I was watching a YouTube video the other day on fictional bands that would be ace if they existed so I figured I'd post a few that I wish were real and see what others thought on the topic.

A few personal favourites:

Diva Plavalaguna - Fifth Element

The Beets - Doug

Crucial Taunt - Wayne's World

Sex Bob-Omb - Scott Pilgrim

I was also obsessed by this band when the film came out:

I made my dad record the audio onto tape. Tthis was before youtube y'all, like 1998 or whatever it was.

I'm still stunned.

EDIT: I don't expect anyone to watch it, but mad props if you recognise Bad News :P

Ooooh! Just rememered!!

You people remember A Goofy Movie? There was this fictional MJ'esque artist figure that was central to the plot, called Powerline:

The weird part is I was really into it. Playin the tape over and over on the same 2 parts. Particularly on the chorus of Stand Out.

Teen Horniness Is Not A Crime - Krysta Now

Also YESSSSS at Robin Sparkles, Coolness. That song is forever in my head.

I love "What it's all abouht!". And how it's a clear parody of Alanis Morissette's early canadian career.

Gotta be Robin Sparkles. Not only are all the songs classics and generally fun but its a great parody of 80's pop music.

Two beavers are better than one indeed.
