I don't care if a girl likes games or not, as long as she doesn't have a problem with me playing them a lot when in the house.

lol, I have the opposite problem, bf has gotten annoyed at me before for gaming too often :p

Anyway, someone update me on Serebii's adventures, haven't been on here in ages (and I am too lazy to read everything ever)! :)

Basically, Serebii comes on and he's all like "girls don't like me!" and everyone was like "relax brah!" and he was all like "I can't find one I like!" and everyone was like "your standards are too high" and he was all like "but no girl will love Pokemans like i do!" and everyone was like "jeeze that doesn't matter" and he was all "everyone else sucks that's the problem" and then Judge Jay7 stopped fighting Australian Godzilla and laid down the law with a thorough bitchslapping and rode off into the sunset and everyone high-fived and the team won the big game and little Jimmy beat cancer and the aliens exploded and the dog and the two little cats made it home and the gopher danced and everyone got laid*. It was awesome.

*Except for Serebii, who won't stop making excuses for himself

Sometimes, yes. Obviously not ignoring her, but it will be no different to people who watch lots of TV.

That's pretty much my argument. I'm living in a situation to feel kinda bad whenever I play computer games, and it sucks. Others can sit and mong in front of a tv ALL DAY, but playing a game is meant to be worse? At least I'm challenging my brain rather than just soaking up 100 varieties of marketing!

... HOWEVER! Prioritising your relationship over games is probably a good idea. The benefit of gaming that I outlined above can be a negative quite quickly; because of the increased involvement you'll find it harder/more annoying to be interrupted.

I think a lot of people have been brought up in families that would gather together to watch TV, so there's still the social element, whereas gaming is fairly solo (even if you headset/multiplay online, it's exclusive) and, in a way, directly far more selfish.

It's a complex issue, of course, but I did have to adapt my gaming 'routine', and several times I did have to just switch my game off without saving and remember "it's only a game." If I played too much I'd be agitated, but also if I didn't get my fix, I'd be agitated. It's interesting, though, when you try to be a bit more objective about things like this.

My girlfriend and I have vastly different tastes in everything. She also has a habit of automatically not being able to enjoy something that I say she would like. But that's another issue!

Obviously you're playing the wrong games. My family bonded over games like Micro Machines V3, Micro Maniacs, Mario Party, Mario Kart etc.

I meant while at home, I certainly wouldn't choose games over going out somewhere. At the very least, it would be fine if she didn't mind me playing on the Vita or 3DS if she was watching some trashy TV show.

Just think of how awesome your childhood would have been if there'd been a game called Micro Mario.

  • 2 weeks later...

My ex friend/ex crush had a date with a girl last night. I have a funny feeling he went out with a group of people with her on purpose so I'd hear about it. And according to my sister she's not particularly "slim" or "skinny" (after the whole lose weight and I'll date you thing)

I just wish you could delete someone out of your life as easy as you can delete them on facebook, lol

I'm not really heartbroken, just annoyed because i was getting used to his annoyingness not being in my head >_<

Ah! That old chestnut. I feel for you Raining, it's a difficult one.

But you made the right choice, it's going to be tough forgetting, but in the end it's easier than having to deal with him as you were and you'll move on.

Boys are more complicated than they like to think, one particular boy is driving me up the wall. I should probably tell him to do one.

I should make a comic. Spinster Steph ahoy!
