No mention of You're the best from Karate kid? That's hot shit, right there.

Try to be best

‘Cause you’re only a man

And a man’s gotta learn to take it

Try to believe

Though the going gets rough

That you gotta hang tough to make it

History repeats itself

Try and you’ll succeed

Never doubt that you’re the one

And you can have your dreams!

You’re the best!

Around!

Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down

You’re the Best!

Around!

Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down

You’re the Best!

Around!

Nothing’s gonna ever keep you dow-ow-ow-ow-own

Good choices

Mmhmm

The Touch:- Transformers the movie soundtrack

A bit of Stan Bush always gets a nod, Dare also comes highly recommended.

I still think "Man in Motion" by John Parr (not the recent bastardisation) is top of the pile, alongside Herbert Grönemeyer's "Manner", the themes from Baywatch and Ghostbusters, Michael Macdonald's "Sweet Freedom" and Whitesnake's "Straight for the Heart".

the futureheads - area

shout out louds - 100º

the beatles - yellow submarine

the kinks - you really got me

david bowie - space oddity

pretty much all of the zutons stuff has a happy infulence on me, especially valerie and remember me.

dan dare suggestion of clor and the go! team is an awesome one.

also, the scrubs theme tune by lazlo bane (called superman funnily enough) is a happy song even though the lyrics are a little ominous.
