Please pass on to all agencies. Thank you. Hahaha yes I can see why you would feel that way and god there were a ton of other transformers I would rather have become the Prime... BUT THEN THEY KILLED OPTIMUS PRIME! Heartless, soulless EMPTY attempt to cash in by making more toys. I hope the people who ok'd that horrible, pointless death have some kind of horrific genital dysfunction for the rest of their sad, miserable lives. Bit harsh lol but yeah obviously it was a very cynical move to get toy sales up. I think Mokong's reply below pretty much sums up for me. For me Optimus Prime dying was a defining moment of my childhood. I know like the death of a pet usually helps kids learn about death but for me Transformers the movie did, still feel a slight feeling when it happens. Maybe so but I still remember it fondly as being the first time I cried watching a film. The shock and trauma didn't turn me off from the film at all. Though I think I may have been expecting him to return by the end of it in a Galvatron sort of manner but had to wait ages for it to happen in the show. Although I did have some traumatic flashbacks when Ironhide was killed in the last film Back on topic... This might be a spoiler since some might not have seen it so Didn't they kill off every single Decepticon, Megatron, Starscream, and everyone else? What the hell would they do in a 4 and 5.... the only way I would accept them being brought back to life, especially Megatron is if Unicron does it and he becomes Galvatron Just back to the subject of transformers 4+5 I very much feel if the rumours of Jason Stratham are true then they are pretty much setting out their stall to make it out an right brash action romp. The Shia La Beouf teen saga never connected with me which is why I hated them I think. I know this may sound wierd but for me I think I would relate much more to including child actors or actual teen actors not adults pretending to be. I think that wonder and awe at the transformers would help bring a certain nostalgia and whimsy to the film and that warm feeling the likes of The Goonies bring. If we're being cynical as well, making the character more define-able surely makes selling toys easier. Michael Bay is reportedly in "final negotiations" to direct Transformers 4. According to Vulture, the deal is not sealed yet but their sources say it "is not far from closing." The plan is for Bay to first shoot his longtime pet project Pain and Gain this spring while prepping Transformers 4 for a winter 2012 start. Vulture claims the fourth installment "is definitely not a prequel, and that it will delve deeper into Transformers canon to mine older characters and lore." An official announcement on Bay's deal is expected soon. Gotta get round to watching the third film! Might look at getting the blu-ray for Chirstmas. Qs. How much does 3 relate to 2?
