WackerJr Posted Tuesday at 10:13 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:13 PM Nope, no joy(con) for me either. Congrats to those that got selected! 1
Dcubed Posted yesterday at 07:14 PM Author Posted yesterday at 07:14 PM Well well well… With Forza now coming to PS5, I think it’s safe to say that we’ll also be seeing it and everything else under the Xbox banner now coming to Switch 2. I am 95% confident that Halo The Master Chief Collection will be a day 1 launch title now; and it’s going to be utterly massive on the platform. Mark my words, Microsoft will be the single biggest 3rd party contributor to Switch 2 throughout its lifetime; by an absolute country mile. So much so, that Switch 2 will essentially be an Xbox console in all but name. If Nintendo were looking for something to truly differentiate Switch 2 from its predecessor? They just found it! 1
Ashley Posted yesterday at 07:34 PM Posted yesterday at 07:34 PM I think the bigger question is what year do you think will be the last Just Dance release on Switch? I could see it going to 2029.
Julius Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Feels kind of obvious to state at this point given that it's coming to PS5, but eXtas1s is saying that Forza Horizon 5 will indeed be coming to Switch 2. Like @Dcubed said, I imagine this is going to be the case for as much of the Xbox catalogue as the Switch 2 can handle. I'm curious to see what's there at launch. I think Halo and Forza Horizon both would be an absolute killer Day 1 combo. ...which is exactly why curation of your catalogue's releases is so important. You read to start taking some notes come the launch of the Switch 2, Phil & co.?
Dcubed Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago I hope we get some of the classic OG Xbox and 360 titles ported over as well. I bet there’s a very large Nintendo audience who would love to see the likes of Fable 1-3, PGR 1-4, Grabbed by the Ghoulies etc hit the Switch 2. Focusing only on their newer titles would be a big mistake. Get an OG Xbox and 360 emulator up and running on Switch 2 and get those older titles on the console too!

I think the PGR games are wishful thinking seeing as they're not even on Xbox BC. As much as I'd like to see them too, it seems like they've given up with that now and what's currently available is all we're potentially going to get. Fable and Grabbed by the Ghoulies seem much more reasonable, especially the latter. Edited 21 hours ago by Nicktendo

And real ports of everything on Rare Replay (well, emulation for pre-64 stuff is fine). I think good remasters of everything N64 onwards would perform well on Switch/Switch 2. 1
S.C.G Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Yep, a re-tooled version of Rare Replay would do very nicely on the Switch 2, it could even launch with the console... depending on when it launches, it would be very close to the ten year anniversary of Rare Replay, as it originally launched as an Xbox One exclusive title on 4th August, 2015. 2
BowserBasher Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago If we get Forza, we need analogue triggers or it’s just going to be a subpar experience. Maybe the Mario Kart Wheel that only I bought () will be compatible with Switch 2 games so we at least have that way to have analogue go and stop pedals. 3
Julius Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Just been adding some indie games to my Steam wishlist, and realised that I add so many games to my Steam wishlist via the Steam app purely because it's the easiest to access and navigate, and despite the fact that it's my least used ecosystem that I have access to: it doesn't have a silly limit like the PS Store wishlist does, and I can only access my Switch wishlist via the website or the console itself. I also get regular notifications from the Steam app which helps me keep an eye on when things are releasing and what I'm interested in. It's got me thinking just how much more I want out of the eShop next gen, namely I'd want to see an app for it outside of it actually performing well and not being a stuttering mess. Oh, and maybe some awesome music to vibe to while looking around again, too. What are everyone else's hopes for a potentially revamped or new approach to the eShop on the Switch 2? Is there anything in particular you want to see them do differently or learn from the eShop as it is on Switch? 1
killthenet Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I don't think the eShop interface is too bad, it's clear and simple to navigate, but they definitely need to make huge changes on the back end in terms of discoverability. The cash grab spam issue is a major one that needs to be addressed but even if they excised all that stuff it would still be hard for most games to get noticed so I guess a review system that is tied to your NSO account would be a good way of highlighting quality titles without the cash grab devs being able to exploit the system in their favour. Besides that though the main thing for me is the speed, it's so excruciating to navigate it at the moment if you're looking through the games that are on offer - I've got used to it over the years but I would probably go to the eShop a lot more if it was a smoother and snappier experience 1
