bob Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 I don't often back Kickstarters, but this sounds like quite a fun idea;https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/393053146/powerup-dart-app-controlled-paper-airplane-with-tr?ref=video
Ashley Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 The new software auto-converts Kickstarter links to an embedded video. When posting make sure you post the link twice, once for the video and the second time click 'Display as link instead' after you've pasted. You can click on the video (once you've started it playing) to go to the URL though.
bob Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 That seems needlessly complicated. And also impossible to do using Tapatalk. Thanks for fixing my post though.
Sméagol Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 This looks pretty cool, though I have never heard of this particular crowdfunding site: https://www.fig.co/campaigns/obelus?media_id=i1051
Happenstance Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Fig was created by a collection of devs if I remember right. I think Tim Schafer was one. 1

Happenstance Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Thanks, I've just backed it. What I really need to do is actually get around to reading these damn books! 1
S.C.G Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Same, shamefully I've barely read all of the game books I have but I'm hoping to put them all in a more permanent place when I'm finished sorting out my room so that I'm more likely to read them more often. 1
Happenstance Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 I might grab one now actually. I've got around 25 in my collection so far (not counting my kindle Boss Fight books) and it feels like I've only read maybe 5 all the way through. Got to admit though, some are really daunting. The Art of Blizzard Entertainment for example is just huge!

Happenstance Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Ok then, starting with The Art of Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney right now. I'm in the mood to replay those games so probably a good one to read next. 1
Happenstance Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 If anyone ever needs a good list of video game art books and short reviews on them then I suggest using the Parka Blogs page I link to below. Its helped me find quite a few books I didn't know had been released. https://www.parkablogs.com/content/video-game-art-books-list 2
Ashley Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 This looks like it could be interesting, although I don't know if it will run into any kind of legal issues: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1316851183/nesmaker-make-nes-games-no-coding-required?ref=thanks_tweet 1

Happenstance Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 I see Swery's crowdfunded game is making a return, this time on Kickstarter and with a lower asking price. I may actually back it this time. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-03-26-whats-changed-in-swerys-second-attempt-to-crowdfund-the-good-life
Julius Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 (edited) Monster Crown looks like a pretty fun GB/GBA era Pokémon-inspired game, but with some key mechanics that many Pokémon fans have wanted to see for a long time (such as cross-breeding), and it’s already met it’s baseline goal. Seems like it could be one to keep an eye on. Currently in development for Android, Linux, Windows, Vita (?!) and Switch. Edited April 11, 2018 by Julius Caesar

I just selected a low tier for now, I'll up my tier to something physical when the backerkit is up. It has achieved its goal at this point. Still some time left to achieve the Switch release stretch goal! Kickstarter page: Edited May 4, 2018 by Sméagol
