League stickers, all banned because of one incident that happened with each, it was rubbish, I tell you. Total pants.
martinist Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Pokemon cards, bulldog and a couple of other things were banned at my P school
Nintenchris Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 You think thats bad... we wasnt aloud to play football cos one kid broke his leg while playing!
DCK Posted October 20, 2006 Author Posted October 20, 2006 I think the US government should, if they have any sanity left, change their law so that this sueing culture stops. It's really f.cking up the country.
Emasher Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 We weren't allowed to play Tag at Primary school. We're weren't allowed to run in the playground. thats harsh primary goes up to grade 3 in north america (or at least in canada) elementary goes up to grade 4-6 depending on where you live
Kaeporagaebora Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I think the US government should, if they have any sanity left, change their law so that this sueing culture stops. It's really f.cking up the country. They wouldn't be able to change the law without "infringing" on someone's freedom. I don't care if I sound inhumane and like a fascist: People just can't deal with having freedom. It's sad, but we live in an age where people can't take care of themselves. At this point, there's no turning back for the US. In 1776, people were able to realize they have to take responsibility for their actions, but now, I don't know. Ugh. I hate people.

Surely it's an infringement of the kids' freedom to stop them playing tag.
