Murr Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Man horribly mutilates himself with Pokémon body art. We're sure his 80 year-old self will thank him! Some days, we really despair of humanity. Today, as our retinas are forever scarred by a guy who's mutilated himself with subdermal implants and tattoo work to give himself Poké Balls arms, is sadly one of those 24 hour periods. Above: Witness Alex Finch show what a level-headed decision maker he is when it comes to Nintendo. Honestly, what in the holy hell of Professor Oak's good name was this guy huffin' when he decided that this was in any way a good idea? Source - Gamesradar.com I've got a large tri-force on my back, but it's not as bad as this fella has done.
EEVILMURRAY Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 You may think this is bad. But it will never compare to the Lizard Man.
Ramar Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I don't mind the tattoos, if you want pokéballs up your arm fair enough. But why the lump bits, it looks disturbing. Not to mention what trainer ever had pokéballs as part of his arm.. if he was that obsessed why not get a nice belt buckle with a few pokéballs on. Some people.
Pancake Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 The tatts are fine, but those lumps are just gross! Alien arm!
Murr Posted February 9, 2011 Author Posted February 9, 2011 I've heard this is fake. Really doesn't look fake, and by looking at the first / top pic the guy has a spacer in his nostril and what appears to be a tattoo blacked out on his chin in the second picture, it wouldn't seem to far out of the ordinary for him to put lumps in his arm.
Goafer Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Meh. Woman puts silicone in her tits, no one cares. Man puts silicone in his arm and all of a sudden he is "horribly mutilating himself". I hate how judgmental a lot of articles are when it comes to unusual body mods. Not my cup-o-tea. Each to their own I guess.
The Mad Monkey Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Meh, seen better, or worse dependding on your viewpoint.
Paj! Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Meh. Woman puts silicone in her tits, no one cares. Man puts silicone in his arm and all of a sudden he is "horribly mutilating himself". I hate how judgmental a lot of articles are when it comes to unusual body mods. Breast implants (and other similar surgeries) usually only emphasise body parts that we are used to seeing/make sense. People take everything to the extreme of course, but most boob jobs/similar still look "normal". This isn't normal. He can do what he wants with his body, but it looks absolutely awful. 90% of body-mods I've seen do. The only one I vaguely enjoy is the split tongue. Since that's jokes.
EddieColeslaw Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I don't understand the appeal of subdermal implants either. I've seen some where it's shaped like a heart or something instead of a lump, but ball-shaped ones just look like...a lump on your arm (my piercer has one). I think head ones look "better", as in the effect looks less random, at least. There is nothing I hate more than when body modification is referred to as "mutilation". Is plastic surgery not "mutilation" as well, then? Or braces? I mean, it's metal glued onto your teeth and moderate amounts of pain involved. Why are stretched ears considered mutilation, but not "normal" 18g stud earrings? Stretching isn't even supposed to hurt at all. /rant
MoogleViper Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Or braces? That's a stupid comparison. People don't have braces because they like the look of them. They're there to fix a problem.

Raining_again Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 he's got a huge stretch in a lip piercing which is a whole lot more "mutilating"
Paj! Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I hate to sound all Daily Mail here, but surely there's something slightly off psychologically with you to have such a desire to alter your body, while knowing it isn't "normal"/"attractive"/"pleasant". I know there's stuff in the DSM-IV about facial peircings. [not saying people are mentally ill or anything, but there must be psychological reasonings/roots to the choice to alter your body in such an ugly way]

Paj! Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Well yeah I used inverted comments cause I know it's not the right word.

Putting a gun to a kids ear to have studding earrings, when the gun cannot be as clean as a needle is considered fine, but a man walking around with something he wants in his arm isn't. Argh, the world is crazy.
IAmMarti Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I want a pokemon tattoo...or several. Was thinking a picture of all the cute legendarys on my leg for a LEGendry leg (lol) alternativly I think the picture of the pokemon card 'lillypad mew' is sweet...or ancient mew...
Caris Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I don't know what possess people to get certain tattoos, they're with you for life, not 5-10 years.
