I don't really buy a lot of comic books. The last lot I bought were the Invincable compendiums, but i've heard good things about the IDW Sonic comics.

Flights to and from Bilbao and also rented an Air BnB there with 3 friends.

Never been to Spain. I'm so fucking excited :D

(cost me way too much money, though :()

How have you never been to Spain!?

I should hopefully be going there twice this summer.

And to that point; forked out about £100 for a new passport when you include postage etc.

Going to get one of those ugly Brexit black passports :( :( :(

Good question.

I thought it was because I'm not a well-traveled person, but I've been to quite a few countries. Just not Spain :p

Hell yeah, have a great time @drahkon :peace:

Speaking of holidays – I'm planning to be in Berlin in June :D and hopefully somewhere in Europe a good bit sunnier in October, as me and my docs are looking into me having pretty severe SAD, so this seems like a wonderful way to give myself the excuse to leave the UK behind for a week before it all goes to crap

(well hopefully not this year but we'll see)

Mine needs renewing in the next 12 months as it expires next spring, but I'm really not looking forward to joining the Ugly Passport Club

Choosing to believe you just have an aversion to entering France's airspace.

You say that but I went to Berlin in August and ended up trying to buy a hat because it was so sunny but it was a Sunday and apparently Germans don't open shops on a Sunday?

Although speaking of make sure you don't fall foul of the 10 year passport rule. Mine actually expires in July, but if you renew a passport and there's months left on it they get carried over so you end up with 10 years + remainder. However, now we've left the EU if your passport is over 10 years it won't be accepted and that's the case with mine - it was issued in February 2015 and expires July 2025, but can't now travel to the EU on it because its been 10 years since it was issued.

Ah, I meant sunnier than here in the UK in October, rather than sunnier than Berlin. My bad  I'm expecting nice weather in Berlin in June! Maybe some showers though?

I mean, @drahkon please confirm for Germany, but I definitely found that to be the case for most shops across quite a few countries I visited that shared borders with Germany growing up (Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands) so wouldn't be too surprised!

I've technically been in Germany before, for all of 30 minutes as we parked the car there and walked back over the bridge to visit a park in Luxembourg, but still :p

Thanks for the heads-up – yeah, I'm planning on having this Berlin trip probably be the last one on my current passport and then send off for a new one before my travels (hopefully) in October/November, as I know some countries can get a bit weird about having 6 months or less on your passport!

hori-ps5-fighting-stick-alpha-tekken-8-e

Finally got around to ordering my PS5/PC fightstick. Went with the Tekken 8 decal as it was a lot cheaper than the basic or STVI versions. I may still make my own and swap it out.

Now to watch you complain that they are boring and you don't like them. :D

From what I've played so far (i.e. one level in each game):
THEY SUCK.

Nah, both seem like a good time :D

I guess @nekunando is also German when it comes to playing games.

If it's German to have played the Pepper Grinder demo months ago on Switch and not have been sold enough to purchase the game, then I guess I'm German..?

I don't think you guys appreciate how difficult it can be to have such narrow interests 🥲

My phone's battery started dying really quickly when it got below 25%, so I started googling around, and apparently it's a known issue with the Pixel 7a. They have a thing called the Pixel 7a Swollen Battery replacement program, where they'll replace the battery for free or, give you £300+. (Sure enough, I took the rubber casing off my phone, and it's cracked the back where the battery is bulging out - I hadn't noticed).

So I opted for the free money, and have bought a Pixel 9a.

In slightly worse news, my phone could explode at any moment.

Interesting. I've had the 7 Pro for coming up to 3 years. Normally I would have upgraded sooner but the last few ones have been all AI and not much else so I've passed.

Maybe the 10 later this year. Unless my phone blows up.

Yeah, I normally would wait for 2+ years at least before considering an upgrade, but luckily this happened now - if I'd waited until June, I'd have been out of warranty and not received as much money for it.
