Fierce_LiNk Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 make sure she watches repeats of magic roundabout! "time for bed zebadee!" *boing!* There's always room for Trumpton (trumpten) as well. And camberwick green.
Twozzok Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I say call her Stephanie, after the star of LazyTown:
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Maybe Mr_Odwin could create a poll about what to call his daughter?
Guest Ford Prefect Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 There's always room for Trumpton (trumpten) as well. And camberwick green. but of course, i was gonna mention it but i thought trumpton would have been lost on the uncultured youth that inhabit this forum!
AshMat Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Congrats, make sure shes a pro gamer. Touch typing before she's 5
Katie Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Why do you hate Mr_Odwin's baby, stop suggesting such horrible names.
The fish Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Why do you hate Mr_Odwin's baby, stop suggesting such horrible names. How is Persephone a horrible name?
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 How is Persephone a horrible name? When you name your kid Persephone, and they start high school, they'll tell you why!
The fish Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 When you name your kid Persephone, and they start high school, they'll tell you why! Apart from the fact that some retarded teachers pronounce it "per-se-fone", the girl I know called it has had no problems.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Apart from the fact that some retarded teachers pronounce it "per-se-fone", the girl I know called it has had no problems. She's lucky to have such forgiving friends. Probably a good school too? There's always been kids i've known who have weird names and get picked on. This one kid i knew was called "Lee" but he spelt it the welsh way, being "lea". Thing is, lots of people called him "lea/leah" like the girl's name, and it used to piss him off lots.
The fish Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Thing is, lots of people called him "lea/leah" like the girl's name, and it used to piss him off lots. Yeah, but they should be shot.
Arragaun Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I think you should call her Odwinion Unit 01. It'll be cool. And congratulations by the way.
triforce_keeper Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 kizzie is a nice name call it her now dammit lol
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Yeah, but they should be shot. Hehe, true. Some kids can be really cruel. Once you become an adult, unusual sounding names can sometimes be a good thing. People remember your name because it sounds different, for example.
AshMat Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Well my name is also a girl's name, some people say i must be a girl because of that ¬_¬ (not anymore like)
Babooo Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Generic congratulatory message! Same here. Congrats mate!!!
soag Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 congrats, she so cute, i may have to steal her. I say call her Rose such a pretty name
Mr_Odwin Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 My surname in real life is Pike, not Odwin, if that helps anyone with the names. (Persephone Pike doesn't sound great.) We originally had Anna, Leah, Ruth and Katie as potential names but I'm not sure if she actually looks like she'd suit any of those.
EEVILMURRAY Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Ganondorf Pike. Unisex. Phoebe [A name I'd consider for a daughter] Failing that: Angelina Uzi 9mm Akbar Mustafa Pike. Maybe shorten it by taking out the Akbar Mustafa. Alexandra!
Ashley Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Congratulations. Call her Veronica Pike, go on :P But seriously, the only names I can ever think of are guys names, although I want a girl. So um I suck? Stephanie? Stacey? (listening to Stacey's Mom) Emily? Lilly? Phoebe [A name I'd consider for a daughter] My friend's daughter is named that, great name. Apparently while pregnant she had a dream her child was called Phoebe, and thats how she picked it.
