Zechs Merquise Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Does anyone else think the new ship looks bad? I agree, it looks very poor and is not well done at all. Although considering the original ship was a kinda flying version of Samus' head, they didn't have much to work with!
Dark Wolf Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Should I play Metroid Prime 1 and 2 before playing this? I have Metroid Prime, which is great, but I haven't completed it. Will do though on my new Wii
Shino Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Should I play Metroid Prime 1 and 2 before playing this? I have Metroid Prime, which is great, but I haven't completed it. Will do though on my new Wii I would, considering they're the most plot connected games in the Metroid series.
The Bard Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Should I play Metroid Prime 1 and 2 before playing this? I have Metroid Prime, which is great, but I haven't completed it. Will do though on my new Wii Hehe...the last boss is gonna kick your ass . Get MP2 aswell, It'll be much more fun playing Prime 3 when you're already into the series...
Kraser Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I'm ansious to see how this game will be, visually....
The Bard Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Well, It'll look a hell of a lot better than Zelda, seeing as it was built specifically for Wii...
Kraser Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Well, It'll look a hell of a lot better than Zelda, seeing as it was built specifically for Wii... Well, that obvious! And i think that this will be the truly game that will show to us the real horsepower of the Wii. I just hope that people do really say "Wow"
Zechs Merquise Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I think this game will be nice looking. I'm looking forward to this a lot, I loved MP and MP2, but the whole dark world light world thing didn't really do it for me, nor did the ammo system. But it was still great. My only concerns are over the controls. I wish the option of classic controls was in there too.
DCK Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 MP3 is the one FPS nobody ever had any major complaints over. The controls will be even better than on previous generations. In fact, gameplay elements now require motion sensing.
Kazzahdrane Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I heard to lock on you have to clench your arse cheeks.
solitanze Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 This time round do you think they'll get Samus to be more revealing if you are the ultimate master of the game where she'd completely strip out of the suit and just wear a bikini [not nude obviously but close to it], not just take off her helmet?
Jamba Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Oh dear, is it fanwank time already? Sheesh... I'm really looking forward to this game but I hope that they really do focus on the story this time. From that lond demo video on IGN there seem to be a lot of scripted scenes and storyboarded sequences so I would think so but still. Just hope that they dont hash up the story and come up with some weak explanation for phazon. Oh and for those above, do not the ship. I know I wont be when I'm blasting a huge boss in the face with it's cannons.
blender Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 New TRAILERrrrrrrrrr http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?r=1&type=wmv&id=15092 I'm a fire starter.
solitanze Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I just hope they NAIL the controls. Based on latest playtests, they say they're 90% there with perfect control, but still got minor issues with the trade off between aiming vs movement, but obviously leaps and bounds beyond red steel.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I like the trailer, its more promising. Hard to tell what the controls are like though.
Nintendork Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 How can you put a percentage on something liek a control scheme. It works or it doesn't. It's a primary function.. the game shouldn't progress unless it works. Every button should do something, if it doesn't do something the button shouldn't be used. Simple philosophy. Seeing as Metroid has been going since the earliest stages of Wii development any controller problems going into 2007 are unnacceptable. It looks quite pacey with the music.
Din Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Hehe...the last boss is gonna kick your ass . Get MP2 aswell, It'll be much more fun playing Prime 3 when you're already into the series... Now I thought Meta Ridley was harder. I've never swore so much in my life!!!
mcj metroid Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Now I thought Meta Ridley was harder. I've never swore so much in my life!!! spider ball guardian in mp2 was the hardest of all.also thought fighting 3 bosses in a row at the end without save was mad
flameboy Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 ive only played one, doubt i will have time to play 2nd with all the great wii and ds games out in the mean time. guess ill just have to go in blind..
Din Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 spider ball guardian in mp2 was the hardest of all.also thought fighting 3 bosses in a row at the end without save was mad Yeah, the last boss in Echoes was bloody hard!
Atomic Boo Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I really hope the game is just as long as the others, and i hope there are loads of secrets and missile expansions. Love it when you enter a new environment or upgrade your weapon cause it opens up so many places. As The Bard said:this will be the best game ever. Unless theres a 4th one, although that would be a different series and might not be 1st person
The Bard Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Now I thought Meta Ridley was harder. I've never swore so much in my life!!! I found Meta Ridley pretty easy actually, it was just the last part of the final boss that had me really puzzled... Hard mode slays me though.
Fierce_LiNk Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 It took me ages to nail Meta Ridley. It nearly drove me to tears. You can imagine the expression on my face when i beat that sucker. I had a sore throat afterwards due to my shouting (excitement). That's when i knew Metroid Prime was one of the greatest games ever.
