Developer Front Studios revealed to us that they're currently working on several Wii projects. One of the three titles revealed to us was a title already discussed in the past: Sadness. In co-production with Polish developer Nibris, Front Studios are working on Sadness for the Wii console. Although the game was one of the first games announced for the platform, Front Studios stated that the title is currently planned for Q2 2008. I'm not at all excited about Sadness, just don't know enough about it and don't see where the hype is coming from, all that's mostly been seen is drawings (which anyone can do) and some screenshots. No gameplay for this, 'working on three titles' and way too much artwork releases makes me think that it's not coming out. It's typical for a failing indie developer to focus far too much on announcements and artwork than on actually making a game. I doubt we'll ever see this game come out. flameboy Posted February 25, 2007 Share Posted February 25, 2007 I still don't see any game... haha good point, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't ever see this much like DCK,for some reason the first time I read about this in NGamer ages back, it reminded me of the flood of crap interactive FMV titles that flooded formats such as the Mega CD and the CDi (which of course also hosted the awful Zelda games Link: The Faces of Evil, Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon and Zelda's Adventure.) when developers realised how much movie stuff you could fit on a CD, one called Night Trap springs to mind (created some controversy I think cos it had women in skimpy underwear!) 4q2 Posted February 26, 2007 Share Posted February 26, 2007 I agree it is worrying that nothing has been shown of this title other than concept artwork....For the amount of time Nibris have been 'working' on this I would have expected to at least see some evidence of an early build of the game. That's because the hype isn't coming from the game's looks, it's coming from its concept. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how this game will turn out cause its concept is very interesting. It would be a lot easier to get excited if a bit more solid information was made available - didn't the developers say that they didn't want to reveal too much to avoid any surprises ? or is this just another way of saying that this may not eventually see the light of day ?
